Ye Olde Chimney Sweep

They did a great job and never leaves a spec of dirt behind.

Had used the fireplace only once prior to Dana's arrival and believed there was a chimney fire during that use. Dana arrived within the 3 hour scheduled window and he completed all work before the 3 hour window had completed. He was very cautious about what he brought into the house laying down material on the floor near the fireplace to prevent any material/debris from getting into the house. He inspected the fireplace and the chimney internally confirming there had been a chimney fire previously. He cleaned the entire chimney using a wire brush and snake and vacuumed the fireplace completely. At the end it was spotless and ready for use. Dana then proceeded onto the steep pitched roof to inspect the outside of the chimney and flashing. He identified that some flashing around the chimney needed to be caulked and he recaulked all areas. Dana is the business. Great local business and a very nice friendly individual. Would use again and recommend to anyone.

I called and left a message requesting an estimate for services ( cleaning of chimney because of birds inside chimney over the summer & capping so they would not return) and to see when work could be completed. The owner returned my call that evening and we spoke about what we wanted. Dana (the owner) gave us a price for the sweep as well as Stainless Steel chimney cap that he recommended for install. We were able to schedule the work within 2 weeks. We were given an hour window for appointment. I called to confirm the day before leaving a message knowing Dana would return my call in the evening. He called and confirmed for the next morning. He arrived right on schedule. He covered the area around the fireplace and went to work. On inspection he said that our chimney (gas fireplace) was "clean as a whistle" and removed the nest. He then installed the cap, which has a lifetime guarantee (in writing on receipt). Dana only charged us for the install of the chimney cap! This is an honest man running an honest business. We will definitely use him in the future and recommend to friends. We are happy that we supported a local small business.
