Great! The Hassle Free team was friendly, professional, and very skilled in their workmanship. We are 100% happy with our new kitchen and family room. The hardest part was choosing the floor, cabinets, countertop and backsplash. However, I felt no pressure from HFHI even as I kept changing my mind. They were patient and helpful in guiding us through the entire process. In the end, we made the exact right choice for us and have a beautiful kitchen now open to our family room. We highly recommend HFHI as a team you can trust to help you implement your dream for your home.

Mickey was a pleasure to work with on a personal level. He was timely in quote responses and made himself available off hours for showroom visitations and material selections. His quotes were more reasonable then others we had received. As the project was underway we had a steady crew of workers that performed the day to day job and it was nice seeing the same faces each day. Communication from Steve, the head builder was frequent and he answered any questions we had. The quality of work was top notch. We are very pleased to present the finished master bathroom to our friends and family. The mudroom turned out perfect even though we went into it with a rough idea of what we wanted. They were flexible and helped give ideas on layout, functionality, and looks. I plan on using them again for kitchen work in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I spoke someone for kitchen remodeling consultation. i was told to send a picture of my kitchen and i did so. Then he asked me to provide so may answer and measurement through email. I politely refused and asked him for visit. I was responded to his email of my name, address and phone # and suggested my best time. Then he never answered my request for a week which is very unprofessional and full of hassle. I don't think the name of company and their action is the right fit. Bad business model!!!

We love our new kitchen that Mickey Taff’s team with Hassle Free Home Improvement built! We obtained bids from three other contractors, and were impressed with Mickey’s professionalism from the start. We had already selected our cabinetry, so our job was to completely renovate our kitchen per a design conceived by our cabinetry dealer, including removing a load-bearing wall between our kitchen and family room, and we needed a contractor to turn this plan into reality. We initially pursued another contractor because of a lower bid, but when we discovered that this other company’s licensing status was not as represented on Angie’s List, we turned to Mickey. His references spoke very highly of his work. Mickey also worked hard with us to define requirements and identify issues up front, and employed a clear and reasonable contract. His on-site team, lead by Steve, was a model of quality and integrity. They were always courteous and considerate in our home, and we were glad to have them there. You may hear stories of nightmarish cost overruns in kitchen remodels—there was nothing like that in our case. Supplements in our project were few and far between, a testament to the fidelity of Mickey’s original estimate and the value his company provides. The craftsmanship of Hassle Free’s work is outstanding, and their commitment to satisfying the customer is sincere and strong.

I hired Hassle Free to remodel my kitchen which included new cabinets, a quartz countertop, and tile floor. I am very happy with the work they performed and love my new kitchen. The remodel went very smoothly and was completed in less than 3 weeks. Steve and his crew were great and tried to their best to make the remodel the least disruptive for me – I was able to have my fridge and my oven most of the time. They really were as hassle free as you can be with a kitchen remodel. Mickey was very helpful in setting up times to pick out samples and setting up the schedule. They were even able to start the job a few weeks earlier. I plan on having them remodel my powder room. I would highly recommend them.

My wife and I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had with Hassle Free Home Improvements when they completed our kitchen remodel last month. At the inception, we had a pretty strict budget in mind and the owner (Mickey Taff) and his designer (Kevin) worked hard with us to come up with a strategy that would get us the kitchen we wanted and stay within our budget. I cannot say enough about how responsive and helpful they were and the commitment and sincerity they showed to help us achieve our goal. After the contract was signed, we got to experience the crew. Top notch all of the way. The project manager Steve and the main laborer Dave, were completely capable and professional in their approach to our project and worked hard to ensure that all of the facets of the job went smoothly, timely and accurately. They were very accessible, always accommodating and a pleasure to deal with on a daily basis. The other crew members were also all extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. My wife and I were very comfortable with these professionals working in our home when we were not there. Additionally, the electrician they used, Josh, also top notch, pleasant and professional. We are very happy with the final product and I have to say that Mickey and Hassle Free Home Improvements, Inc. has raised the bar for what we will now expect from a home improvement contractor.

Our Hassle Free experience was outstanding in every way. We contracted with them after interviewing and soliciting bids from three remodeling companies as well as performing due diligence on Angie's List and two other on line referral services. Hassle Free has a showroom in Damascus and is an authorized representative for several different tile and cabinet manufacturers which enabled us to shop price, design and supplier right in the showroom. Owner Mickey Taff guided us through the decision making and materials selection process expertly and without a trace of high pressure or efforts at up-selling. We were completely comfortable with him and his crew of workers and subcontractors. The project began and ended on time and the various tradesmen and craftsmen who worked on our home were highly professional as well as personable and friendly. Steve Trutkoff was our project manager and is a consummate professional. No job is too big or too small for Steve and his positive, can-do attitude is refreshing and contagious. I can highly recommend this outstanding local company.

From the beginning, it was indeed hassle free. Mickey Teff, the owner came out to the house and we had a preliminary discussion. We then received a computer design without charge and met with the designer, made modifications, chose colors, counter tops, cabinets, sink, etc. and after all that, we signed a contract. The project took less than 4 weeks from start to finish and the crew was very helpful and neat, moving things around to minimize the inconvenience. We couldn't be happier.

I got an immediate response from someone saying that they would forward my phone number to the boss, but never received a phone call to discuss the work.

Hassle Free Home Improvements, Inc came out for a quote but did not do the work. I appreciate the flexibility that they had because I think, If I remember correctly, we were stuck somewhere trying to get back to meet them for our quote and they had no problem with that. They just went and took care some other things and came back after that. They didn't complain about that at all. But, if I also remember correctly, we did tell them what our budget for the work was and they just completely blew that budget out the window. They just completely ignored our budget. They never did any work for us other than giving the quote. I can't really speak for the quality of the work. If I remember correctly, it took them a while to call us back. They were here when they were supposed to be even though we weren't.

We are very pleased with the kitchen that Hassle Free Home Improvements helped us create. Mickey and his entire staff did a great job for a very fair price. Mickey & Karen were wonderful in giving us design ideas. Steve and all the crew were very professional and friendly in executing the design. They were also quick to rectify any issues that cropped up. We highly recommend Hassle Free Home Improvements for your next home improvement project.

Work began soon after contract was signed. Crew was great. Responded quickly to any questions and concerns. My satisfaction was a priority. Great company to work with.

We had an outstanding experience with this company. Mickey was extremely responsive about getting the work underway as soon as possible and we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to start the job a little earlier than they estimated. The wall separating the mid century kitchen from the dining room was demolished, the kitchen was gutted and then the crew replaced all the cabinets, countertops, flooring and backsplash. At the same time, the crew created one large bathroom from two tiny rooms and that also involved tearing down and building walls and installing a large new shower, vanity and frosted pocket door into the new bathroom. The team also replaced the floor, toilet and sink from another bathroom, which resulted in a sleek, clean looking bathroom. Steve was onsite daily and he ensured that the plumber and electricians came exactly when needed so that no projects were held up. He also let us know when we needed to make decisions ( about paint colors etc) and kept the project moving forward at break neck speed--he actually went the extra mile--bringing a snow blower after a blizzard so the group didn't lose time on the project. At the end of the project, the guys did an incredible job cleaning up. The whole crew was a pleasure to work with and the work was masterfully done. The wall and floor tiles were difficult to install because of the age of the house, but the finished project is beautiful. In fact, we are extremely pleased with the way the house turned out--it has been updated for the way families live today in a manner respectful to the mid-century era. We look forward to working with Hassle Free in the future.

From the start Mickey and his team were professionals. When he came out to give a quote, we immediately agreed that he would be the contractor to help finish our basement. His team stuck to their schedule and finished in time for our Christmas celebration in our new home. The team took care to ensure that they did track dirt through the house in the path to the work area. They paid attention to details and I was very satisfied with the work. The basement was supposed to be a "man-cave", but I spend just as much time in the remodeled area as he does. We received so many compliments on the bar when we had our first gathering. perfect height and space to prepare drinks!!!!!

This is the fourth time we have hired Hassle Free and they have always maintained the highest standards for quality work, responsiveness, and good communication. It is reassuring to see the same familiar faces whenever Mickey's crews arrive to work, but also nice to meet some new employees too. Mickey sub-contracted with Todd Masterson to do the roof and we were completely satisfied with the work Todd's crews did; I have written a separate review for Masterson Roofing. We could not be happier with the finished tile kitchen floor and were very grateful for the obvious care that Frankie took in cutting and laying the tiles and completing the finishing work. He did the same with the marble tile work on the fireplace. It is always a delight to work with Frankie and admire the quality and skill he brought to the tile work. We worked through Hassle Free to purchase all of the tile at Mosaic Tile in Rockville, and were thus able to receive a steep discount. The people at Mosaic were also great to work with, especially Cristal, who showed complete mastery of the tile products carried by Mosaic. While the painting of our front porch was a minor job compared to the larger work done on the roof and kitchen floor, it was also handled expertly and was done with care so that the paint adheres well to the wood and will last a long time. Hassle Free shows the same care and excellence in all of their work. In short, this was another great job by a great crew and company. Thanks again to Mickey, Steve, Frankie, Dave, Kelly, Liandro, and anyone else I may have left out!

HFHI made adjustments that were very practical when the structural problem was identified afer the wall was opened. As expected, the adjustments increased the price overall but the cost was still very reasonable. The quality of work at the end was excellent. Communication was always good and I would use them again in the future if I need more remodeling down.

The contractor contacted me right away via email on the Angie's list site. He asked some specific questions to get a feel of what I really needed. When I gave him the answers to the questions he immediately realized the scope of work I wanted done was smaller than what his company does. He was very polite, and I appreciated his honesty to let me know right away without trying to talk me into something bigger than we wanted to do. Even though he did not do the work for me I appreciate that he didn't waste my time with coming out to do an estimate or trying to talk me into something more than I really wanted. If I have an occasion in the future where I have a bigger job I would contact him in a heartbeat to get an estimate.

Hassle Free was a great company to work with. We had gotten several quotes to re-do our master bath and Mickey was the only one to tell us that, in is opinion, the whole bathroom did not need to be re-done because it was in very good condition. He suggested we just do the shower. I like that he didn't try to sell us more services than we really needed. His crew was very professional, polite, and hard-working. They arrived on-time and made sure to lay down drop clothes to cover our floors. They were very careful walking through our narrow hallways with all their equipment and materials. The job was finished on time and Mickey checked in to make sure we were happy with the finished product. We appreciate the service-minded professionalism this company offered.

The provider and project mgr were very responsive to our needs and performed quality work in a timely manner.

Hassle Free Home Improvements did a very nice job in remodeling my kitchen. I provided plans and all materials. They were good a following the plans, and making adjustments when necessary. The tile work and cabinet installation was done very well, and the electrician and plumbers were both very professional and knowledgeable. All of the guys were very friendly and polite especially when my 4 year old daughter was in the house. Steve was always very responsive and understanding with any concerns that I had through out the process, and Leandro's perfectionism was very appreciated! My only real complaint was that there were often times when the guys did not clean up well at the end of the day (or at the end of the week) and I had to go behind and put things away so we could still kind of use the space. Also - some of the drywall work wasn't that great, but when I called about it (after the job was finished and the final payment had been made) they were happy to come back and fix up the spots that were not up to my standards, and now I am very happy with it.

Estimate was for a flat fee. Estimated up to 3 days, but crew came in and finished in one long single day. Clean, professional, and interactive.

This was the second project I've done with Mickey Taff and his team (they finished my basement, including adding a bathroom, a few years ago) and, as before, it was a delight to work with them. The company leadership, Mickey and Steve, are warm, down-to-earth people and they make it easy to get through these sometimes daunting projects. Their open and low-key styles encourage discussion about options, helping to make all the decision-making easier. They listen to the client's interests and preferences, offer helpful suggestions, and find creative ways to develop and realize the vision. And after the work begins, they are always available to talk if questions or problems arise. The individuals who make up the crew are all expert and accomplished at their individual specialties...they all did outstanding jobs. They are also nice to have around, pleasant and friendly. There was no wasted time, no sitting around chatting, going out for lunch, etc. The work went on all day and, if it was time to quit but a job was not quite finished, they asked if it was OK to stay a little longer so they could complete it. Each day ended with clean up, so the house remained livable throughout. I love the work that was done...the bathrooms are beautiful! And I'm now working with Mickey to plan the renovation of my kitchen, powder room, and floors!
