A&B Luck has been my plumber for 14 years at my home. In 2009 when my water heater broke and they convinced me to install a Noritz Tankless System. All was fine until 2013 when it stopped working and needed to be descaled. At that time I also had to replace an expensive mechanical part as well. A week ago the same error code came up and I called them to descale it again. After they left still no hot water. They returned the next morning. I presented the technician with a handout regarding the descaling procedure that I printed off the Noritz website and after reading it, he admitted that he had not done the procedure according to these instructions. He then went to the machine and said he would descale it again. Still no luck. I asked him to call Noritz technical support which he did. They asked him to adjust manifold pressures with a digital manometer which he did not have. The technician called Dave in the office and his response was that he was not going to invest in that tool! Are you kidding me? This company put in a $4200 machine and then won't spend $200 to support a repair on it?! This company should never have installed a product that they had no interest in learning how to maintain. The system should have been descaled yearly. Now I potentially have multiple other expensive repairs on an already hefty investment. Noritz recommended a new company who found multiple issues with the installation as well. This company may be competent at providing other plumbing services and I would agree with many of your ore reviews until now. The way they have handled this issue for me after a good relationship for 14 years has certainly made me question their professionalism, integrity and competence and should give caution to others as well.

We sprung a pin hole leak in our main line in a part of the plumbing that could not be shut off. With no way to shut the leak off we were looking at a real problem. Call A & B Luck, explained the problem and they sent the first available truck. They evaluated the problem and correct on the spot avoiding a major problem.

AB Luck did a good job coming out and installing the new water heater quickly and the serviceman addressed all my questions and was very professional.

They were very professional. They gave us a couple of different options. They were also timely and they did the work in the specific amount of time. We like them very much and we are going to use them again.

I have used A&B Luck for close to 15 years and will continue to use them. I had a Reverse Osmosis system installed by them and filters replaced. I've also had them replace a water heater. I will continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

They are always on time. They do a very good job and are reasonably priced. They are very reliable. They would do exactly what they say they would do, and the individuals that do the work are very trustworthy, personable, and professional.

I called and they gave me a quote over the phone. I asked them to come out and they arrived the next day on time. The repair was done quickly and professionally. The price came in just under the quote. I was very happy with the whole experience and will use them again.

I've used them several times in the past and they did a good job. They did it quickly and efficiently and they charged a reasonable price. I thought it was a good price.

A business that we know that we can count on and without being over-charged, especially for emergencies (which have naturally occurred). Of course, over all these years we have been lucky to be able to mostly use the same plumber for most all of the work done, but other than one time when they had a new trainee (though he did not last long, which is another reason we like them: they do not seem to keep those who do not know what they are doing, etc.) all work has always been spot on. They are punctual , call to remind us when certain maintenance needs to be done (since we never can keep track of everything), and each plumber who has come here to do work knows what he is doing. They also recommend things that they see that need to be fixed, but do not push anything on us. But what is very important to us is reliability and integrity. Hard to find in a lot of these type of businesses.

I recently needed to have a water heater replaced. They were there promptly and did an excellent job. Another person actually came to see if the person there needed extra help on his way back to their office. They exhibit teamwork across the board! I am having them repair my main level shower in the next few weeks.

I had a new hot tub delivered and when we turned on the water to clean the area it was to sit in the pipe started leaking into the wall. I called A & B Luck Plumbing and they said they could take care of it the next day. They gave me an estimate of $250 for the repair and a two hour window for the plumber to arrive. They were a bit early (they called to make sure this would work for me first) and had the job done quickly and efficiently. The work came in just under the estimate. I will definitely call them again if we need a plumber.

I called A and B Luck Plumbers in Damascus, MD because my water heater was leaking. As always, I knew that I could trust this company to come in a timely manner and do the job right. The plumbers replaced the water heater and I was satisfied with the results. I have used this company for plumbing problems for over 20 years as they are professional and honest.

A & B Luck Plumbing gave me an estimate to install a water line with a water filter to my new refrigerator May 2012. The plumber recommended I use an in-line filter for my water filter. I hired them to do the work Oct. 2012. Two men came out to do the job. Both were knowledgeable and professional. After the work was complete. I asked the plumber to watch me change the filter so I would know how to do it. There was a problem putting the new filter back in the water line. The plumber went back to the shop and pick up another one and installed it. I think the only thing I would have done differently would be to pick out a water filter where the replacement filters are easier to install. All in all I am pleased with the work they did. The estimate I was given in May was lower then the actual cost of the work done.

They do good work. They respond properly to your problem.

We had a very slow leak that was seeming to come from over our furnace. During the day it would be dry but every morning there was a small puddle. We called Erie Insurance and an adjuster came and told us our shower floor was defective from neglect. She sent an engineer the next day, who agreed with her. Nothing has been able to dissuade them from this diagnosis. However, after not using the shower and the leak continuing, we looked for other causes - the roof vents, for instance. Wheaton Door and Window (had replaced our roof shingles 2 years ago) reps went up on the roof to inspect, found all was well, and did so for no charge. We called AB Luck (a plumber we always call and have always been satisfied with) and they promptly came and tracked the leak to a copper pipe that ran under the shower floor and connected with another pipe located between two walls. Since the furnace is situated just below the pipe, the only way to repair it was to punch a hole in the shower floor to be able to guide the new pipe into position. The leak was gone. But now there was a hole in the shower. Andgie's List had a coupon from the Tile Center for $2,350 for $5,000 worth of work. I have written another review on that project, which went very well. We are not happy with Erie Homeowners Insurance.

The plumber arrived at my house on time, was polite, and completed the work in a professional manner. The total project took about 45 minutes to complete, and the company honored a coupon that I found on their website.

His prices were incredibly high. He wanted $1400 to change our well pump. Since a pump only costs $300, that was about $550 an hour for labor, since it is no more than a 2 hour job. When we said no, he still charged us $144 for the estimate, which took a whole 15 minutes. We ended up changing our well pump ourselves for $300 and some sweat equity - it only took us about 2.5 hours.

Work went well. We'll definately use them again.

A contractor working on our house turned off the main water, then when they turned it back on it started leaking. They tried to charge us first $1,100 to fix and then said they were giving us a deal by charging us $800. I looked on Angie's list and found A&B Luck Company as a highly rated nearby company. They were at the house within 24 hours, we had anticipated they would have trouble finding the main shut off valve in the yard so had found it ourselves under about 6 inches of soil using a metal detector. The only hiccup I have is that they replaced the copper pipe with PVC and I don't know why or why they needed to use PVC instead of copper, and did not reconnect the ground wire that was originally connected to the copper pipe they replaced. We did not call them back to discuss either of these questions, there may be legitimate reasons and we may end up calling them to find out what to do about the wire but right now we're just trying to get through a miserable remodel. The receipt they left was a detailed accounting of the charges and I really like that. Final price was more than the $225 to $250 estimate I was given over the phone which was unexpected, we had mitigated any of the possible upcharges they had mentioned by finding the shut off ourselves and double-checking that neither valve was pressure-reducing. Regardless of the slight cost discrepancy this is the company I plan to be calling for our plumbing needs in the future.

The overall service call went very well. I would call A&B Luck again. Tim explained to me that A&B Luck has been in business a long time. Many of their employees have been with the company many years. Tim has been there 24. So there is company loyalty and continuity with the service they provide

Very well. Tim spent about an hour and a half troubleshooting the pipes to determine the specific pipe that was leaking. It was difficult because there are several pipes that go up from the basement through a wall (I live in a split level house) The wal is where the house is split and where both bathroom have the water lines fed to. He gave me two scenarios depending on how the pipe would be accessed through the shower stall - one cheaper than the other. Fortunately, the cheaper route was able to be traveled saving a lot of labor time (and money) Tim had a call that was an emergency call so he said he or someone would be back on the following Tuesday to fix it.Since I have another bathroom with a shower I was not feeling inconvenienced and the other call was more urgent than mine. At least at that point the water was turned off to the shower and did not pose a problem nor was I unable to do other things in the house that required water - laundry dishes, flushing toilet, etc. Tuesday a young man named Josh came out and di the work which took about 2 1/2 hours. He cleaned up the shower from the fiberglass cutting and the plate install. Both Tim and Josh were friendly and professional.

The bid was sent to us within 24 hours of looking at the job and they were very accommodating with our schedule when we set up the actual work dates. The work area was left clean at the end of the day, and since they had to jackhammer the floor to move the drain that was no small task. We were extremely happy with the work that was done and will use them again. I would highly recommend their services.

They come here a couple of times a year. I have had them in the past to do big things. They are very prompt and tend to come pretty quickly. In general they have done a good job. Some of them who come out are very competent and some of them are not that competent. They show up on time and call if something comes up.

Their customer service is great. When we needed them out, they came right away. They did not charge anything extra for that. We have been using them for years. I would definitely use their service in the future too.
