LOWE'S

I had an estimate from someone who was going to charge me substantially more. I was suggested to go to Lowe's and I went up there. I called them and went in. The assessed what the issue was and they recommended. i got a six year warranty with the installation. The technician that came out was a local subcontractor here in the area. He's very professional. The price was about $400 cheaper than the initial estimate. I was very pleased.

They mostly have things in stock. What they don't have, you can order and pick it up at the store, with no shipping fees. It's convenient and works for us. It's the only hardware store we have in the area. We get everything we needed there with little or no problems. Their prices are pretty reasonable. You have to hunt people down to get them to help you. You have to go searching on a quest for customer service. If we have a complaint, they deal with them. Everything else besides customer service isn't too bad. The level of professionalism there varies widely.

We had arranged for in store pick up of the item once it arrived from the cabinet maker. That went without a hitch. Got the cabinet home and there was some final assembly required for which the parts were not packed in the box. The first call about this was handled by a Lowe's employee and the manufacturer denied that the parts were left out of the box. We called a second time and this time were placed in a conference call with the manufacturer and the problem was resolved. In fact, they ended up shipping additional hardware for the sliding shelves. We now have a beautiful and functional pantry for our very small kitchen.

I visited the Lowes store on Saturday Oct 25 and scheduled appointment for 0800 on Oct 28 for a Project specialist to help assess insulation options for a home in Cresaptown. Waiting at the property in Cresaptown, no one arrived. At 815 I called and left a message with Kevin Jones to inquire about the appointment. About 0840, Kevin called me to let me know he could not make the appointment. He then indicated he would call me back later in the day to reschedule. I did not get a return call.
