I thought they did the job well but a bit perfunctorily. For example, the work they did on the stairs were nice but there are some spots where it looks dry and which during the initial visit seemed to suggest could be fixed (ie, there is a slight gap in the wood that the main estimator said was easy to fix but I have no idea how to do it and I am reluctant to take a hammer to it). So, yes, fine job but it would have been an A if someone had come afterwards to look over the job answer the small questions remaining after they were completed.

My floors look much better. However, the product Atlas used was not veratane (spelling), so the coating is not as thick or heavy as I expected.

Jay was on time, with good estimate and started as we needed.

I bought a Big Deal for $349 to sand & refinish 200 sq ft of hardwood. Within a day, Atlas contacted to set up an appointment to provide us with an estimate. Mike came by on April 9th & said that we would need water-based finish & not the oil-based because he said that our dining room, which is adjacent to the living room, was finished with a water-based finish. When Shannon emailed the estimate, the cost jumped to an additional $165. I was shocked because we only had an 11 sq ft, that I knew we had to pay for. The bulk of the additional cost was $50 for using water-based instead of oil-based poly and $87.50 to removed & install regular shoemolding. I had no idea that water-based poly would cost us extra since it would be substituting the oil-based, which came with the Big Deal, with the water-based poly. We wanted to keep cost to a minimum, so we just went with the oil-based poly & just paid for the extra 11 sq ft of finish. There was really no difference after the work was done between the dining & living room, so I'm glad we just went with the oil-based instead. The people who came were very professional & finished very quickly over 2 days. They covered the doorways with plastic sheeting to prevent the sand from flying into other areas. The living room looks very nice with the new finish.

It went very well. We provided the wood, but they showed me how they needed to provide some wider wood to match to older wood (which had been installed 60 years ago when the wood was still wet and had shrunk. They did a beautiful job. You can't tell where the new wood starts and the old wood ends. It all looks new. They showed up on time, they did the work with very little mess (considering all the sanding), and very few fumes. The work was done on time, and within budget (plus the extra wood). But even the extra wood didn't cost much as I was able to return some of the wood I had purchased. I have more floors to refinish and I fully intend to have Atlas do it.

The two-man crew who performed the work was excellent. They were punctual, courteous, cleaned up the area before leaving and I am perfectly happy with the work they performed. A contract was emailed to me to sign and return, which I did via email, including a note asking that they contact me to schedule the work. 24 hours passed with no call, so I called them. My call to the business number printed on the contract was answer by a male, who did not identify himself. When I asked if he was the person who had come to my house to measure the area, he said no, that must have been "Mike" and gave me another number to call. the Friday before the work was to be performed I called the office number again. This call was answered by a female, who did not identify herself. I said I was calling to confirm my appointment for the following day and also to ask how long they workmen would be on site and also, how long the 2nd visit would take and if that was scheduled for "first thing" the following day. She told me the [the workmen} could answer those questions for me when they arrived. The work performed was first rate, but dealing with office personnel was less than satisfactory. Whenever I contacted them, via email or phone, I felt as they they just wanted to pass me off to someone else.

Atlas came and gave me an estimate. They brought samples with them. After weighing pros and cons, we decided to go with a floating floor system. Their crew came and ripped up the old floor (this was EXTREMELY difficult as it was glued down). They installed the new floor. The floor looks great, they did a fabulous job. Someone from another vendor dropped something on the new floor and dented it, so ATLAS came back out and replaced a few boards. You can't even tell that anything happened. I am picky about quality and these guys really exceeded my expectation. They were clean, responsive, timely, etc...

It has held up well with no cupping or irregularities. They did a satisfactory job, and I would use them again. I called them back to add trim on a small area that was missed, and they were responsive. I supplied the bamboo flooring.

Estimator came out when promised to my mother's home which was being upgraded to put on the market due to her deat., He took measurements and discussed what would be done to floors. We agreed to everything and work statred within a couple of days. Hardest part of job for workers was the removal of some very old rubber matting that was under wall to wall carpeting covering hard wood floors. Job was completed on time and overall I was very pleased.

I am very pleased with the work done by Atlas Floors. Very responsive and listened to my concerns. The only problem I had was they showed up late 2 out of 3 days.

The job got off to a rocky start because the workmen had some trouble with their vehicle on the morning the job was supposed to start, which translated into a longer day than was originally discussed, but after this minor hiccough, everything couldn't have gone more smoothly. We are so happy with the results of the work and the attention to detail. Every inch of the floor, which included areas under appliances that will not even be visable, was stained perfectly. The shoe molding was applied very well and no scrap pieces were used. Mike, the owner, even had the guys come by a couple days after the job, to repair and area of the floor that I had scratched, without charging anything extra! We have a lot more flooring in the house that needs to be tended to and also an area that we want to install new hardwood floor and we will definitely be using Atlas Floors in our future!

The service was great. The guy who came out was nice and knowledgeable. They seemed to know what they were doing and they were recommended to me by a friend. They sent the estimate within a day of coming out to my home.

It turned out good. They were the best value for the service. We were really happy with their work. I have recommended them since this work. They cleaned up after themselves really well and kept a messy job as clean as they could.

We did not end up using their service as I was not able to find a color of wood that I was happy with. The guy that came out was very nice.

They used a dustless system when doing the work. We were very pleased with the work. They matched the color exactly. They started and finished on time. The pricing was very competitive. They exceeded our expectations.

Atlas was very easy to work with from start to finish. They were one of the few floor companies willing to do the piecing in work we wanted in the kitchen. (Other companies wanted to replace then entire floors in the kitchen and dining room.) They did a beautiful job on the piecing, supplying maple to match our existing floor. They then sealed and coated the kitchen and dining room floors, and put sealer and 3 coats on the living room floor. They will finish the dining room/kitchen once the kitchen renovation is done. We have been very pleased with their work so far. They were accommodating of our schedule (which changed a few times based on our contractor's schedule). They showed up when they were supposed to and were clean and careful in their work. We definitely would hire them again and would recommend them to friends.
