Great job cleaning our small studio apartment!

They are very easy to work with. They are just great! This is the second time I have purchased a Big Deal for their deep housecleaning service.

Overall, it was a mixed bag. Although the two ladies worked quickly, they were a bit rough on the items they cleaned. I heard some banging as they moved through the house. One of the ladies pulled the light fixture off of the wall in my master bedroom. I guess she was dusting the fixture when it happened. Neither of the ladies told me about it. I found out when I walked around the house mid-way through the cleaning. The cleaning itself was alright, but they did miss some spots in the kitchen (on the counter and the stove). By the time they got downstairs, I was afraid they would damage my mini blinds, so I asked them not to clean those two windows. And one more thing- the ladies threw away anything they found on the floor or other surfaces: window hardware, the top to a perfume bottle, etc. I had to dig through the trash to find them- that was a shame. Lastly, I wrote a note about the light fixture when I signed off on the work, asking for someone to call me about what happened. No one from Skilled Maids ever called.

This Company is top notch! I purchased the 250.00 deal posted through Angie's List for a 9 hour deep cleaning. The cleaning crew was thorough and turned my 1,900 sq ft dusty townhome into a liveable, breathable, sparkling clean abode (yet again)! Doris and her team (Cecelia & Isabella) did an exceptional job and I'm very happy with the results. Would definitely use Skilled Maids again! Thank you!

Neither of the women that they sent over spoke very good English and they could not understand some of the things that I told them. I wanted some things cleaned really well and they did not clean them adequately -- not really well. They were on time.

The two person crew cleaned our 3 level townhouse that was in need of a little TLC. The ladies arrived during the time window that was given to me. We would definitely use them again!

They did a good job. I never had to say anything. I just showed them what I needed done and they did a fantastic job.

POOR. The initial deep clean was for a whopping 9 hours in which you would THINK that they could clean anything from top to bottom. However, they broke blinds, left dust on all tops of everything and failed to clean under an easy reach wash tub in our laundry room. No problem. We felt that our home was very dirty after months of construction. The problem came when we re-hired them on a 2 week plan for $136 every 2 weeks to clean our home 3 additional cleanings right away. They continued to overlook the floor in the laundry room and failed to dust tops of anything EVERY time even though I emailed them and asked them to do it. They not only FAILED to do it, but FAILED to live up to their promise to return and re-clean if there were any issues with the cleaning. The below is my final correspondence with them, which says it all and I have pictures to prove it! The basically REFUSED to return to clean our home properly and was willing to even lose their payment to forget about our service agreement. They never even called to say that they wouldn't show causing us to lose time from work awaiting on them. FAIL. Tue 5/10/2016 2:50 PM Hello Antonio, Hope all is well. The cleaning went okay. The ladies were good and competent in general, but some areas were missed and we found them later. We did not follow the staff around the home - I do not like to have to supervise in that fashion. Our home is already pretty clean, but we were hoping for a more thorough cleaning than we would normally do. I think the dusting was not as thorough as we would have liked - still found some dust lying around. Otherwise, the bathrooms, kitchen, floors, blinds etc. were very well cleaned. Ceiling fans were not cleaned to our satisfaction either. I think for someone with slightly lower expectations they would have achieved an A rating. Perhaps it may have helped if we had done a walkthrough after the cleaning was performed to inspect and go over what was lacking. I did not do this, but encourage others to do so.

The appointment was easy to set up over the phone with their friendly customer service. I made the appointment about 2 weeks prior to when the service was to be performed. The day before my service appointment, I received a confirmation email that had a different start time than the time originally scheduled. This was the first notice I received of the appointment being rescheduled. I called Skilled Maids the next morning (day of service) to confirm the arrival time, which Skilled Maids changed three different times that morning. After several emails and phone calls were exchanged, it was finally resolved for the crew to arrive at the originally scheduled time frame between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. After all of the hassle, they were still 30 minutes late. The crew was nice and seemed to do a good job. They even offered on extra hour for free because of all of the trouble in the morning, which I appreciated.I inspected their work the next day and I'd say they did a pretty good job. The home smelled nice and the surfaces appeared well cleaned. However, one of our blind panels was found broken, a string of blinds was also broken (we will now need to replace the whole treatment for that window), and a door stop had also broken-off.

This was a big deal purchase. On the whole it was very good. They were really sweet and did a nice job. The house was probably overall cleaner than it had ever been since I moved in, anyway. I had two big issues that happened. They made those poor women come back to the house to try to fix it, but there was a language issue. They could not understand me, none of them. There was one that spoke English and not very well. I asked the person who set up the whole thing - they kept calling her the salesperson when I was talking to the office -- would not return my call. Basically, I told them to use a product on the hardwood floor and when they couldn't then I said they could use this one mop that was the kind that you fill up. But I did not expect them to fill it up and like I said there was this language issue. They put it in there and it had water already in it so the combination left the floor really streaky. Also when they came back to fix this problem I kept saying for them to just put it on there and just leave it. You can't get it shiny if you go over it with your mop. They were there for about 15 minutes and I kept showing them what to do. They didn't listen to me. I waited for them to come back and this whole thing was just ridiculous. The biggest problem was I have butcher block countertops and I had said to not touch the countertops because I had already sanded them down and put one coat of wax on them. I came back downstairs because I was kind of hiding out in one of the bedrooms and they had scrubbed it. I had to completely do it over again. I said I told them not to touch it and they said they didn't. I knew they did. I told the lady on the phone that I don't want to pay and I wanted a discount. They said they would have Michelle call me back and I never heard anything from them. It is not fault of the people who did the work, they did not speak English. Other than that they did really nice work. They really, honestly got things cleaned that I had never touched. I can't blame them but if you are going to send somebody to my house I need to be able to communicate with them. I would never use them again. That one thing just caused me too much stress.

The money spent on this house cleaning was worth every penny. I only wish I could have a monthly cleaning! I just sat here after the ladies left and looked around at my gleaming hardwood floors. Heaven!

They did a very good job but I thought they were expensive. The prices need to be more in line with what other services are providing. It took me a while to get coordinated with them.

Quality of cleaning was sufficient. Scheduling process was horrendous. Even if the service had been outstanding, I wouldn't hire them again based on the administrative issues.

They were on time, friendly and professional. Overall a good service.

At first I was a little worried. I was told the maids will be there in the morning. I was never given an exact time. The night before they were to arrive I requested a more specific time. The next morning I was emailed that due to some schedule changes, they would not be here until noon, but since they were sending a three person team, the nine hour deep cleaning would only take three hours. At about 1245, I was called and told that they would not be there till 145. In all fairness I do live quite a distance from the skilled maids location in Silversprings Maryland. They arrived around 2 PM. I was slightly concerned because I had to pick my daughter up from Northern Virginia later that day, and was concerned that there was going to be a time conflict. They ended up needing extra time to finish my home, because it'd been well over a month since it had been professionally cleaned as my last housekeeper moved away without notice. What I will say is that I am extremely impressed by the very hard work that was done. I am very picky but these ladies left no stone unturned. My refrigerator, closets, window sills, stove, oven and everything else were all so fabulous. I will be using these ladies again!!! They are truly professional, and really know what they are doing. I thought they did A fabulous job, and would highly recommend them.

Scheduling with this company was a nightmare. The admin person sent a crew to my house on a day I said that I could NOT do and without confirmation. Once there on the arranged upon date and time the cleaning crew were excellent so I scheduled monthly cleaning with them. The second time the crew was over two hours late without any notification so I had to cancel. Another time she once again sent a crew over on a date that I had cancelled 3 days in advance and had already rescheduled. The cleaning was excellent, but the scheduling was problematic so I stopped using them.

Great did an excellent and thorough job

After decades of insisting only I can clean my home to my satisfaction, Skilled Maids converted me in one visit. The team of two arrived on time and were very friendly. They quickly went through a few questions to establish what I wanted cleaned and what I did not. They worked efficiently and respected my work-at-home situation. They suggested cleaning my home office first so I could have my privacy the rest of the afternoon. The cleaning was thorough and erased any anxiety I've had about having someone else clean my home.

Everything was fantastic! Grateful to find a good maid. We're going continue to have them clean our home for the future. Communication was excellent.

They cleaned. Stop emailing me to review. I should be free to review if I choose to not forced. Especially for a service that I pay money for both for the cleaning and the web site.

FANTASTIC!!! My favorite cleaning lady just retired. I turned to Angie's' List and after reading review after review found "Skilled Maids". They had a special coupon so I jumped on the deal. The company sent an informative email a day after I placed my request for service. I was starting to get concerned that I would not be able to get the service I needed this week, so I called the office. A very calm and professional Michele answered and after hearing my concern assigned a team to clean my home that very afternoon. The team of three ladies arrived promptly. After introductions I gave them a quick tour and made any special notations (I forgot to mention that Michelle took verbatim notes of my needs and concerns and included them in the email she sent earlier). This was the most efficient and pleasant team of workers. Dusting, shining, mopping and vacuuming my stairs as well as I use to be able to do. They completed the job in a little over three hours. Ahhh, a clean house without the sweat on my brow is a beautiful thing!!! I will use them again and refer my friends.

I ordered the service for my mother and she was beyond happy with the service, speed, and the quality of the cleaning!

The cleaning crew arrived right on time and went straight to work. There was 3 maids and they worked diligently to dust, scrub, vacuum, mop, etc the entire townhouse. The place smelled, looked, and felt very clean afterwards. They even cleaned the window sills and blinds which was great. Bathrooms were immaculate. The only issue was after they left we discovered they had scratched the top of our chest of drawers which we spent quite a bit on so that is pretty frustrating. I would hire them again but instruct them to be very careful with the wood furniture.
