His crew was conscientious and very considerate of our residents, making sure they could access the building. They had a few modifications as we went along, but Doug was a true professional never missing a beat. |The finished product is beautiful, more than we had anticipated. I would highly recommend them and will use them again (if I can only find more areas to pave!).

It looks fantastic; all work performed on the schedule they gave us and cleanned up all materials each day. Great crew and even completed the job on Saturday because rain was in the forecast. Looks great. Will call them again.

Description of Work: We wanted a patio and Diversified was 1 of 3 estimates we received. They were punctual, super informative about our options and price competitive. We originally did not want pavers and were going to do stamped concrete or slate. However, Don educated us on all the different options pavers has now and showed us that pavers is quite pleasing since they have more design options. The patio looks fabulous and the work was done ahead of schedule.

Description of Work: These guys did an excellent job for us. I consider myself an unusually picky and demanding customer, and Diversified Contractors managed to meet all of my expectations, even exceeding them in some places. They delivered a good-looking product at an excellent price, and from what I can observe, I expect it to last for many years to come. Our project was a bit unusual. The work consisted of removing about 200 sq ft of existing pavers and wood decking, excavating the area and laying new pavers, then adding a stuccoed cinder block retaining wall and wood railing. The paver joints were filled with polymeric sand, which I understand is standard practice for this company, but a bit unusual among their peers. So far, I like the polymeric sand because it doesn't blow onto the patio surface like regular sand might. Don (the estimator) came out and gave me an estimate that was significantly below another estimate I received, as the other company had planned to use heavy equipment that was not necessary for my project. I strongly considered doing the project myself, but ultimately Don gave us such a good price that I was not sure I could complete the project for much less myself, and it would have assuredly been less durable and attractive. In the weeks after the initial estimate, I went back and forth with Don several times, asking him many questions and tweaking my request repeatedly. He was exceedingly patient, eager to get our business, and willing to accommodate us even when our needs went beyond the company's usual services. Don's exceptional work ethic and dedication were crucial for getting us on board. Diversified Contractors completed the work in 3-4 workdays, causing minimal disruption to our lives. The patio surface is perfectly flat, the railing is very sturdy, and everything is built to the exact specifications I provided. I am very satisfied, especially considering the attractive price Don was able to give us in the off season (our project started in February). The price did not increase by one dime after the work started, nor did they make additional recommendations, which I greatly appreciated. The only minor complaint I have is that at a few points, Don was willing to accommodate my requests even when I later concluded that my original preferences would have been unwise. He was very courteous and deferential to his customer, which I completely understood and appreciated, but at a couple of points, I would have actually preferred that he tell me what I was asking for was ill-advised. As an example, I originally asked for the retaining wall to be built out of wood timbers, but another contractor eventually told me these were likely to rot after several years. In the end, however, I don't feel like we made any major mistakes- as I said, this is a very picky comment from a very picky customer. I would definitely do business with this company again, and my wife and I are enthusiastically recommending it to our friends. If you want a solid product at a great price, call Don. You won't regret it.

Description of Work: I have called Diversified Contractors LLC many times and they have not responded.One time I talked to the owner and he said someone would call the next day to give me an estimate.I have not heard from them and it has been two weeeks.

Description of Work: I met with three contractors and decided on Diversified Contractors because of their competitive bid as well as their suggestions during the initial consultation. Don Franz informed me at his first visit about their availability and everything went according to schedule. After they were almost done we realized that we needed another corner of a flower bed and Doug was able to incorporate that the following week. Definitely an outstanding job!

Description of Work: Tried to get in contact with them since they were so highly praised on Angie's List - couldn't get a call back after 2 messages left, and everytime no one is there. I guess they have enough business now that they don't need new customers.

Description of Work: Diversified Contractors designed and created a slate walkway from the curb to the front door of our house and covered our existing steps and front entry platform with slate. This involved digging up the existing two-level broken concrete sidewalk, widening one section and then laying a new concrete bed and finishing it with the surface level slate. They also tore down and replaced a 20 foot long wooden fence and custom built a new gate. Because of their excellent work, we will have them back in the spring to refinish our deck and do the new fence once it is cured, and hopefully replace the rest of the wood fencing around our backyard (approx. 80 feet, 7 feet tall). They were very orderly and hauled away the debris each day while carefully tidying up both work sites.

Description of Work: They installed a backyard patio with brick pavers (stairs, chapel wall, and circle design).

Description of Work: Diversified Contractors removed the existing frontwalk and front stoop; excavated and installed a new base of concrete with a new Pennsylvania Flagstone veneer; and hauled away the subsequent debris. Salvagable stones from the old walk were left by our request in a designated area for future use. Most of all, Mike Erickson came to the house for a free estimate, saw the sinking, broken walk and presented a creative way to enhance the walk. We had requested an enlarged front stoop that stepped down to a walk that tapered down to the regular 3 ft wide walk. Mike added the idea to have the walk slope away from the house so that water would not back up towards the house; agreed to adding a conduit under the walk for tv cable access; and encouraged us to keep the valuable stones that formed the original walk.

Description of Work: New Sod Installation: Removal of all Vinka ground cover and shrubs in planting area along road and installation of new sod throughout area. Price includes removal of shrubs on other side of front steps. Total area to be sodded is approx. 510 sq. ft.

Description of Work: Provision and installation of Virginia Ledgestone fireplace surround. They installed natural stone veneer on top of existing brick fireplace facade.
