 + -1 moreMy surveillance cameras recorded the service they provided. It was a long one minute operation. Yes ONE minute! No service around the house on the outside lawn was recorded. I submitted my video to the company, and asked for the bill to be waived. Rob agreed in "good faith". I just received a note from a collecting agency. Nice job Hillside!

Description of Work: I had consultation back in July from a very knowledgeable rep about doing a lawn service program for my nearly 1 acre of lawn. Mostly I was struggling to get ahead of crab grass. Their pricing was pretty reasonable... Just about $20 more than what it usually cost me in chemicals to do a treatment myself, so for just that extra $20 per treatment I wouldn't have to handle chemicals or drag hoses or spreaders all over my lawn so I signed up for a one year plan. However, I was disappointed when they told me that crab grass wouldn't be treated until next spring because it was dormant now. They came out and did feed the lawn. However, the crab grass had a great resurgence growing period as the weather turned cooler around Labor Day. Yet their weed treatment wasn't scheduled until spring. So I did a treatment myself and was very pleased with the results. Even had time to reseed the dead crab grass spots since the weather is cooperating. So, I really didn't need Hillside at all. I'm a little disappointed that they did not know that crab grass has a fall growth period and that they didn't treat it. I kind of feel like now I'm just wasting a year contract on lawn feeding that wasn't that important to me.

The rain delayed the first treatment but at the first sign of clearing, it was completed. Overall, this has been a great experience and the employees of Hillside are very helpful. I would highly recommend their services.

 + -1 moreKieth from Hillside came out and treated my property. He was not told my property lines and made his best guess. I e-mailed Dave Ewell that all my property was not treated, since Dave charged me for the first treatment. I played e-mail tag with Dave. Hillside was notiofied that my property was larger then he first thought. Keith shared that he played phone tag with Dave and received one e-mail.I decided to take things into my own hands and I called Hillside on 9/13 and talked with Keith. He came out the next day and walked my property line with me. Keith treated the remaining areas as well as the back left of my yard where 3 properties meet. I was very pleased with his response and extra area he treated. I have decided to work directly with Keith and Hillside and leave the middle-man out.
Description of Work: I needed lawn service to kill the weeds on our property. I contacted "An Outdoor Adventure" and Dave Ewell said he worked with Hillside Lawn Service, because his company did not provide this service.

 + -1 moreOne of my neighbors saw the work that they had done on my yard, and they too started using them. Actually, I don't see them most of the time when they come, but I believe they will set things up initially. They are very professional. They come and do the job and leave a bill in the box. On one occasion, they had told that they would come at a certain time, but they didn't come. Then, we had to call them back and also had to wait a week to a week and a half. I would use this company again in the future.
Description of Work: I use Hillside Lawn Service about four times a year to take care of my lawn. Last time, they aerated the soil and seeded the lawn.

 + -1 moreI was pleased with the service. My phone calls were returned promptly, and the work was scheduled soon thereafter. The young men who came out were pleasant, informative and did a great job. The removal of the bamboo was hard work, but they managed to get it done. I will definitely contact Hillside again when I need yard work done.
Description of Work: I had a large bush pruned, weeds in my flower beds, and lots of invading bamboo from my neighbors yard removed.
