Description of Work: We've been using Evans for over 4 years. They do our regular lawn mowing and they also do regular leaf removal and fall/spring trimming and clean ups for us. I've been very happy with them. They are reliable and do a good job. I do agree that they aren't super fast on responses, but they do respond. Dave Evans is the owner. When you call, his cell phone number is on the answering machine. If you call his cell, he either answers it or gets back to you. Another thing I like about them, is that in the summer, if it's really hot and the yard hasn't grown much, and doesn't need cutting, they won't cut it just to charge you. I usually change my schedule to twice a month in the summer months, and that has not been an issue. Our lawn cuts are $38, which I think is reasonable. The mulching and clean up services are reasonably priced also. After a big storm one year, we had all kinds of debris in the yard, and he was able to send his crew out to clean it up within a day or two for us.

Description of Work: I placed an initial call to Evans Lawn Service in April. Was looking for a spring yard clean-up and mulching. A very nice woman took all of my information and said Mr. Evans would contact me the next day. He called approximately two weeks later, and by then I was in the midst of another home improvement project. I missed his call, so we played phone tag for a few rounds. He didn't return my last call to him, which was sometime in early May. Then I tried one last-ditch call in late May, leaving a message to let him know I wanted to work with his company because it was well rated on Angie's List and near our home. Never received a return call. Very disappointing.

Description of Work: I called for a yard clean up estimate. About 2 weeks later I got a call back. They said the man who does the estimates was out of town, had just returned and would probably be over later in the week. Never heard from them or got anything in writing. Another 2 weeks pass and Evans left a message at my work for me to call back. At that point I had already hired someone else so I didn't respond. They did call me again, and I told them I didn't need their services. They should've kept me informed of their timeline. I thought they didn't want the job.

Description of Work: I have been using Evans for my regular lawn cutting for about 3 years now. Their prices are fair and their guys come very reliably. One of the things I loved, was when it was very hot and dry in the summer, if the grass looked dry or hadn't grown a lot, they would come but not mow. I appreciate that they didn't mow just to collect their money, but skipped it so as not to damage my lawn. I usually change my service to bi-weekly over the summer and have no problem making that change. They also do my spring mulching and clean up and do my fall leaf cleanup. My only issue with them has been the speed at which my calls/requests get returned, but their prices are very fair and the work is timely and done well.

Description of Work: We just moved to the area and needed a company to mow our lawn regularly, as well as remove some yard debris left by the previous owner. I had talked to other companies and Evans was by far the most reasonable and responsive. While I was waiting on the weekly mowing estimate, they put me on their schedule to mow based on an hourly fee. Once I received the estimate, it was very reasonable. We don't have a deck out back yet and they even moved all my lawn furniture chairs around to mow around and under the table, and put them back.
