+ -1 moreWe were told what to expect as far as use of the driveway on each day that the project would require. We were given suggestions for alternate access routes and what might be entailed with some of those routes to make them usable. From the first call to arrange a site visit in order to make a bid until checking the water runoff during Sandy a few days after completion, everything was handled in a positive and professional manner.
Description of Work: Repairs as needed to approximately 20 year old nearly 1/2 mile shared driveway were completed, 2 unpaved sections were prepped, and the entire area was paved. The grass along the driveway was edged back, the private drives from the community driveway were transitioned smoothly. A contractor to do an underlying project was recommended and did the job properly and in time. The transition from the shared driveway to the just paved public road was coordinated with the road pavers and accomplished smoothly. There was no nickle and diming over odds and ends, the contractor was generous, actually. He was courteous and patient with the many questions and concerns the various residents had. Everyone was pleased with the result.

Description of Work: Patched Driveway, made about 12 inches wider, and resealed Ours was a small job, just worked us in between big jobs and a rainy season.

When I first met with him for the estimate, he explained what was going on with my driveway (it had substantial cracking and pieces were breaking off at the edges). He then talked through the options and his recommendation (replacing the top layer) - and described what made his implementation of it better than other choices. Also, his bid was lower than the other one I received. He then accommodated several additional things I asked for. First, I called back and asked if, in addition to replacing what was already there, if he could also widen the driveway slightly. He agreed to do so for a very reasonable price. Then, when he realized the weather wouldn't be cooperative on the date we had scheduled, he offered to complete the project two days early so I wouldn't have to wait. Lastly, in the midst of the project, he discovered that the area to be widened would have paved over a sprinkler line in the lawn (something I didn't realize). He and his crew moved the line over to accommodate the new driveway - also at a very reasonable cost. From beginning to end - professional, responsive, and terrific work. My neighbors keep telling me their jealous of how it looks!

+ -1 moreThey did the job very quickly (1 day work), they forgot to do one thing and so they knocked off $150 off the bill. (An oil sealer to cover up any oil spills.) The driveway has been great since April.
