It went very very well. Very Satisfied,,,Would definitely use again.

I have hired Skilled maids a few times in the last 2 years and they have always been prompt. The ladies are always curtious and work very hard. All but one crew worked fast and thorough. Last year when we had a not so thorough crew, the manager sent over another crew to complete what was not done. One time a ceramic was broken but the crew let me know and we got a replacement from the company. Crews have never asked for a tip but tips should be given for thorough work.

Skilled Maids arrived right on time and worked non-stop for 3 hours. The 3-person crew was well coordinated and our house was spotless. I was surprised that they were able to clean all of the baseboards in our townhouse (1600 square feet). They also cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, freezer and microwave. They cleaned under area rugs, couches and beds. They also put clean linens on our beds and left little touches like fanning tissues. Our bedroom and bathrooms were so clean we felt like we were in a hotel.

They cleaned it adequately however, they broke a glass shelf in my medicine cabinet and wouldn't admit they broke it. It is still broken and they did NOTHING to make amends. Makes me think twice about blindly taking a highly rated firm from this website. Not sure why they were highly rated.

They did a fabulous job!! The granite counter was sparkling! The refrigerator, microwave and all the appliances looked very clean and shiny. The bathrooms were completely dirt free and the carpets were all vacuumed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting their house cleaned from top to bottom!!

Let me start by saying that Skilled Maids was so good that we signed up for regular service after our one-time trial. They are excellent. The team they send is unfailingly courteous and cheerful, and does an excellent job without being told what to do. And when I have specific ways I want things done, they do it and remember it from week to week. Before every visit I get an e-mail reminder that they are coming, and they tell me when they will arrive -- and that is when they arrive. In six months they have never been late. They work fast and leave the house in excellent shape. I recommend them without caveats.

I was very unhappy with this company. Please let me preface this with the fact that I am not looking or a thorough housecleaning. I was just looking for someone to come in and do some basic cleaning. What I ended up with was more of a mess than when I started. And because this small 900 sq ft apt was is pretty good shape to begin with, this is very surprising. The dishes were left out, there was no sheet put on my bed, the bathroom was not very clean, some trash was not taken out, and more. They left cleaning products everywhere and things out of place. They didn't clean my front room or the basement at all. Nor did they do much cleaning in the living room. Some dishes were not clean while others were so clean the letters on the cups are almost gone. Four dish items were not cleaned at all. They threw stuff on top of my baby grand piano. This is not my first round of house cleaning; 2-3 hours is all the time it has taken previous one single cleaner to thoroughly clean my house from top to bottom in much worse condition than it was even in this time around, including additional things like laundry. They also didn't seem to understand much English, which is one thing but pretending to understand instructions when you do not isn't okay, especially when they are important. If something is not understood that is fine, but of course a solution needs to be found... even if it means my pulling out some rusty Spanish. And then of course, having the office blame me for this communication breakdown takes my dissatisfaction to a whole other level. When someone calls to have their house cleaned, the minimum expectation is that it is, in fact, cleaned.

House cleaners were on time and did a fine job.

They fit us in on fairly short notice (same week) and talked to me ahead of time about the extra $96 per hour if they exceeded the reserved 3 hours. I really appreciate that kind of heads-up. They had a little difficulty with being fully responsive by email (I'd ask the same question in several emails before getting an answer), and they kept calling me even though I asked them to talk to my father (who was onsite) about extra time and specific tasks. However - the important points of house cleaning and keeping to the schedule they did very well. I definitely plan to use them again, and recommend them.

I've used four different cleaning services in the DC area and this one was, by far, the very, very best. I booked my first cleaning very easily via online and email (though not through Angie's List), and even received a text message reminder the day before my cleaning. The two ladies who were sent to my house arrived about 10 minutes early and went straight to work. They did each floor (I have three) together, which seems to have made the quality of the work far more thorough. My only regrets are not having booked them sooner and not having more cash to tip the ladies. I'll definitely be booking another service and will be requesting the same team!

The services was good, the pricing because we purchased a Angie's List special was a little confusing. A team of 3 ladies came in and worked very hard - though they didn't speak much English, they got right to work on a large house. The quality of their work was good, there was just some miscommunications around the price. We kept being told that extra time was $96 per man hour and the reality was it was $96 per team hour. The ladies just kept working and we told them that they needed to finish up and that we were only paying $96 for the 4th hour. In the end it was all fine, but we might have had then stay longer had the extra time change been better communicated. We would use them again.

They were very accommodating of a schedule that was changing due to other work at the house. They were punctual, polite, and made sure the cleaning was done as I requested.

We chose Skilled Maids based on a glowing write-up in an Angie's List monthly booklet, which said this company offered customized in-home estimates for targeted cleaning of specific areas. We submitted a request for an estimate through their website and it took them several weeks to respond. When they finally did, they only offered a standard "top to bottom" initial cleaning estimate based on square footage. The estimate seemed high compared to other maid services we have used. At 5 PM the day before the appointment, they emailed to say they'd be arriving between 3 and 3:30 PM, which seemed too late in the day for an initial deep cleaning. When we contacted them they said not to worry, that they were sending three maids and the cleaning should take less than 2 hours. At 3:30 PM on the day of the appointment, they contacted to say they were running late and asked if they could come the following day. When we said we really needed to have the cleaning done today as we'd rearranged our schedules around it they agreed initially, but called half an hour later to cancel. Rather than apologizing or trying to make things right, the rep insisted that the scheduled late arrival time had been perfectly reasonable and the cancellation was not their fault. After a heated exchange we finally agreed to have them come at 8 AM the following day, which was very inconvenient, on the condition that they would give us $25 off the low end of the estimate ($190). They did arrive at 8 AM the following day to do the cleaning. However, they completely skipped two bedrooms, saying that the work was taking longer than expected so they would have to charge us more if we wanted them done. This was unacceptable since the price they quoted us was based solely on square footage, not the number of labor hours required. In those areas that they did manage to clean the work was substandard -- crumbs were left on the kitchen floor, the stairs and carpets were poorly vaccuumed, etc. They even managed to break some artwork our daughter had made and apparently tried to hide it from us by shoving it behind a dresser. We don't know why this horrible company was given such high ratings, but we definitely will not be working with them again and would strongly recommend that others avoid them like the plague.

Prompt, courteous, and thorough. They came in and cleaned an apartment that was destroyed by previous tenants.

The cleaning itself was excellent. The house sparkled after they left and I would absolutely use them again. The only issue I had was that I had to email them multiple times before they would tell me what date they were coming, and despite all of those emails would not commit to a time until the day before. My husband and I both work and it was really annoying not being able to plan ahead.

We will absolutely use them in the future.They did an incredible job. They arrived a few minutes early, contacted us mid-day to say that it would take more time than expected and to obtain advance authorization for the increased cost (not a surprise given the amount to be done) and they made the place spotless. The rug people they worked with had the rugs looking better than at move-in 3 years earlier. My daughter got her full deposit returned! As a landlord myself, I have used other firms and had nowhere near as good results.Outstanding!

They did okay. Tip was not included in the deal price. I had to pay $50 extra as they asked for a tip. They say nine hours of cleaning, but then, they send in two people or three people or four people or five people. And then, it's only like two hours of cleaning.

I've hired Skilled Maids several times. Twice they did a good job cleaning - not the best I've ever had (I walked around and had them fix areas they missed) but pretty good. Twice they showed up either late or not at all for an 8:00am cleaning. Unfortunately each of those times I waited at home at late as possible until I had to leave for work and checked my email as I was leaving to discover that I emails telling me that (the first time) they were running late or (the second time) the "car broke down". No phone call to inform me. No offer of a discount on a future cleaning for my trouble. Not a great way to keep a customer. I'll use another service that is reliable and shows up in the time window they promise.

I am so impressed with Skilled Maids! For my first-time cleaning, a team of three cleaners came to my condo and cleaned it from top to bottom, even managing to clean dirt I didn't realize I had! They got smudges on walls, fronts of cabinets, corners and hard-to-reach spots on the carpet, moved easily movable furniture to vacuum underneath. They also organized and folded clothes, linens and items on counter tops. I am truly impressed with their work and so grateful to have what feels like a brand new home!

Terrific job. The crew cleaned, dusted, and made the kitchen and bath spotless. They worked very hard and were so thoughtful and careful. Evelyn led the team and they were wonderful.

So I bought the deal on Angie's list for a full house deep cleaning...up to nine hours. They did clean and house was cleaner afterward but I was still a bit disappointed. I was home the entire time so if they needed to ask me something, they could have. But they did not. At the end when we were walking around I noticed that one of the shelves on my bookcase was hanging down. I asked what happened as was told that a plastic container had broken....it was an old container so I did not care...but when I looked for the clips that hold up the shelves, they were gone....very disappointing because now that shelf is unusable unless I can find replacement clips. I felt like this should have pointed out to me....instead it really felt like they were trying to get away with something.
