We are very pleased with our new walkway and landscaping. Mike drew up a plan and worked with us on getting just what we wanted. The crew completed the work within a few days and did a great job. Mike stopped by each day to make sure things were going well. I would highly recommend them!

I selected another contractor to complete my patio and porch project. This was not budget driven, my contractor's quote was higher but they've provided excellent customer service. Diversified committed to getting me a quote within a week and it took four weeks. My decision was solely based on Diversified's lack of responsiveness.

The work went very well- Don and Doug were responsive to our needs and concerns in working through the project. we had asked for separate estimates for three different jobs and due to budget constraints we went with two of the three, for now. The biggest job was reconstructing the back patio, which was needed because the patio had become so uneven rain water was getting to the house foundation. Once the contract was signed, the work crew came the next day to pull up exiting patio stones- dug out the clay bed adding appropriate layer of crushed stone and stone dust at the appropriate grade, cleaned and re-laid the existing flagstone in a new more attractive pattern- the patio looks 100% better and, importantly, the water is now draining away from the house as it should. They also repaired steps and wall in front of house by re-doing many of the mortar joints that had cracked or worn away. The repaired work looks great as well.

I should start off with saying that this review is way overdue but decided to write it anyways because of their great work! . From the beginning, Don Franz was extremely helpful and maintained constant contact throughout the process. I probably was not the easiest customer because I was not really sure what I wanted to be built. Don provided great ideas and left books for my review. The crew came out and began the project as soon as I got approval from the HOA. Prior to breaking ground, Doug came out and went over everything with me and marked the yard accordingly. In total, the project took a little over a week but I did not need to be home. At the end of each day, I would inspect the progress and notify Doug of any problems. Doug was extremely quick to reply and bent over backwards to accommodate the necessary changes. At one point, Doug nearly doubled the size of the front rock garden wall simply to make it more appealing to the eye. Overall, I could not be more pleased with their communication, professionalism, and work! I apologize for the long delay in writing this review but I definitely wanted to let you know that I appreciate all of your work. I'll be looking forward to working with y'all again on the next project!

Very responsive with a very hardworking crew with an eye for detail. Also very reasonable cost based on competitor quotes. Would highly recommend.

Once thy started the work it was completed within a week. There wasn't any items I had to have them come back to complete.

Just to preface what is in my review below, I am not reviewing on the company as a whole, since I did not have any work completed. this is simply a review of the estimator. We were actually excited to see what this company had to offer since our main goal/idea was to add a patio to our new house. With that being said, here is my review of the estimator: I called the office to set up an appointment for an estimate for fencing and decking at our new house. I spoke to Mike and was told that an estimator would give me a call back to schedule a date and time. I did not have a problem with this and waited for a call back. I received a call the same day and set a date and time for when we were we were going to be out at the new house. I spoke to John and he assured me that he was available on July 26th at 12:00 and said he would see me then. The estimator was a NO SHOW! I waited half an hour with no courtesy call, before I called him and was told , "Oh something came up, can you stay and wait until later?, I am in Montgomery County and can't make it until later in the afternoon." I told him that I couldn't wait, and I had other appointments scheduled. He started saying that he was overbooked and that he forgot and that it was totally his fault. He stated he could meet us one evening during the week, that that would work better. I explained to him that we live in MD and were only at the new new house that day. I also told him it was a poor reflection on his company and that I would be writing this review. His response was, " I don't think it warrants that". I got tired of talking to him and handed the phone off to my husband. He then proceeded to tell my husband that a bad review wasn't necessary and that it could be handled differently. My husband simply told him that I was the one that handled the appointments and to have a nice day. In fairness, this company was the first to call me back and the first to set up an appointment with me. That gave me a good first impression. The ineptness of this estimator, however, will eventually cost them a lot more customers. If you choose to try this company, hopefully you will get a decent estimator. GOOD LUCK!

Mike and the guys at Diversified Contractors continue to be the best and only landscaping company that I will use. They have installed a beautiful patio in our back yard and flower bed retaining walls in our front. Over time, sections of patio pavers settle creating a noticeable drop or section where water will be more likely to sit against the house increasing algae and mold. When these areas get noticed I call Mike and when their crew comes into the area for another job they stop by and patch up the work. The arrival is not instantaneous and typically on their way to another but that is fine because it is minor non-emergent fixes that proves how much they care about customer satisfaction and the quality of their work. For our front retaining wall, my wife actually drove her car into it and broke all the concrete and a good section of the wall. Despite it being our fault, they were still willing to come out and slap some patch back on it to correct it without charging us! For this reason, I will always use them for landscaping needs (which our driveway will need soon...). Overall, just a great and friendly company.

This was the 3rd time I used Diversified. They did an artistic job of installing a flagstone walkway across the front yard. Neighbors have complimented me on the work as well. A late afternoon rainstorm chased the workmen away on the 3rd, but they returned on July 4th to finish the job. I'd use Diversified again. They offer good work at a reasonable price.

We found Diversified from Angie's List. They were one of three companies that we took bids from. We met with each of the companies at least twice. Diversified's estimator, Don Franz, was a pleasure to work with. (Don is often busy, and you may have to be patient for him to get back to you). He never gave us a hard sell for anything we didn't want. One of the other companies we spoke with turned us off with how aggressively they tried to sell on also doing drainage work--work they wouldn't guarantee. Diversified offers a 2-year warranty on materials and labor, twice what the other companies offered. Unlike the others, they were also able to do the other work we needed done. That made them not only the best value, but it also meant we only had to deal with one contractor for all 3 projects. They were also willing to negotiate the terms of the contract, unlike the others, and not just price, but other items important to us, such as daily supervision of the project (which, it turns out, they do anyway, as we believe all good contractors do). Before we signed, we met with Doug Barahona, one of the owners. He clinched the sale for us. We liked and trusted him immediately. We wanted the work done in June. They accommodated us. The work was started on a Monday and completed by the close of the week on Friday, as promised. Each day, Doug stopped by the site, sometimes more than once, to make sure that everything was on track. When we had questions during the work, he was readily available by phone or very promptly returned our calls. The workers came each day and worked hard. They were respectful and obviously knew what they were doing and did it well. There were no surprises on the new walkways, wall or patio. The repair involved more work than anticipated, but we negotiated a fair price for the additional work. The work is beautiful. We now have a new "room" outside.

Diversified Contractors did a great job from the first point of contact. Don, the estimator was very responsive and informative when he came out to provide the estimate. We received 5 estimates from other providers, and he provided the most information and was able to get the work scheduled quickly. The first day of the job, the owner came out to go over all the details with us. Our space was very small, but the patio looks great! The crew worked hard each day and finished the job quickly. Everyone was very easy to work with! Overall a great experience and would recommend them to anyone!

. Very affable business owner Mike Ericson works with customer to develop sensible plan within budgetary constraints. Project executed by experienced crew with meticulous care. Very high quality workmanship. Easy going, can do, attitude. Metal handrail was provided by subcontractor RODRIGUEZ SERVICES LLC , 3302 42 AVE BRENTWOOD. Superior workmanship was also provided by Rodriguez.. THIS IS A HIGH CLASS OUTFIT.

After building an addition on our house, we interviewed three highly-rated hardscape contractors to build a patio. We asked each of them to furnish a basic design based on our desires, the shape and slope of our backyard, and dealing with a known drainage issue. Mike Erickson's design best fulfilled our visual concept. His price was also the most competitive, so we selected him to do the work. Mike guided us through the selection of pavers and details on the construction. His work crew arrived as scheduled and did the work efficiently and skillfully. Shortly after construction was finished, a heavy rain showed that there was a small drainage issue along one corner of the patio. Mike responded quickly and recommended an inexpensive fix, which he implemented. The result is a well-drained, beautiful patio that is exactly what we wanted. We would recommend Diversified to anyone considering a patio project; you will be in good hands with Mike!

I scheduled Diversified Contractors LLC to come and do measurements and provide an estimate for my patio. Someone came out, took measurements, we discussed ideas and he left 2 books. It's been 6 weeks and I have not received my estimate. I mentioned that I wanted the work completed before July. I have called and left several messages and have not received any return phone calls or emails.

I was going to wait a year until I wrote my review, but it's almost been two! I wanted to wait and see if the patio work held up to the seasons, especially any heavy rain. In the past two years, we've definitely experienced all sorts of crazy weather from flooding, cold nights, lots of snow, etc. I can safely say that the patio has held up beautifully! We haven't had any drainage problems whatsoever (and no puddles forming on the patio). No drainage problems, no grass coming out of the grout, so far so good. I also had them install a fence and gate, which was very well put together and is also holding up (fence and gate is still as sturdy as it was when it was installed). They also installed some stairs from the back door down to the patio. I did have one problem with the installation of the stairs, but they came right out and fixed the problem immediately. Overall, my wife and I are very pleased with the work done. Working with them on design and materials was easy and they got back to me with quotes/estimates and any questions I had. The work took around four days. My wife was home with a newborn while they worked and she never had any problems.

They did a good job. The patio looks really nice. The price was reasonable for what they did. They were responsive. There were some delays, but that was because of the weather. They worked outside so they were stuck. But beyond that, they came when they said they were going to come. The people who did it were really good and professional. Everything got cleaned up. I live in a condo/townhouse, so it's important that everything gets cleaned up each night, and they did that.

My wife and I could not be happier with the new walkway leading to our front door. It has dramatically improved the appearance of the front of our house. Our front stoop as well looks almost brand new as the crew installed thicker slate steps, less likely to erode over time, and fixed the awkward distance between the final step and floor of the house. We were taken step by step though the process of selecting a walkway surface and pattern. Our instructions as to how we wanted the walkway to lead to our front doorway were followed perfectly. Don and Mike were outstanding in overseeing the work and making themselves available to answer any of our questions once the job was started. Their very professional crew completed the work in two day. They also made sure our yard was properly grated and every bit of debris was removed once the job had been completed. We've already received quite a few compliments on the walkway from our neighbors!

While the initial work went smooth, Diversified and specifically Doug Barahona failed to properly measure the pad and foundation. The results was that instead of a 24'x12' rectangle I had trapezoid shaped foundation. Because I had schedule construction with my family and friends only a few weeks later, I only discovered the error when it was too late. This is the most basic and simple issue - a square or rectagle foundation for a rectaungualr shed. The result was that much of the labor in buidling the shed had to be expended customizing everythting to the odlly shaped foundation. Additionally time and materials were needed. Diviersified did come and look at the ofundation and agreed to and paid a refund of $750 or just about ten percent of the original price. Despite having been highly rated on AL I can not but give the lowest possible rating. Some things have to be done right the first time and pour a foundation is one of them. While the refund placated my pocketbook, it in no way makes up for the enormity of the error.

The work went very smoothly. The crew came out during a break in the winter weather and worked extremely hard and efficiently for 4 days. They dug way down to not only remove the existing driveway but also install the gravel base for a permeable paver driveway. They then put the pavers in place. They left the work area in very neat condition. The county then came out and inspected the driveway and said the work was well done and the driveway qualified for the rebate they are currently offering under their Rainscapes program to encourage this kind of replacement. Neighbors have also mentioned how nice the driveway looks. The person whom I dealt with, Mike, was a wonderfui person to work with, even though he was sometimes hard to reach on the phone. I learned from this winter's snowy weather that snow melts much faster on this kind of a driveway than it did on the old concrete one.

They were excellent. It took less than a week to do. We have no complaints at all. It turned out exactly as we'd hoped. They listened to everything we wanted - the designer interpreted what I'd described perfectly. The workers cleaned up well after themselves also.

I was quite pleased with this company. Don, who initially came to the house to assess what needed to be done, was a pleasure to deal with--courteous, knowledgeable and informative. I explained that I was in a hurry to have the work done. He immediately emailed me an estimate for the repair, then followed up with a phone call. The work was scheduled within the week. On the appointed day, Doug, one of the owners of the company, arrived promptly to give direction to the workmen. The workers were efficient and professional. Doug showed up again when the work was almost finished. He walked me through what had been done, and made sure that everything was completed to my satisfaction. Overall, a stress-free experience. I plan to hire them again in the spring to do additional work on the exterior of my house.

We were very satisfied with the work that was done. The owner, Doug came out and met with us several times in person to make sure the work was being done to our specifications. Once the work was completed, everything looked great. The only issue was a lot the flagstone had some white chalky material that would not simply wash off, even after the power washing. Doug came out with one of his employees and they made sure the white residue was completely cleaned up and that we were satisfied. We would recommend this company.
