Atlas Wood Floors

Another beautiful job by Atlas. About 8 months ago, they finished about 1,200 SF of flooring on the first level of my home. They did such a great job, that I had them do the install and finishing on the second level of my home, and they did not disappoint. The quality of both the install and finishing are top notch, and reasonably priced. I have had lots of different trades in my home over the past year for various aspects of renovation, and all the others fall into either the "would never hire them again" or "work was adequate" categories. Atlas is the only one that I can say met my, admittedly, very high standards. I have one more level to go, and will absolutely be calling Atlas again.

Based on the reviews and the Angie's deal, I contacted Atlas and arranged for a in-home estimate to refinish our 50 year old oak floor. Andrew made himself available almost immediately to come to our home and to provide us with an estimate for the job. The estimate was available the next day and the work was scheduled for the following month. The original estimate was that the work would take three days. On the morning the work was to commence, the crew of three arrived right on time and immediately set up to begin the work. The crew was very experienced and the work progressed through the day. The crew was extremely polite and worked through out the day. The leader of the team explained that there had made so much progress, that they would complete the work the following day. Again, right on time they completed the installation of the shoe molding and applied the final coat of the poly.Throughout the job the house was keep clean and the work progressed, without breaks. I can't say enough on how satisfied we were in working with Atlas. I have already recommended them to our real estate broker. An A+ job!

We originally ordered the $499.00 Angies Big deal for refinishing and 2 coats of polyurethane varnish for our wood floor. However, because of the high traffic area, it was advised that we used 3 coats. The process from the initial meeting with Andrew went smoothly and he was accommodating when we needed to push the start date back. The first day, the crew arrived on time and promptly and set to work, first in blocking off the area to be worked on and then the sanding and we were shown samples of a stain on a newly sanded area. The chosen stain and first application of varnish was applied and an hour later a second application of varnish was done and left to dry overnight. The following day, another crew came, again on time and they immediately set to work on the floor with a light sanding, cleaning of any residue dust and application of the 3rd coat of varnish. Another overnight drying and the finished result is just beautiful, bringing back to life, a very tired and aged wood floor. The two crews, of two men each, were polite, friendly, cleaned up after themselves and were professional in every way. We recommend Atlas Floor without hesitation and we plan to use their service at a later date.

Very profession job. They removed the original carpeting and pad and did a great job of installing the flooring. Very courteous and cleaned up after the job. Highly recommend these folks!

The work took longer than expected which was no problem. The overall look is good but I gave the install quality a grade of B based upon many places in the floor that have noticeable end to end board gaps that could have easily have been minimized, and several places where the adjacent board overlap was sub optimal.

They provided terrific service from estimate appointment to clean up. Very little dust on anything due to their careful covering of cabinetry and doorways. Very professional service and they made sure that I was apprised of every step and that I had a chance to review my choice of stain colors prior to application.

I only wanted to work with a company that specialized in wood floors and had some experience with the Rubio Monocoat product. I did a ton of research on companies and contacted several. I made the decision to go with Atlas based on their reviews, experience, responsiveness and price. From the initial appointment through the completion of the work, they did not disappoint. I'm thrilled with the floors. I will be replacing the flooring on the 2nd level of my home with the same White Oak in a few months and will definitely use Atlas again. We had the flooring on the 1st level installed by a family member that is a professional flooring installer, but I will likely hire Atlas to do the install on the 2nd level as well as sand and finish. The Crew, Supervisor (Jimmy) and Owner (Mike) were all great. Professional, reasonably priced ... can't go wrong with these guys.

Atlas Wood Floors did a great job for us. They were very punctual, turned around a quote very quickly and then got the work done in a timely manner. They went out of their way to work with us as we were not currently living at the home. We actually felt safe enough with them to just give them a key and let them come and go and they needed to. At the end of the day the floors look great. We have more floor work coming up this spring and will definitely use them again.

They sanded and refinished wood floors in kitchen and adjacent family room of our guest house. They were very responsive, punctual, pleasant, and professional. I was delighted with their work. We told them that they didn't have to return after the job to replace furniture, but they came back anyway! The job cost approx $1,000.00, which was a little over the Angie's List Big Deal price due to extra square footage. I would absolutely hire them for another job.

They were prompt, did a good job. They replaced the molding around the floors – I hadn’t expected that. They also stripped paint off the banister, which was a welcome extra.

They were professional and experienced, though the discount on materials was rather offset by the high labor cost. Also, I think they laid new wood over stair treads that could have been refinished instead. I may try to do the basement stairway myself, on my own, because the estimate was high on doing it the way I was proposing.

We did use them 15 years ago and we had our floors done with them. They did a really good job for us, but it was a long time ago. They did do an incredible job though. They sanded, stained, and polyurethane down the entire stairs, walkways and some of the rooms. They were very neat about it and it lasted a very long time. We had not had any problems with them. They came on time and did what they said they were going to do. They used the proper materials that it lasted a long time for us. They were professional, punctual and did what they promised. If I were to ask for someone to do our floors again, we would ask them to come out to do our floors at our new house if we needed them to be done.

They have been terrific. We used them about 18 months ago. They installed some new wood flooring and restored some very old flooring for us. A crew came out to do the work. We have used them for a few years in the past for different residence. They are great to work with and if there is an area that we need to have them come back to work on they always do. They always have good pricing too. Mike is one of the owner and he is a pleasure to work with.

They did a wonderful job. We would recommend them. They were great, they tidied up afterward and did everything as necessary. We had our hardwood floors refinished. They did this in an fast about of time. They did this in just in our sun roof due to Hurricane Sandy and the water damage; they did an excellent job. That was the first time that we ever used them and If I had to use them again I definitely would. They also had good pricing and were most reasonable. I really like that they were punctual.

They were going to do some refinishing work on our hardwood floors on our main floor. I have gotten an estimate from them. Everything was all fine and good. I am in the process of renovating my home and I have heard good things about them and I heard about them from word of mouth.
