Had a shower head that continuously dripped water. I called Mahon Plumbing on Monday, and they came out Tuesday morning. Unfortunately the first fix they tried didn't work, so they had to come back later on that day once they had bought parts specific to my shower. Overall, it was a good experience. Would have liked them to call back more quickly to schedule the second appointment, and there seemed to be some confusion as to which number to call: my work or cell number. However, I was very happy that they came back later that day to fix the problem so I didn't have to take more time of later in the week.

Great! Called on Monday, they gave me a servcie window from 8 - noon for Tuesday. Plumber showed up at 9:30 and fixed everything efficiently and flawlessly. Great experience and I finally met "Joe the Plumber"! I would recommend and use Mahon Plumbing again.

They never showed up! I made an appt for 8 am to noon and then called at 8 am to try and get a more pinpointed timeframe. They said they'd call me back, but I waited until 11 am to get a call from the tech saying, I'm running behind schedule and will be there between 12 and 12:30. 1 pm comes around so I call the main number and cancel. I had too much stuff to take care of in the afternoon to continue waiting around and who knows how long the fix would take once they got here? Besides, I was so frustrated I didn't want to give them my business anymore.

At first I was looking for a tankless replacement for my old water heater. I had heard they were more economical and easier to live with when compared to traditional tank systems. Greg Mahon was one of 4 contractors I contacted and he was one of 2 that came out to look my house and the space I proposed to have the tankless system installed. He quickly determined that due to limited space and limited gas service to my house a tankless system would be more trouble than was worth the nominal lifetime savings. I was skeptical that he might be misleading me but he patiently answered all of my questions and in the end I understood his reasoning. His men showed up about a week later and all has been great sense. I will absolutely call them again when I need a plumber and would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone else.

OK. Plumber showed up on time and did the work in a reasonable anmount of time. I had reservations about replacing copper pipe with plastic pipe and the use of solderless connectors. He spent a good amount of time trying to explain why it was OK, but I wasn't toally convinced. I let him go ahead and do the work as he recommended. He also offered to follow-up with his management about some other work I needed to have done and get back to me. Never heard from him. The plastic pipes now "click" sometimes when I use hot water. I will probably give them a call to find out why and what they can do about it. The quality of the work he did was good, but I'm not sure about the technical merits of what was done. I also make it a practice not to do work with a company that doesn'y follow-up on commitments.

They did a great job. He was clean, courteous, and nice to my kids. He called when he was on his way and kept me updated on his progress. He was a bit chatty, which I wondered about as plumbers get paid by the hour. However, having someone I trusted in my home was really a plus. I'd hire them again.

They were good. They came out the same day so that was nice. The person who came seemed to know what he was doing. It was just a simple fix on the hot water heater so that wasn't too complicated. He managed to get it done quickly and for not very much money. I don't remember how much they charged me but they were one of the few that didn't charge me just to come out and check it out.

Had a leaky hot water inlet valve underneath bathroom sink. First plumber came and replaced the valve. A new leak formed in the piping itself; second plumber from Mahon came out two days later and tightened what the first plumber accidentally loosened with the activity of replacing the valve.

This year we noticed the tell tale signs of the back up starting -- the downstairs toilet would gurgle and fill up from the use of the upstairs shower. We called Mahon at roughly 1 pm that day and they were at our home by 5pm that same evening to get to work cleaning the drain. This man really put his back into it, but, this year, there was just more growth than he could successfully clear, because it appeared that the line itself had shifted. He called the company owner that evening, gave us a quote, and taking into consideration how long we'd been customers gave us a very fair estimate. They showed up at 8 am on the dot the next morning, got the permits needed, started with the process of finding the location of the line and then digging down to it. No easy task. There are concrete steps and a retaining wall area that they successfully dug around and tunneled through with no damage to the existing structures, which considering the fact that these stairs need work, was pretty amazing. The company owner himself came out first thing with the crew, explained the process and got the crew started setting up while he himself got the permits finished up. He came out twice more during the course of the day to make sure things were going okay. To be honest, I don't know if these guys ever took any real "breaks" at least one of the three working the site were busy with something the entire time they were there. No lagging about. They had the excavation done, drain laid and connected, the dirt backfilled, the yard re-seeded with straw laid out, my porch and stairs and front walk were swept and cleaned by 4:30 that same day.

THE TECHNICIAN SEEMED VERY NICE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE WAS ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT HE THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS BY LISTENING TO WHAT I SAID AND HE DIDN'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING. HE WAS GOOD. I THOUGHT THE PRICE OF THE VISIT WAS HIGH FOR HIM TO COME OUT AND NOT TOUCH ANYTHING AND TELL ME THE PROBLEM BY ME EXPLAINING THE SMELL. HE WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES.
