Ron Air has wonderful people, who show up on time, are friendly, professional and don’t leave a mess. I have used them for 15 years now and have never been disappointed.

It went well, as usual. Joe made sure I knew how to use the programmable thermostat before he left. Everything done quietly and efficiently - no muss, no fuss.

Needed some basic work done (less than an hour) so I called them up to make an appointment. The person that answered informed me that they were not currently taking on any new clients. They were professional and apologetic, and seemed to genuinely feel bad about it, but there was no way to schedule anything even if it was a few weeks out. Disappointing, but I understand.

They were fabulous, as before, when we used them to make repairs before selling our former house. They are very knowledgeable, available and able to make the repairs at a fair price. They don't try to up-sell you or exaggerate the severity in order to gouge the customer. Quite the contrary - they are honest and helpful. Steve went above and beyond in researching the source of our a/c problem and fixed it in a reasonable time frame. Along the way he discovered an ancillary problem: that the only return in one bedroom had been drywalled over so the room wasn't getting heated and cooled properly! Great observation and it will be fairly easy to fix. I guess our home inspector didn't pick up on this before we bought the house. No wonder our real estate agent recommended Ron Air - we will, too.

First, I needed a service call because my heat pump seemed to be running nonstop, and was not putting out warm air. I called Ron Air, which I had used once before. The technician arrived promptly the next day, as promised. He tested the air handler and outside unit, and quickly diagnosed the problem (broken compressor) and discussed my options. He let me know that I would receive an email spelling out my options later that day. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I received the company's emailed proposal within a few hours. The following day, I called Bill to understand the different options. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He patiently explained the advantages and costs, but definitely did not try and sell me on anything. We were able to schedule the installation on the next working day (Monday). The technicians showed up early Monday, as promised. I only spoke with the lead technician who was also friendly. They spent most of the day removing my existing heat pump and air handler and installing new ones. Their work was professional in appearance. They left the area clean. When they were done the lead technician went over the system, and showed me the filter, and how to clean the drain. I was totally satisfied with the installation, and all of my dealings with Ron Air employees.

The upstairs unit was not functioning and outside temps were below freezing. Ron Air responded immediately to my call and had an estimate to replace the unit that same day. Prices were competitive, but the quick and professional service they provided were excellent. The crew was courteous, patient, knowledgeable and and clean. After they finished each day, I didn't even know they had been there. My floors and carpets were protected and everything was cleaned up when they left for the day.

My house is 17yrs old and it was time to replace our heating system. Ron Air put in our original system when our house was built in 1998. I spent a lot of time interviewing different heating companies, from Geo-thermal to conventional heat pumps. Ron Air came out on top. They are professional, courteous, and do excellent work. I highly recommend them! My new Trane variable-speed heat pump is so quiet!

I have been a homeowner for nearly 10 years, and I have been using Ron Air for periodic servicing of both my AC and furnace. I have always had positive experiences with them in terms of service/repair - their repair technicians Mark and Steve are extremely friendly, punctual, and competent. When my AC finally "died", I did some research, went to the Air Conditioners Contractors Association (ACCA) website, and obtained estimates from three local ACCA contractors, all of whom had fantastic reviews on Angie's List. Initially, Ron Air came in the highest of the three on price, but to Bill and RonAir's credit, they worked with me on the estimate (and were willing to work off of another contractor's estimate, comparing apples to apples equipment). While they were unable to completely match the lowest bid on price (hence the "B" grade), they were the most "available" in terms of earliest date of installation (which admittedly could be viewed by some as a red flag), and this was important to me. Ultimately, my decision to use them came down to familiarity with their company based on good repair service as well as the time factor - I was willing to pay a little more for these things. The installation went extremely smoothly - his installers came at 9 AM and left around 4 PM - Joe took the time to go over the furnace maintenance features with me, as well as the warranties and explain the thermostat. He and DJ were very professional to me and my family. I would absolutely recommend RonAir to other homeowners for both repair and installation service - certainly time will tell if their installation is a "quality" one (everything you read says that this is the most important thing - but truthfully, it is basically impossible for the customer to know whether this is actually being done - ACCA website comments notwithstanding) - but I am comfortable knowing that I've used a local company with a well-regarded reputation based on decades of customer service with low employee turnover. I am grateful to Bill, Pat, Joe, DJ, Steve and Mark for their help now and over the years.

Excellent! I have used Ron Air since 1984 when we built our home. When I think of customer service I think of Ron Air. This entire process of removing the old and install ing thenew was terrific. They were prompt, courteous, professional. They ensured that there was no debris or damage to my home. They covered the carpets and wore booties. They also spent time with us showing us the new system and how to use it and also showed us how to program our thermostat.

The cost was high but it is the core of the house and I wanted to never have to worry about it again. Previous heat pump - GE - lasted 32 years. Installation was smooth....this is the most important part of the process....installer had over 20 years experience....two of them came and finished in 5 hours. Most failures of newly installed heat pumps and air handlers result from poor installation. I purchased a warranty from Trane for 10 years on the parts and coils and 12 years on the compressor. Ron Air give me 2 years on labor. The only issue I had was waiting 2 weeks for the installation during June. They offer a payment plan of which I was not made aware. Solid company that I have used for over 30 years since coming to Columbia, Md.

We were ready to replace our old heat pump. We called and spoke to a female who was very pleasant. She found an opening in their schedule for the next morning . Two service men showed up on time and diagnosed the heat pump issue, they informed my wife that a new heat pump at this stage would not be cost effective so they performed the needed repairs and everything has been running great since then. I really appreciate the professionals at RonAir being upfront about the repair, and when it comes time to replace that heat pump, you can bet we will call RonAir.

These guys are great! They gave me a fair bid ($4,000 cheaper than the first bid from another company for the same equipment.) They did the work quickly, despite the freezing cold and snow. They were on time and generally wonderful. I would strongly recommend Ron Air!

The Ron Air tech came out within 2 hours and found the problem immediately. Evaporation line was clogged with stink bugs. The Ron Air tech had seen this a few weeks before on another unit. Once cleaned out the Ron Air tech provided a fix that I can simple now do on my unit if this happens again. Way to go Ron Air!!

They always answered calls, called back, showed up and finished on time. They were neat, did the job in a day, quick to start,let us know about rebates. Their price was under the review prices we found online. They were helpful to us as we decided which system to choose. They were even nice! We couldn't ask for anything more.

The staff at Ron Air are complete professionals. We have used them a number of times. We needed to replace an air conditioner unit and got quotes from three different companies. Ron Air actually came in a little bit lower than the next lowest bid. They also gave a list of upgrade options at all different price levels. We were very happy with this since even if they were a little higher, we would have chosen them because we know we can trust their work. The service men came in and worked the entire day stripping out the old system from the attic and installing the new one. It was a rainy/snowy day (yes, we replaced the AC in the winter) and they put down drop cloths from the door to the attic access to protect the rugs. They were extremely polite and friendly. After the installation, they went over the warranty/instructions for the system, making sure I knew what I needed to do to complete the warranty process. All in all, great service, competitive price, trustworthy staff = A rating

Fantastic experience!! This is something we haven't done in a long time so we are not familiar with all of the processes and work required. We started with a call for an estimate and Ron Air showed on time to do the inspection. The estimator was very professional and answered all of our questions and promised a detailed estimate. He did not do a "hard sell" to get us to buy. In fact, he told us that we could wait to replace the system as it was just old but still functional. When we received the estimate a few days later, we had additional questions. We called the office and the manager took a lot of time to answer all of our questions in a manner which was understandable. When an answer was more technical in nature, he took the time to explain it in layman's terms. At that time we decided to go ahead and have the system replaced. The work was scheduled. When the techs arrived for the replacement, they were on time and very professional. It was a 7 hour process to do the work. During the process, we went down to the basement to check on the process. Every time we went down there, they stopped to answer any questions we had and to show us the progress. When the installation was completed, the tech took the time to show us the installation and the operation of the newly installed thermostat. The worksite was completely cleaned and buttoned up. They also took the time to run through the registration process with Trane. They also took the information necessary to submit the rebate paperwork with the local utility company. The system is up and running and the techs are gone. It is always tough to write a big check for this kind of work, but I have to say that because of the excellent experience, we are not experiencing any kind of buyers remorse. It feels like money well spent.

Ron Air came out as scheduled, on time, to look at the above work that needed to be done. Within a day, I received an estimate via email. I called them with a question or two. Everyone was very responsive on the phone and easy to contact. The price was right and they did the job a week later. They were very clean--wore booties over their shoes, and put down drop clothes wherever they worked. The men were pleasant and took much time with me to make sure I understood how to work the new system and thermostat. It all went flawlessly.Would definitely use them again.

Absolutely fantastic. They showed up on time and quietly went about their business. Joe and DJ were very personable and explained everything I needed to know about the system. They had to move things to do the job and replaced everything where they found it. The whole process was smooth and unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend Ron Air to anyone who is in need of HVAC service.

I spent several hours discussing equipment options with them. They provided several quotes for equipment of varying efficiencies. They were easy to talk to and worked with me to find the solution that was best for me. The first day of field work, they took measurements and surveyed our house for installation issues. That only took a few minutes. Installation day began at 0830 with a team of two. They were professional and courteous. They worked continuously throughout the day and didn't even take a lunch break. Several times during the day, other trucks came by, dropping off needed supplies for the job. By 4:00pm, we had four trucks with five total people working on our installation. They were determined to finish the job. The whole crew stayed until 6:45pm. Everything checked out great and they left the house spotless. I was very impressed with Ron Air throughout the process. I highly recommend them!

Began with Ron Air looking at my existing system and giving me options for newer more efficient replacements. I compared to other vendors and decided to stick with Trane because of my good experience. After deciding on a replacement and signing up for 0% APR financing. I selected on a date for the work to be done. The installers arrived on time and set up tarps to cover floors and stairs before starting work. The work took a full day to remove the old equipment and install the new outdoor unit and indoor units. The installers tested the unit and explained the new features. Everything worked flawlessly. The new Trane is extremey quit. In short, everything was perfect.

Ron Air was very professional and efficient. Each heat pump/air handler required a full day for the crew of three to install. We are enjoying the new, quiet systems and expect to see considerable savings on our future BG&E bills.

We've used Ron Air for over 20 years and they are always very responsive. For this particular job, Bill provided different options and prices. After selecting the option that was best for us, they showed up on time and worked most of the day installing the coil and new heat pump. They even dug up some flowers that were too close to the heat pump and moved them. They also installed a new programable thermostat. When finished, they tested everything and it has worked perfectly. They are the best.

I had a few estimates for a new heat pump/air handler. This one that I chose was not the cheapest, but was the best value over all. In addition to the replacements, they also made my intake larger, replaced wiring, etc. They were very helpful, efficient, punctual, friendly, accommodating, all around great job. My sister and my father had both used them in the past and were also very pleased. I was not able to get anyone to stay while I went to work, so I left them alone in my home while I went to work. I returned early and everything was going very smoothly. They were very respective of my home, very thorough with using tarps, shoe covers, etc. to keep things clean. I would very highly recommend Ron Air.
