Description of Work: We had ground loop install a geo thermal system including drilling wells and the interior units. Sure, it's an expensive consideration, but we had a very costly hot water radiant heat system which was doomed to fail at some point (not steam radiators but coils of metal tubing running through our walls and ceilings). As the old system had to boil water, run it through the whole house, heat the plaster of the walls/ceilings which then heated the rooms, our monthly BGE bills were outrageous in the winter. Whenever drilling we had to take care not to nick any of these tubes as a leak would be very difficult to repair. Furthermore, when a loop did fail (for whatever reason) it had to be disconnected form the system and resulted in water damage to our walls/ceilings. Since we are in our house for the long hail, it made sense to stop using this hot water radiant system, and invest in geothermal. The process was messy outside, we knew that was going to be the case, but worse than we expected. No fault of the crew, and we paid to have the lawn re-graded and seeded afterwards. No mess indoors. Crew worked hard and appeared trustworthy. System has worked without a hitch and we couldn't be happier. The made decent recommendations about reworking existing ductwork to improve efficiency and effectiveness and kept what was good with our previous ducts (had central AC, so the house did already have ductwork). Office staff helped us obtain all the tax benefits and rebates making it much more affordable. 1 year no cost financing also helped. We were able to heat our home to a much more comfortable temp (before it was so expensive we had to be rather tight about how much we ran that system) AND our BGE bills were about HALF of what they were previously in winter. If we had kept the temps the same I estimate our bills would have been about 1/3 of the previous. Looking forward to seeing the summer savings too! Would definitely do it again and would only recommend Ground Loop for their experience and the excellent final product. One star off punctuality not on a day to day basis, but some wait time getting started and them arranging sub contractors (driller).

Description of Work: They installed our geothermal unit. They were really good to work with running all the piping, etc. Every step of the way they were very courteous and efficient. They got the work done within a week to a week and a half. They were very understanding of keeping the noise to a minimum for my pregnant dog.

Description of Work: We have a challenging home with sections built in the late 1700's, 1860's, early 1900's and 1970's. Groundloop designed a great energy efficient geo thermal system and has helped us through some of the unique challenges our home presents. Their price was the best and we have enjoyed working with them. They helped us file all the paperwork we needed to get our rebates. They have helped us with all our questions. They were great.
