 + -1 moreWhile the whole process took a long time, it went VERY well. Greg is a consummate artist. At the start he invited us to his workshop, and showed us around. He also showed us the interior of his home which he had built most of over the years. That is where we fell in love with the Cherry. Greg took the time to answer all of my wife's many questions. He sketched out a proposed look for the pieces. And once we came to an agreement, he got to work. When he had the initial boxes built, he invited us back to his workshop to show us how they were looking. He also provided us with a stained piece of wood so that we could find the appropriate flooring that we were going to have installed in the office prior to the delivery of the furniture. There were some delays due to a number of issues, but Greg was always up front with us and kept us in the loop. When the 2 cabinets were finally delivered, our contractor's team installed them and they looked fantastic.! The desk was the last piece to be delivered, and I am extremely happy with it! I highly recommend Greg Wheat for your cabinet making needs! He does a pretty spiffy desk too!
Description of Work: Greg was suggested to us by our contractor who was performing some work on our house. Greg came in and met with my wife and I to make the initial design decisions. We contracted for 3 pieces. 1. A LARGE partners desk. This desk is large enough for both my wife and I to sit at facing each other, each with multiple laptops and writing tools. Each side has a pencil drawer and 4 drawers for files (8 1/2 x 11 paper files). 2. A Cabinet/Entertainment Center. This piece has 2 large storage cabinets, each with 2 doors. It has multiple cubbies and a large opening for a nice size HDTV. 3 A larger Bookshelf/Cabinet. It is divided into 3 elements. Each element has a large cabinet with 2 doors on the bottom, a nice work surface and then Bookshelves. All shelving is adjustable. All cabinets were made of Cherry and are what I would call a light to medium stain.. Greg also made matching cherry molding for the entire room!

Description of Work: I called Mr. Wheet to redo work that a prior individual had done very poorly. He did an outstanding job mounting a wall microwave oven and building a cabinet around it to fit within a space where an old cabinet was removed. Additionally, sheet metal was necessary for the vent and he obtained the services of a sheet metal contractor to make the fit. It was a tricky job in our old house and the did it perfectly. Mr Wheet also installed kick paneling at the bottom of our existing cabinets after a new kitchen floor was installed.
