The plumber worked carefully and professionally to make the necessary repairs to the bathroom sink and toilet. For the outdoor faucet, he had to go purchase the parts and then replaced the faucet and the pipe feeding it. I was very pleased with the work he performed. He was also careful to wear covers on his shoes so he wouldn't track inside.

They were good. They came in when they said that they would. They fixed the problem and it was reasonably priced. It was not a lot. I paid more than $100 but less than $150. I would definitely use them again.

My mother was a little concerned about the bill because the copy wasn't very good and they didn't show her the parts that they switched. The lady at the office was very accomodating with my schedule and with the billing aspects!

They were very prompt and professional, they found the cause of the leak right away and scheduled with my tenants to return with the appropriate parts necessary to complete the job. Great job, reasonably priced!

The appointment was between 3 and 5. He was late and never called. I had to call the company to inquire why the plumber did not show and did not call. I was given the excuse that they were shorthanded and he was running late. When I asked for the appointment, I had asked for the last appointment of the day because I was getting granite countertops installed and wanted to make sure the installation was complete by the time the plumber arrived. I was told they could not give me an appointment after 4 PM. However, their plumber did not arrive to my home until 6:30. I told the person at Alexander that I had asked for a late appointment but she would not give me one. The installation of the countertops were completed by Noon and I could have run some errands instead sitting home waiting for a plumber who did not come at his appointed time and did not have the courtesy to call. The following day, I spoke with Mr. Alexander and explained my displeasure and disappointment. He apologized and gave me the same speech that they were shorthanded and he was running behind schedule. Regarding the used pipe, he assured me that they did not and could not use used piping. He said he would send someone to clean the pipe which he never did. I would never use this company again for anything and would not recommend them to anyone else. Incidentally, when the granite countertop installer came back to finish up a few minor touches, I showed him the pipe. He said he could not believe what the plumber had done. first of all the pipe was used and secondly, he made some connections that were totally unnecessary. The installer deliberately cut and patched piping to run the time out. He told me that the coupon I had was for, I believe he said 2 hours but he made sure it was 2.5 hours. I had to pay an additional $75 in addition to the coupon. For some reason now when I wash dishes manually, the suds and water backs up into the opposite sink when I am emptying the other sink. Terrible company, shoddy work.

Response was great. Good diagnoises was right on. Price seemed a little high. Left a little to fast 5 min. after they departed filter clogged up and no water. In their defence it was unforeseen,. Mark & Ben were easy to understand. All and all good job well done.

Ben called to let me know his ETA and called back when he was delayed for a few extra minutes. He arrived on time; completed the work; told me more about the company, and explained how often I should have this service done.

It went well, called around 8:45am and they came out around 11am. Fast service!! Ben the plumber guy knows what he is doing when he saw one of the pike leaking. I will definitely use this contractor again. Oh...reasonable price too and you also get a 10% discount with the job over $100.

They were awesome. It was a Saturday, and they came out fixed it quickly and efficiently. I will always call them again if I need anything.

They were punctual and professional. Fixed the issue with no problems and gave us an estimate for a future project. We would definitely use them again!

Mr. Alexander was a pleasure to work with. He conducted a site visit to better understand the work we wanted performed. His employee did the actual work the following week, and did a high quality job, although he did arrive nearly 2 hours late and had to leave during the day to obtain additional materials. I am confident the plumbing work performed will last the life of the house. In fact, Alexander's inclination to identify "elegant" or intelligent solutions was very much appreciated, and I wish his firm had been involved in the original house construction. Upon receipt of billing Mr. Alexander was willing to reconsider a few aspects and graciously provided a second invoice that was more mutually agreeable. His firm will keep my future business.

Went extremely well. My dad was able to meet them at the house and was very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. I bought the coupon and it was accepted with no problem so actual payment was less then the $508. They came out the very next morning from when I called and cleaned up so well I couldn't even tell they had been there, except for no leaks :). The person who answered the phone was very helpful and friendly. I am new to Delaware and have definitely found my new plumber.

The serviceman arrived on time and quickly repaired the leak. He was very courteous and professional. He cleaned up his work area after finishing. He told me in detail all the parts of the toilet that he replaced. The cost was very reasonable with the coupon.

Everything turned out very well. They also are very good at following up with any concerns. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Ben was prompt. He quickly came over and identified that the problem was that the replacement parts used were not appropriate for the job. He ran out to get the parts and quickly made the repair. He seemed comfortable with our pets and 3-year-old son hanging around and interacted well with them (very important to me). Everything seemed fine. He also took some pictures to try and identify some more unique parts for our particular set-up that my landlord has been trying to replace since well before we occupied the property. He is going to look into obtaining them and made a couple other recommendations. The job was done first thing in the morning. Later in the afternoon my son opened the cabinet under the sink to find a small puddle from a remaining small, slow leak that was not apparent when he tested the pipes before he left. I called and got the office voice mail but received a call back in about 2 minutes saying that he could be to my place in 30 minutes ... sure enough he was there and fixed the problem in a couple minutes. Very happy with the service.

I had a pipe break on my hot water heater with a loud boom and it was spraying water all over my utility room. When I went downstairs I smelled gas so thought it was a gas leak. Turned off the gas to the hot water heater but couldn't turn the water off. Leaver on too tight. I called the gas company and they came out turned off the water for me and checked the gas lines. Said I need a plumber and recommended Alexander Plumbing to me. I called and left a message with my problem. They were short handed due to illness and the owner was on a call over a hour away and he came at 4:50. His wife fields the calls and she kept me updated on his location and time. When he came he put booties on and accessed my problem. He replaced the two pipes going into the hot water heater from the main line. Relit the pilet light and told us to wait about 1.5 hours for the glue to dry on the PVC pipe he used. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Explained everything to my husband and myself. Everything went so smoothly and he is reasonably priced. Will definitely use again and will recommend him to my neighbors.

We scheduled to make an appointment so I took the day off work and that day they called me and said they would need to reschedule, but I said that was not acceptable because I had already taken the day off to get this done, so they called me back about 20 minutes later and said they would be there in 30 minutes. When they finally showed up a little more than an hour and a half later, I was actually on the phone with Angie's List to cancel the Deal. The plumber looked around for a few minutes and told me that my toilet needed replaced and told me to pick up the toilet and they would install it. He also looked around the plumbing system and took some samples and made some recommendations. I also asked him about my garbage disposal as I wanted it replaced, but he didn't seem interested in doing that part of the job. He then gave me an estimate for all the costs and I told him about the Angie's List coupon I had and he didn't seem to know what it was. He talked with is boss and made sure the coupon was applicable, which is was. He took the coupon with him and I never heard from him again. They were supposed to be here today, but they never showed up and never called. The bottom line is that I didn't feel that the company found my time valuable.

They always kept in communication with me. If they couldn't be here at 9:00 to start they called to let me know when and why. They finished in a few days. They came back to smooth up the walls and make sure I was satisfied.

Troy came out and was quick to work on all our issues. Once he took care of them all he addressed some other items that we had put off evaluating for a long time. These were only items that we brought up and the answers were thorough and helpful. We will use them whenever we have future issues.

Professionally handed. Shannon in the office efficiently scheduled and then rescheduled the appointment at my request. Ben, the plumber, wore protection on his shoes, was personable and courteous, took time to answer all my questions, is knowledgeable and quickly repaired the toilets. I'll use them again.

Our home was built in 1880 so we have had a lot of experience with home repairs. We noticed our new wood floor in our kitchen was damp. When we checked under the crawl space we noticed water was running out on the ground. The crawl space is very small under that part of the house and my husband is no longer able to maneuver under there. We found Alexander's Plumbing on Angie's List and gave them a call. They responded right away and had a plumber there in two hours. Troy was able to fix the leak within an hour. He was polite and professional. They even honored the discount for services that was offered on the web. We will be sure to call them again if needed.

Called the office and was able to get an appointment to meet my schedule. Had to make a last minute change in the time and they were able to accommodate my new time. As promised, the office called when the technician, Ben, was on his way. He arrived promptly and put on some protective booties before he entered the house. Ben was polite and professional as he listened to my description of the problem, and then he immediately went to work. Initially he we could not duplicate the problem and I wondered if this would be a wasted effort. After some more troubleshooting and analysis, he duplicated the leak and quickly analyzed the problem. He explained what he planned to do before taking any action and took time to answer all my questions. The actual repair was completed in about an hour and Ben showed me the repaired area. He performed a final leak check and gave me some suggestions on another job I was considering. The entire process from start to finish was performed in an outstanding manner. I'd call these people again and recommend them to my friends and coworkers.

I called this morning with an emergency (toilet leak) after reading good reviews of Alexander Plumbing here on Angie's List and seeing also that this company was located very close to my home. The owner answered the phone and was professional and kind. He told me he had a pllumber in my neighborhood, would call to find out how quickly he could come, and would call back. The owner called back 5 minutes later to tell me the plumber would be at my house in 15 minutes! The plumber arrived within 15 minutes and was very polite, dressed in a business shirt identifying the company, and he covered his shoes before coming in. What we thought was a simple job--a wax ring that needed replacing--turned out to be much worse: the porcelain was cracked and the toilet needed to be replaced. The plumber offered to install the toilet for us today or tomorrow, and he could go pick up a toilet for us or we could pick it up and he could come back. We chose to have him pick up the toilet for us and then install, which he did after confirming with the company that this work could fit into the day's schedule. All of the work was completed thoroughly and professionally. It was expensive, but considering that the plumber had to come twice in one day and fit in a shopping trip for us in between, it was to be expected. A bonus was that the plumber asked me if there was anything else I needed him to look at in my home while he was there. I had always wondered how to open up a drain in one of my tubs and, although there was no problem, the plumber took the time to figure out how to open it and showed me. I woke up with a plumbing emergency that was completely corrected within a few hours by clean, kind, professional people, and for that I highly recommend Alexander Plumbing.

The woman who answered the phone was incredibly friendly and helpful. They made it out to the house within a couple of hours and were able to fix my problem. They were helpful and answered my questions without making me feel like an idiot for not knowing about plumbing. I would highly recommend them.
