Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for a full day of professional tree services for $1,799 from Ballard Enterprises, LLC. After a few days I contacted the provider and requested they come out to take a look at the property and what I needed done. I stated that I was willing to pay extra money to rent additional equipment for the downing of the dead tree in my back yard as well as remove some of the fence so they could drop the tree if needed. Their arborist took some pictures and told me he would get back to us. After a few days I received a message from the company asking me for my phone number to schedule the estimate. I replied with my number and let them know that someone from the company had come by last Thursday to conduct the estimate. I then received the following message from the company. They stated: My apologies, but we are going to pass on this job. Please contact Angie's list directly for a full refund. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly. Respectfully, Tim Ballard I have tons of questions but I will find someone that wants my business to ask them to.

Description of Work: They removed 4 dead trees from the property. I was very impressed that they laid plywood down to keep their equipment from digging up the yard. I have used them for years and have always been very pleased.

Description of Work: A tree they had cabled was damaged in a storm. Cabling is not really meant to keep limbs from falling and damaging things, but twice their work has done just that. They removed the damaged limbs and recabled the tree and pruned another. As before their cleanup is excellent. The crew is personable and nice to deal with.

Description of Work: The big deal that I purchased was a little misleading and I did not want the service after I spoke to the representative. He was very nice about it.

Description of Work: At three different times Ballad did tree removal for us. One of the times was a semi emergency situation where quick work was required and provided. One time there was routine tree work. A third time involved use of a crane to remove a tree on the property line. Ballard is always professional and does exactly what is required on time. Everything has always gone well. The price is not the lowest, but I checked into insurance on one occasion, and Ballard covers their employees better than others. Ballard is a quality organization. I am not sure of dates involved, but it has been around three years since the last work was done.

Description of Work: Dug and replanted two 8-foot tall fig trees from an overcrowded plot to larger and sunnier spots in the yard. Work was done within 24 hours and the price lower than I expected.

Description of Work: Ballard beautifully shaped the Magnolia tree that sits in the front of my home. They pruned and trimmed trees and shrubs blocking the view of a creek and wild life int he back of the house and they shaped the red maple on the opposite side of the house from the Magnolia. | |I am so pleased with the work. Description of Work: Ballard Enterprises trimed dead limbs from a very large oak tree and removed a large broken tree limb from the backyard. Arrived on time and removed all debris as contracted for. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Hired three man crew for seven hours. Only sent one of the crew to climb trees. Therefore two of the crew were very inefficient. Did not complete tasks estimated by the salesperson.

Description of Work: Trimmed 1 medium tree and 1 large tree, treated large tree for a disease and disposed of all branches. | |This was our 2nd time using Ballard and we were very pleased on both occasions. | |NOTE: This service was pricey because of the treatment of the diseased tree. When we used them only for tree trimming back in 2007, our price was along the $500 range.

Description of Work: They removed two large trees. Grinding of stump for second tree had to be done on another day. I waited on the second scheduled day and it didn't get done until the next business day. A phone call to let me know they wouldn't make it on the second day would have been nice. Overall, the work was performed well.

Description of Work: Ballard Enterprises removed one dead tree and thinned out and shaped 11 other living trees in order to allow better light and air circulation and improve growth potential. They cleaned up and removed all trimmed parts, showed up on time and were extremely responsive when I asked various questions. I have used Ballard several times and they have always done a superlative job.

Description of Work: Our river birch was trimmed back from the neighbor's house and from our family room roof. The men did a great job and left the area clean of debris. We are very satisfied.
