We were getting ready to put our house on the market and looked around and realized there was no way on Gods green earth we were going to be able to finish all of our 1/2 done projects. We contacted Chestnut Remodeling after they were recommended by friend (who's deck turned out wonderfully). Scheduling was quick and easy, and unlike a few other places I called, they could start the job in the time frame we had to work with. Joe showed up on time, material in hand every day. He was polite, tolerated my 2 yr old trying to steal his measuring tape every time he ran downstairs, and most importantly did a great job. It was all the little things that added up to a great experience. Like him packing his lunch so he wouldn't have to leave for an hour in the middle of the day for a and quot;lunch breakand quot;. Here is an idea of the punch list I gave him: Installing trim and quarter round in hallway Installing trim and quarter round in nursery Installing trim around doorway into living room Caulk just about every piece of trim in the whole house Repairing all d****/holes in drywall upstairs (quiet a few) Finishing hanging drywall in laundry room, mud, and sanded as well Installed 2 pre hung doors in the basement That isn't even all. The list was a full sheet of paper. Needless to say we were bad at finishing projects :) We had a great experience start to finish.
Description of Work: Finished our very large "honey do" list.

Joe, the owner of Chestnut Pines Contracting, isn't just a contractor, he's a craftsman. I trusted him to do a great job, and he delivered. The project had a few snags, that resulted in some additional costs over the project estimate. He communicated the additional costs clearly, and was extremely fair. The final product was awesome. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our new porch. All we need now is some new furniture!
Description of Work: Chestnut Pines Contracting provided a detailed estimate and plan for installing a porch roof on my existing porch. The plan included building a new roof, installing new porch rail and posts, and patching stone steps.
