Randy showed up exactly on time. He quickly looked at what I wanted done and gave me an estimate on the spot before starting. The total price seemed a bit high since I had already provided the sink and faucet, but given the workmanship it is worth it. Randy took great care in his work. He took took time to not cut more than he had to through my wall. He turned the cold and hot lines inward so the markings wouldn't take away from my newly painted wall. He even took it upon himself to secure the sink to the floor after he confirmed with me it was placed exactly where I planned it out. When everything was complete he made sure the area was clean. These little details really made his work stand out. Randy answered all my questions along the way and never seemed annoyed at some novice questions. He also looked at one of my toilets for free. Our home inspector noted something wrong, but with a quick fix Randy took care of it with no added charge. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend Alexander plumbing to fellow Angie's List members. The only piece of advice I can recommend is print out the Angies List coupon before your service. My printer was out of ink and Randy couldn't discount the service without the paper to attach to the bill. =========== Update: After calling Alexander Plumbing as Randy suggested regarding the Angie's list discount, I was sent a check within a day or so. They were very polite and accommodating and didn't even pause about issuing a refund of the discounted amount.

They were excellent. I would definitely use them again. They did good work and we haven’t had any problems with their work. Their estimates were pretty much spot on, and they were very clean. They were a little price but I think it was well worth it because of the peace of mind that I get according to the quality of the work.

Having a leak that was making a puddle in my crawlspace, I was delighted that the dispatcher was able to schedule a crew to come to us just a few hours later. The crew (two gentlemen) arrived on time and were extremely courteous and friendly. They found the leaky pipe and fixed the problem very quickly. They also checked on a water pressure problem we are having and discovered a faulty pump switch, which they also replaced promptly. The problem was covered by my home warranty and I had been authorized to go out of network since none of their providers were available to deal with my leak. Though Alexander Plumbing was not in their service list, they had no problem dealing with the Authorization Department of the warranty to clear up my bill. Truly a treat. I will go back to them for any future work.

Called Alexander Plumbing based on Angie's List reviewers and a recommendation from good friends. Called over the weekend, they got back to me quickly and Mark met me at the rental property on a Sunday afternoon to assess things. Note the property is in Middle River which is pretty far from them, but he still gladly came out. He gave me a quote ($2356) the next day that included up to an additional $450 in case the line didn't run like he thought it did and it didn't come out like he expected it to. The water meter cover was mostly in the sidewalk and I was worried that the sidewalk would have to be dug up to get to the line, but he was right and they didn't need to do that. Everything went very smoothly, there was no additional cost, and the guys that did the work were quick and thorough and really knew what they were doing. Andy, the "lead" plumber, was quite the comedian as well. They also took the 10% off up to $100 coupon without any problems, bringing the total to $2256. Work that was quoted and performed: ...replace existing 3/4" underground water service from meter vault to just inside of home, with 3/4" Type K copper, and add thermal expansion tank and dual check valve per county code. Also replace 2 shut off valves with full port ball valves and new pressure reducing valve. It was a lot of work and I can tell they did things right! Note that another plumber came out and gave me two quotes. First was for $1900 to replace the first half of the line where the leak was, the second quote was $3900 (!!!!!!) to replace the entire line, rip up the sidewalk, and put the sidewalk back together. Turns out the sidewalk didn't need to be touched, just like Mark thought, and we got one solid continuous line that will probably outlast the house. Oh and Mark also returned a call this past weekend. The pressure reducing valve was letting out a high pitched noise, turns out it was because a toilet was dripping a little water in the tank. Fixed that and the noise was gone. Very thankful Mark got back to me right away with that call. I will definitely use Alexander Plumbing again. They are highly recommended!

After buying a house, I noticed that the basement toilet wobbled. So I took off the toilet and saw that the flange was broken on either side. Removing a flange is a very delicate process, for if you break the lower pipe, you have to rip up the floor and re-pipe the line. I called up a few plumbers, and Alexander's Plumbing was the one one who could get on their schedule within a reasonable time (2 days). The technician arrived exactly on time, and though I had clearly explained I needed the flange to be replaced, he had to leave for about 25 minutes to grab the correct tool he needed (in order to cut out the old flange). Unfortunately that time counted towards labor. It took him about 15 minutes to remove the old flange, and another 15-20 to prepare for the new one and install it. After he left (and after the glue had dried), I re-installed the toilet myself with the wax ring and new bolts, and it worked perfectly. The price for the service was a little high, but overall I am happy with it. The tech was very professional and I would definitely use them again.

He did the most beautiful job. In addition to the routine installation, he had to remove the lower shelf on my work bench, because the work bench was actually built around the existing pipe. This c**** in the plan barely set him back at all. He neatly removed the shelf, completed the installation, and then put my work bench back together exactly the way it was before. And all of this in record time. I would gladly recommend Alexander Plumbing Service, Inc., based on my great experience, to everyone. I thought the price was very fair, and Randy was pleasant and very professional. Mr. Alexander as well as his office personnel were also very pleasant. I'm glad I found a reliable, experienced, fair priced plumber that I can call upon in the future. I am a very happy customer.

Fixed in less than 30 minutes. Waited a few minutes to make sure the line was in working order and no leaks.

They sent a plumber and a helper for a job that probably could have been done as efficiently by a single plumber but allowed my to use the helper to do some minor repair work on an outside faucet so the manpower was not wasted. The work was done in a professional manner and the price was fair. I have no complaints with Alexander's and will probably use them again. I used an Angie's List Big Deal ($200 of services for $119 -- this discount is not reflected in the approximate cost of service above) and was a bit upset that the Big Deal didn't disclose that it covered only labor until after it was purchased. However the labor was over $200 so I was able to take full advantage of the discount.

The provider was courteous and professional. I incurred an additional charge, because it took a while for him to solder the pipe in the laundry room. Overall, the service provided was good and I would hire them again to do plumbing jobs for me.

Great people to deal with, from scheduling appts on phone with office to the men who came to our home. All were professional, courteous and easy to deal with and didnt mind alot of questions, and when they said they would find out and get back to me, they did indeed get back to me as they had promised. I highly recommend this business.

It was good. They were on time, professional, honest, reasonable, all those good things. They did a good job. It has been a number of months now and everything is working fine, so I guess the proof is in the pudding. We bought other fixtures as well to match the tub.

Called during frozen pipe issue. Office empathized with my situation. No longer services my area. I contacted another Angie's List plumber who performed the work. Angie's List has offered to credit me the purchase price. That is in process.

I had a leak in my pipes in the basement. When I called they were extremely nice, told me when they could come, called when they were on their way and fixed my leak.

We have used their service in the past. They were very prompt. They had to come back out to try to fix something for me and they would not charge me for each trip. One technician was doing the work for me and they followed up well. They couldn't exactly fix the problem so they had to give me an estimate on the more expensive repair for the future.

Troy and Feddie came the very next day, early in the morning, just as they said they would. They put on booties to ensure my carpet wouldn't get dirty, which was a definite plus for me because I don't wear shoes in my home. They ran into some problems with my shower because the person who installed it hadn't cut a wide enough faucet hole and they couldn't access the value. Together, we worked out a solution and they were able to cut a larger hole to get to the part that needed to be fixed. They had to go get a part, but they were back very quickly and finished the job to my satisfaction. They had me test the hot and cold water settings and everything worked well. They fixed the toilet leak by adding a new wax ring and tested it in front of me a few times so I could check their work. They installed the new kitchen faucet, which wasn't easy to do because the prior faucet bolts were rusted and difficult to remove. They tested the faucet to ensure there were no leaks and explained the special tools that came with the faucet in case I needed to use them. I appreciated how they walked me through each process to explain what they had done. The bill was very clear about the hours of labor, parts, etc. I especially liked how I could pay with a credit card. That makes things so convenient. All in all, I really liked their work and their professionalism. I would definitely call them again for any plumbing problems.

The kitchen sink drain had been leaking. Husband applied silacone caulk but we still got wet. So it was time to call in the pros. Plumber guys came out and filled both sinks and waited for leak. Didn't happen. They believe husband's caulk just needed time to cure. Advised us to call them back if wetness returns. The workers were professional and polite. I will definately hire them when we remodel our kitchen next year. Update: The sink drain did leak a few days later. When husband went to Home Depot and described drain pipe arangement, he was told it was totally wierd and that arrangement could result in sewer smells. Yes, I've noticed the stink for the last year. We ended up removing all the cobbled together pipes and fittings and putting in a much simpler arrangment. It doesn't leak any more and the sewer smell is gone. I'm very disappointed that the plumber pros didn't mention that the kludge we inherited from previous owner was problematic. No, I will not hire these guys again.

two workers arrived timely and replaced toilets with Garber pressure ADA toliets. Removed old toliets and left everything clean and tidy
