Everything went very well.

We had previously used Xtra Care Landscaping for work on our front yard and were extremely pleased with the result so we followed up with a request for re-design and landscaping of our backyard. The work was done in the May/June time-frame in 2013 after the design had been completed. The result is a transformed backyard which has drawn many favorable comments from neighbors. Xtra Care handled the work in a timely fashion and, once again, did a great job on delivering a finished product. As an added bonus they included a complimentary power wash of the brick patio in the backyard. This is not a cut price service, but the pricing is very fair and the company provides good value for money.

We use Xtra Care Landscaping for both our mowing and landscaping needs. We have been customers for sixteen years and have seen the company grow from a small lawn service company to the successful full service company that exists today. Although Xtra Care is large in its customer base and service options, their attentiveness, professionalism, and high level customer service remain the same. We are so very happy with this wonderful company, and would not hesitate for a second to recommend them to others. The price is reasonable, and the finished product is awesome every time. If I ever have any concern, it is always addressed professionally. Cleber the owner is a wonderful manager and ensures that his employees are well-educated on the services that they provide. It is wonderful to know that we being well-cared for by an honest group of hard-working and dedicated individuals.

After being completely ripped off by Bateman Landscaping last year, we finally had enough. A business card was left in our mailbox so we decided to get a quote from them. Hired immediately, they started a two day clean-up (2 groomed acres). They trimmed all the trees, HAND trimmed the smaller hedges, edged all the beds (perfectly I might add) and mulched. Fantastic job!!! The crew was very diligent, polite & professional. Wilfredo was extremely knowledgable and pointed out things we hadn't noticed. Our weekly cut includes full weeding of the beds bi-monthly at a lesser rate than we were previously paying per week. We've recommended them to our neigbours and they too are very pleased. I highly recommend Xtra-Care Lawn & Landscape. You won't be disappointed!

I have been using their services for twelve years and they are great! They do beautiful work and have great communication! Their prices are very fair. At the beginning of each season, they send you a letter than you can fill out and mail back if you wanted to change, add, or subtract any of your regular services. They plow snow in the winter time and do stone work as well! Anytime that I ever had a problem, it has only taken one phone call for a resolution. I highly recommend their services to others! As long as I live here and need a lawn mowed, I will never hire anyone else but him, ever.

My initial contact with the owner (Cleber) was very impressive. He inspected my yard and asked all the right questions, and then he asked to have his lanscaping team leader come with him one additional time to discuss plans for pruning, etc. before making a proposal. I found the process transparent and very professional. The only downside was that I thought it was relatively expensive, but I was prepared to pay for a quality job, and to date that's exactly what I have received. My lawn has never looked better, and I am most impressed with the thoughtfulness of the crew that comes to do the monthly pruning -- they demonstrate considerable knowledge of how to maintain the various plantings on our property. This is not just a "trim every bush" kind of operation. In addition, the major cleanups in Fall and Spring have been very thorough and professionally done. They did an outstanding job mulching as well. Communication throughout has been excellent, with the central office representative responding quickly to any questions I might have, and Cleber always available too. In sum, a top notch organization with expertise that takes it far beyond the usual lawn maintenance crews you can hire. You may pay more, but in my experience it has been worth it.

Xtra Care provided the requested type of mulch. They showed up on time. The workers were careful to install the mulch without damage to flowers or stepping in beds. Xtra Care checked the completeness of their work and cleaned up afterward. Price was reasonable. Would use again.

Excellent, we are delighted with the final outcome and also delighted with the very personal service provided by the companhy management and owners. They all worked very hard to ensure customer satisfaction. If any element of the job was not going right, the company owners listened closely and worked immediately to fix the issue - most things went well but on any job there are always issues and the real test of a company is how responsive it is after payment is made and a problem comes up. This company was always professional, fair and responsive. The owners are directly involved in all elements of the job and clearly work hard to EARN a very positive reputation. Wonderful contractor and would not hesitate to hire again! I wish all companies were this good. Angie is the designer and she met with us several times so we could discuss what we wanted as the final outcome. She created CAD-type color visuals for us to show how the finished project would look. This was incredibly helpful for us. We iterated the design many times and each time Angie was patient, and always very helpful - she has a vast knowledge of plants and trees and deftly helped to steer us to what was logical for our area of the country, and yet met our desires. She never made it "her" design, but instead made sure it was a design that we wanted. Her husband, Cleber, was also incredibly helpful He met me at local nurseries to show me specific plants and trees we were considering. His vast knowledge of the local conditions of soil, weather and rainfall, along with his desire to ensure the clients allowed us to sought through many options quickly and efficiently to select the best items. They provided both of their cell phone numbers so we could contact them at any time. They also were very flexible meeting us before and after usual work hours and on weekends for meetings. While the project was underway then routinely stopped in to check on the work quality. I also was able to contact them anytime day or night to report a concern or issue, and they were immediately responsive and resolved the situation quickly and fairly. They closely supervised their subcontractors and in one case worked with the subcontractor to ensure the job was done to their high quality standard. At the conclusion of the project they did a thorough walk-through, created a punchlist of items and worked those to completion. Even after final payment they stayed in touch to ensure we were 100% satisfied! Overall an EXCELLENT experience and contractor!

We contacted Xtra Care to have them bid on landscaping and repaving work for the front yard of our townhouse. They arrived at the scheduled time to provide an estimate and were both thorough and courteous. They listened to what we wanted and made appropriate recommendations. They were punctual and professional, and when they planted in an area we didn't want, they quickly fixed the error (which may well have been caused by a miss communication on my part). Overall, this was a great experience both in quality of the work product and customer service. We will definitely be calling them again when we're ready to do more work on our property.

The process went great overall. It took them about 2 weeks to completely re-do the backyard. There were never any delays.

This was a very big project, but Xtra Care was able to start fairly promptly and to complete the work within a period of roughly three weeks. Their staff worked diligently, often starting early in the day and working through until it got dark. We did make a couple of changes and additions to the plan as the project progressed, and Xtra Care was very responsive and prompt in showing us the cost impacts. We are VERY pleased with the results, the whole front yard has been transformed, the new paving of the driveway and paths in particular looks magnificent. The watering system installed by Mario Rodriguez works very well. We have had numerous compliments from our neighbors on the transformation of our front yard.

XtraCare installed a landscape design that I worked out with an exterior landscape designer who drew the garden of my dreams. XtraCare executed the first phase of the installation of my landscape for my daughter's high school graduation. I found the gardening and administrative staff at XtraCare courteous, respectful, responsive, and knowledgeable about their work. I especially appreciated the enthusiasm and professionalism with which the head landscaper and Meiriene at the administrative offices handled all communications with me. I am in good hands with XtraCare and I look forward to working with the company over the next few years to complete the garden installation. I'd recommend XtraCare to anyone who values great service and expertise.

This process took place over several weeks and we did it in phases. Xtra Care met with us several times to go over plans and answer questions. They were very patient with our concerns and willing to break the job into phases. They did a fantastic job on tree removal. They came back a second time after we decided that more trees should be removed to let more sunlight in. They were very careful and professional, removing all wood and debris and cleaning up the site completely. Several days were spent preparing the site and installing the seed. We were amazed that within a week of seeding the area, most of the seed had germinated. Over the next 10 days, more grass emerged and now we have a bright green lawn where there was previously dirt and weeds. Now it will be up to us to keep the lawn healthy and growing.

Xtra Care did great work for us; we changed our minds several times and they were tolerant and helpful with adjusting the estimate. Work was done promptly and well. We're very happy with how the yard looks and will certainly use Xtra Care in the future.

Cleber was excellent. He came out twice to look at the job and to give us an idea of what he proposed to solve our issues. We didn't really have a design in mind, so we were quite happy with what he devised. There was some confusion about when the work would actually be done, so I got a surprise call at work that a crew had shown up at my home and were waiting to start work. I had to turn around and leave the office and rush home to let them in and give them access to water. That was rather annoying, especially after we'd called previously to figure out when to schedule the job. But after that issue, the work was done in just one day, and it looks beautiful. We were greatly impressed with the job done, the clear vision of how to redesign our backyard, and the quality of the workmanship. So, in conclusion, I think that except for some communication issues, Xtra Care did an excellent job and that I'd definitely hire them again for more landscaping work.

We were having flooding issues and decided to install a French drain. We got estimates from several companies and decided to go with Xtra Care because we liked their ideas and found their prices to be very competitive and reasonable. We liked that we could get waterproofing, drainage, and lawn services all from one company. We also liked Cleber and felt he understands customer service. His crew worked very hard and in less than two weeks waterproofed the foundation along one side of our house, dug a French Drain, built up our window well wall, and re-leveled a patio. We later hired them to do yard clean-up and to dig an area for me to have a vegetable garden. We also had them draw up a plan to add a fountain to our Koi pond. We like the design very much and are saving up for that as a future project. In a project as big as ours, there are bound to be surprises or hiccups-- like when when we discovered a major tree route blocking the planned path of the French drain. Cleber's team was careful to consult with us on a solution that we all agreed on before proceeding ahead. Or when we decided not to do lawn re-seeding but the message failed to get back to the crew and they did it anyway, Cleber did not charge us for the mistake. In short, we feel Cleber runs a professional business and is eager to do a good job. He and his team are very responsive and understand customer service. It's been very easy to work with his team.

I responded to an ad placed in my mailbox, but had not heard of this company. After the initial presentation by the owner, I contacted other companies for estimates. Cost proposals were similar, but the Xtracare designer prepared such a nice color design (with two design iterations) that we proceeded immediately with this company. The crew chief supervised all phases of the work including sidewalk removal, grading, paver installation, topsoil installation and landscape planting. Work crew size varied from 2 to 6 workers, depending on ongoing needs. In a couple of instances the crew supervisor spotted questionable drainage issues, and had some of the work torn out and replaced to be sure drainage would be sufficient. Since the company had several other ongoing projects, they elected to work late and also on a Saturday, at no extra charge, to complete my project without adding delays.

THE CREW THAT WAS WORKING AT MY HOUSE WERE ON TIME ALL IN UNIFORMS VERY RESPONSIBLE THEY ARE WHAT THEY PREACH ! THEY DO MAKE LANDSCAPING DREAMS COME TRUE.

I did not pick Xtra Care from Angie's List, but after I had interview over 5 other companies, some directly from Angie's list, regarding their pricing and quantified their knowledge and work from my various interviews I selected Xtra Care. I found their pricing to be comparable and reasonable. I also became acquainted and comfortable with Mr. Rodrigues's knowlege of lawn care, and landscaping. For those reasons I chose to do business with him. He was very prompt and very professional during my interview/estimate and was easily reachable via email thereafter. He went above and beyond the call when I requested if he could suggest other shurbs and or plants to replace what we took out and he emailed about 5 suggestions with pictures and descriptions, he was also quick to point out and advise us for planting trees in the same area. He provided us a team of 3 people to perform the actual mulching, cleanup, pruning and removal of the diseased shrub. His team worked over 8 hours in our lawn; well into the evening hours and received their initial instructions from Mr. Rodrigues and were open to me overseeing their operation and work. The overall work was performed very well with only minor factors that will be addressed the next time. I found Mr. Rodrigues and his team very easy to work with and will hire him and his team again for future work.

My HOA required me to plant plants that would block the split-rail fence in a couple of years after i put in the fence. XtraCare assured me the plants they put in would grow very fast and block the view of the fence. now it's been 5 years and i still have these puny little plants. They designed and put in stone walls for my front porch and put in a drainage. The stone walls and porch look gtreat except when they put in the drainage, they did it half way of the slope of the front yard, and now i have a ditch on the front yard from washed out earth whenever it rains.

They are not the best, but their work is satisfactory. They are also very cheap. They also do weeding and cleanup once a year for additional charges. Their price is flexible. They charge by the hour, by the work done, and by the number of people working. They do the work per our order unlike other yard work companies where we have to listen to what they say.

They did very good work with respect to the landscaping. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, they assigned someone to build the pond with no experience, and it was a disaster. Ultimately, it collapsed. We asked for our money back, just on the pond costs, since we ended up with no pond. This was refused. We hired someone else to fill the pond in, at our pwn expense.
