They were very professional and polite and did a great job. This is the second time I've used Ballard and each time they've done a great job.

They did a great job with the tree. They shaped it nicely and removed enough limbs to allow light to shine through to the grass below. They completed the work as promised and cleaned up after themselves. Everyone I dealt with (appraisal and scheduler) was professional.

Everything went fine. Work done well, in a timely fashion at a fair price. Complete clean up afterwards. What more could you ask? By the way, I have used this company previously with the same positive result.

Work went smoothly. Workers arrived on time. They spent 3 1/2 hours accomplishing the above tasks. They removed all debris.

Showed up when they said they would, were very efficient, cleaned up well, and put everything back where it belonged. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

They did a great job. Once they were up there, they asked specifically which limbs we wanted trimmed, and, at my husband's request, cut one more limb, but didn't increase the charge.

On April 4, 2013, Ballard Enterprises performed work involving 10 trees that needed attention. The crew started at the promised time and worked diligently and carefully. One 6 inch diameter dead oak in the back yard was cut down and the stump cut as low as possible. For two smaller American beech trees in the back yard, Ballard performed a crown thinning to promote light and air penetration and remove dead, diseased and broken limbs. For five large oak trees in the backyard (one up against the house), Ballard crews performed a crown cleaning of any dead, diseased and broken limbs. For a large oak in the front of the house, Ballard crews performed a crown cleaning of any dead, diseased and broken limbs. For one large American beech in the back yard, Ballard performed a crown thinning, removed any dead, diseased or broken limbs with a special emphasis to address limbs that were growing towards the back yard of a neighboring property. The Ballard crew hauled away all wood and thoroughly cleaned up the back and front yards and the street area near the driveway. The Ballard crew was always polite and respectful and asked questions if a specific aspect of the work required clarification.

Tim's team answered my call the Tues am of the Sandy and came right away. Our blocked street (tree and live wires) stopped him. We had the neighbors oak tree that uprooted and smashed 4 or our tall fir trees. The five trees were preventing us from getting our cars out. As soon as the neighborhood had a work-around the blocked road, Tim sent a small truck and experience guys to cut us out. Days later he returned with the big equipment to clean up the mess. We have used Ballard twice before ( another uprooted oak with Irene) and they were the best price, very knoweldgable, professional team . I trust them. Now, with their quick response to my need, I can't imagine every wanting to find a different tree service.the 4

Ballard was very prompt in providing an estimate. Then, they worked with me to find the right time to perform the work as I wanted to fit my being there into my travel schedule. On the day of the job, I also asked them to do a few additional tasks - these were quickly included. Ballad is a first class company. Their management and estimators are very professional in performing all work. I have used them before for a large tree removal where the nearest of the tree to the house required very delicate work to be performed. This they did with ease. The work was scheduled and the work team showed up on time. All removal and clean up activities were performed in an excellent manner and there was no need for call backs. Even in a job at the cost of this amount, there was no payments required to be made until all work was performed. I highly and confidently recommend Ballard.

Paul Fox came out and gave an estimate for the job. Initial price was a bit high but a lower price was negotiated with Tim Ballard based on two other bids for the work. Very professional and confident on their expertise as licensed arborists with all required insurance. Scheduling the work took longer than desired as they work off of an answering machine to field calls. On the day of the job, Paul and his crew arrived promply at 8 am to start working. They had 4 workmen and three trucks full of chain saws, ladders, rakes, a chipper, etc. to get the job done. They take their safey seriously as everyone wore a hard-hat. This is a sign of professional wisdom on the risks of this type of work and their care for their employees. Paul called my at noon to provide a detailed update on the work with an estimated time of completion. I arrived as they were cleaning up. All work was done according to the work agreement. This required them to climb 8 trees to thin them out and they look great. The removal of 4 trees and and stump grinding was completed and all debris was chipped and hauled away in their truck. Very good job raking and cleaning up after what must have been a mess around all of my 1.4 acre front and back yards. Ballard Enterprises may charge a bit more but they definitely put in the time, with a professional crew and did a quality job. I would recommend them to other customers and will use them again.

Ballard Enterprises were excellent in all respects from the estimate that Paul Fox gave me right through to the final cleanup. Ballard's estimate included all important information including licenses, insurance, and references. All work was explained to me in detail. Several shrubs and fence sections that had to be removed to get access to my backyard were replaced perfectly. Plywood protection was put down all the way from the backyard through the front yard to the street to protect my lawn and patio. Cleanup was perfect. Ballard was right on time for both the estimate and doing the work.

Pros: Knowledgeable and arrived promptly for estimate appointment. Reduced quote to competitive price after a brief negotiation. Cons: Initial price was too high. Did not follow up with promised scheduling phone call and did not ever return my phone calls after scheduling the initial estimate. Left an unexpectedly large mess after grinding up the stumps that cost me additional money to have another company come in and remove. Ballard was recommended to me by one of my neighbors who had used them. I explained the tight deadline for my tree removal to allow for other yard work. Paul, the estimator, agreed to try to meet the timeline and told me everything would be done in one day. However, no one ever called me to work with my schedule so I had to delay the other work (I called them at least twice to find out when the work was scheduled for, but no one returned my calls). I was willing to be flexible and would have simply delayed the tree work for a few weeks if needed, but there was no communication. When they did show up (Friday) they did not complete the work in one day (removed the pines and trimmed the other trees, but did not remove the stumps), but came back the following business day (Monday). When discoved the the work was incomplete, I called to ask that afternoon, but (big shock) never received a returned call. The trimming work was satisfactory, but the stump grinding left a large mess, which I had to hire another company to haul away, and they did not remove several large above ground roots.

This tree service did a very good job. The crew showed up on time and performed the task efficiently. They cleaned up extremely well. I will definitely use them the next time I have an issue with any of my trees.

Other than the initial confusion over the scope of work, the work was quite satisfactory. They took care of the issue with one phone call and I can't say it was them and not me that was confused. They did a good job, were polite and showed up when they said they would.

Excellent - Free estimate - showed up on time (in the rain with an umbrella), listened and wrote down notes. Gave clear estimate in detail. Accepted coupon from Mailer. Arrived on time for job and did a professional job with safety first and proper clean up.

The whole crew was professional and courteous and performed all services requested. After Tim came out and gave me the estimate on Saturday, his crew showed up exactly on time Monday morning. The work went just as he explained it to me and all work was accomplished with no noticeable damage to my yard.

Came right away for an estimate, but due to a lot of storm damage in our area, it took a few weeks for them to actually do the work, but I knew that at the time of the estimate. They cleaned up really well after themselves, even all the sawdust on the ground. They were very careful not to damage the plantings under the tree, even my heavy cast stone fountain.

Tim Ballard provided an estimate within 2 days of our request. Tim was right on time for our first meeting and and was very professional in detailing his plan to remove the trees. He also took the time to point out recommendations to protect other trees in our yard through proper trimming and care. Tim's estimate was very detailed and fair. Tim sent out his crew the very next day after we accepted his proposal. The work was done as per the proposal and the crew did a superb job cleaning up prior to departing. There was no debris left in the yard or on the street.
