The tree had insects on it, and it was a nutrient efficient. It worked very well, and saved the tree. It just one guy, and he was an excellent worker.

It was very easy working with Ballard Enterprises. They were helpful and very truthful. Our tree was close to power lines so BGE had to get involved. Ballard was very upfront and told us this would cause the work to be delayed. We understood and were patient. The hold up we had with our job was from BGE not from Ballard. As soon as BGE cleared us for the work to proceed Ballard was there. The tree came down and was cut into pieces in just a few hours. The next day they came back to grind the stump.
Ballard's price for all this work was more reasonable than any other company we contacted. We are very pleased with the work Ballard did for us, and we will certainly use them again.

We had a large pine tree fall in our yard, and it was time to trim the other trees, so we purchased an Angies List deal, $1799 for 8 hours of tree service. When the arborist came out to assess the work, my husband could readily tell that he knew what he was doing, unlike the last company we had hired. The crew arrived on the agreed upon date and worked despite rainy weather, until it was too dangerous to continue. They came back about a week later to finish their 8 hours. They did a very good job. We paid an extra $250 to have the stump of the fallen tree ground up. We still have some trees that the crew was unable to get to during their time, but definitely plan on having them come back.

"Sir: You signed a contract with us on 4/14/16. Your contract said 30 days before we would start the work, because that was our current backlog. That was explained to you on the day the contract was given. On 4/28 at 1:13pm (according to our computer system that is tied to our phones) we informed you that you were scheduled for May 3. You said that was great and you were happy it was being done before you left the country on 5/7/16. On May 2, you called us and asked us to delay the project until your return, which we happily did. We scheduled the work for 6/3 at your request and completed it on that date."

Ballard was awesome! We needed a very old, and large maple tree removed. It was dying from the inside. The limbs and branches hung over into the neighbors yard and were intertwined in the electric lines and the neighbor's pine tree. We also needed the work completed before having a new shed built the next month. Ballard was not only able to complete the work the next week, but they also coordinated with Miss Utility and BG&E beforehand. Everything went so smoothly. It was incredible. The crew was very professional and cleaned everything up spotless. We asked for them to also remove a large portion of the tops of some overgrown bushes and also to plant a dogwood tree. Everything turned out better than expected and the 6 foot dogwood is now flowering and looks very healthy. Ballard Enterprises is really a one-stop-shop. I think the most shocking part was that they did not ask for a deposit beforehand. We were told that we only pay when the work is completed and done to our satisfaction. That was a very pleasant surprise and shows in the company's confidence and ability to do a great job. I plan on calling them to do some landscaping in the front yard in the near future.

First appointment was rescheduled due to inclement weather. Rescheduled service was delayed on day of appointment as the company had a priority call prior to our appointment. Crew was professional and friendly. Original appointment was to have the canopies of two trees trimmed. When the crew arrived and assessed the trees, they informed that one tree had shallow roots and made an offer to take the tree down and trim the canopy on the other tree. The company's Arborist who made the initial visit earlier in the month to determine the estimate cost also mentioned that at some point the tree would most likely have to come down due to shallow roots. There was an increased cost to take the tree down which made sense as it wasn't included in original estimate. We made the decision to take the tree down. The crew did a good job and were very thorough in make sure we were happy with the job they had done. They did a good job of cleaning up the debris from the yard. We would hire them if future work needed.

I took advantage of Ballard's 4 person 8 hour two truck (brush and chipper) offer. The assessment of the property and seven trees was done very well by the company. He mentioned that there was quite a bit of work but it could be completed in the allotted time. To save the workers time I offered that many of the large pieces could be left on the property but the brush would need to be removed. This statement and all identified work was clearly documented in the contract. Just to make sure both trucks would be provided I called two days ahead to confirm the fact. The workers arrived on time but only with one materials truck because the truck manager thought the contract said all materials could be left on site. Only after communicating with Mr. Ballard was the problem resolved. One of the workers had to leave to return with the chipper truck. I was promised an additional 45 minutes to the contract to make-up for the lost support. The three best trimmers remained and started work. Getting the second truck took longer than expected and the full crew was not on site until after two hours had passed. Once everyone was working the crew performed like a well oiled machine. The quality and professionalism of the workers was unquestioned. Unfortunately the late start and the 95 degree temperatures wore h****** the crew. As the "normal" stop time neared and with no announcement the crew started final clean-up with two trees still to go. We had to firmly confront the team lead that we still had time on the contract. We got one additional tree removed but did not get the full expected work from our agreement. This was a communications and management issue that caused these problems from the start. Unfortunately the innocent (the customer and the workers) were the ones who suffered.

"Sir: Thank you for taking the time to leave a fair review. I just wanted to clarify a few points. A time based offer NEVER has a guaranteed scope of work; it is simply an "hourly" rate. Of course we work as hard and fast as we can to get as much done as we can in the allotted time. Also, the original contract identified 4 trees that we would target during the allotted time, not 7. I'm glad that we were able to get 6 completed. Lastly, we did not bring the chipper because in the contract it reads verbatim: "leave all material in woods". Upon your request to only leave the larger material, we sent for the chipper and added additional crew hours to the end of the job at no additional charge. Overall, I'm glad that you had a positive experience. We sincerely appreciate your business and hope that was reflected in our attempts to go above and beyond to satisfy your requirements. Thank you again."

"Dear Customer: On January 23rd, 2015 (A full year before leaving this review) you purchased a verbal tree health and risk assessment. On that same day, we responded to you and set an appointment for Jan 30, which was 5 business days later, based on your availability. On January 30, an ISA Certified Arborist from Ballard Enterprises visited with you between 3:30-4:30pm. At that time, the arborist provided a ground-level, visual inspection and assessment of the tree and it was determined that the health of the tree could be improved by pruning. Nothing else was recommended at that time. My apologies if you found this assessment to be inadequate. Even though, it has been a full year and this review is the very first that I'm hearing about your concerns, I'd still be happy to try and resolve them to your satisfaction. This particular job was on the higher side compared to other jobs that we've done for you because we had to contract a 75 Ton crane to perform this job, given its hazardous and precarious nature. Entire job was very professionally completed. Rainy weather caused extending of scheduled date, but all work was performed in a timely manner. Work crews were professional, polite and very hard-working/energetic. Coordinated with BGE to minimize time power was out. Trees were safely cut down and removed from property with no damage. Outstanding clean-up to the point that you could hardly tell they had been here.
