Scheduled an appointment to come look at replacing our AC unit. Was given a time range between 8:30am to 9:00am for technician to come. At 9:30am called to inquire about how much longer until someone arrived. Owner said “I remember telling you between 9:00am and 12:00pm for your appointment.” We kindly corrected him and told him we were given a time frame of 8:30am to 9:00am. The owner rudely told us to never call their number again. Trust me we will not and will definitely tell others to stay away.

Referred to me, they installed a central HVAC humidifier in Sept. 2018. They were the most expensive of the quotes I got and lowered their price a little to get the job, but were still higher than the others. Their price was definitely not warranted. The installer (owner's son) was sloppy, drilled an extra pretty large unnecessary hole for wiring in my coat closet due to lack of measuring, didn't fill it well using caulk - all he had, and got dust and caulk on my coats that he had told me I didn't need to remove from the closet, and which he didn't bother to cover. It ended up costing me an extra $500 in higher electric bills due to a leak in the freon line he re-routed. It leaked for three months before another company discovered the leak when they noticed the constant cycling of the heat pump and significant loss of freon. When the original installer came back to repair the leak, he said they didn't have a leak detector like the other company used to detect the leak. He also reprogrammed my thermostat incorrectly and didn't seem to understand some basic concepts. The owner seemed professional during the estimate process, but was defensive when I questioned him about several issues during and after install, including why he wasn't present for the install as he'd led me to believe he would be. He also refused to split the difference as I requested, or to offer to help me at all with the 100% higher heating bills for the impacted three months, even though he took responsibility for the leak. There are definitely better and more professional companies on the Eastern Shore.

The team at Accent Heating & Air (Tim Green & his son Ethan) are immensely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and courteous. They explain every step of the process and explain in detail the cost for each segment of the project to ensure ones understand of what is to occur. They come prepared............ They completed the installation as stated and on schedule. They are very open to arranging the service / installation to fit your schedule. If there was a 10 rating that is what I would give. In the words of the younger generation, they rock... I do not hesitate to recommend them for any job large or small... Tim Green and his son Ethan are welcome in our home anytime...

Tim explained the problem thoroughly and provided me with an estimate of the part and labor. They were neat during the time they were in my home. I found the cost of the job reasonable since it also included the installation of a new thermostat. Tim and Ethan were very personable. Overall, excellent service! I would highly recommend them.

They called to let me know they would be a bit late because they had an emergency call, and then called to let me know when they were on the way and what time they should be there! They were courteous, considerate and careful to wear shoe covers, willing to go back in the attic after finishing their maintenance check, and recheck the line to a room that seems colder than the rest. Didn't suggest future upgrades or try to get me to pay for "extras." Only reason I didn't give them an A on everything is because they didn't automatically vacuum the components inside like our previous HVAC person did before he moved away, and I still need to go out and buy new filters for the initial visit; however, they did record the filter sizes and said they would bring them if I have them back for spring service. We have two systems to heat and cool our home, so the price is for maintenance of both before they took my Angie's list coupon (but no filters.)

Tim went out of his way to resolve the problem immediately, even traveling some distance to obtain the needed part to restore our system. But then he went above and beyond the service to tweak the balancing in our upstairs, at no additional cost, with the result of leaving us in a better position than we were before the blower broke. The team is professional, respectful and clean. All that, and a good value.

Accent Heating and Air (Tim Greene, Owner) has provided consistently outstanding service. Tim is especially knowledgeable about the newer electronically controlled systems. Our new installation was top quality (Carrier Infinity) and has proven to be a very efficient and reliable system. Tim is also very qualified in ductwork design and installation. He designed and installed new zoned ductwork which solved a long standing issue since the original home construction (Accent was not the original contractor) of uneven heat, especially in the master bedroom. The new ductwork was of the highest quality (fully insulated metal, not fiberboard) and the zoning incorporating electric dampers has worked beautifully. Pricing was very fair and Accent has always stayed within the original estimates. I highly recommend Accent Heating and Air.
