I am very impressed with this company. Everyone I talked to was courteous and professional. The tree we had removed was hazardous and they were able to get it removed quickly to avoid any future storm damage. I cannot believe how neat they left my yard. I didn't even see one leaf from the tree that was removed! Ballard Enterprises will be our go-to for tree service from now on!

10 days after purchasing the deal I had not heard from Ballard at all, despite sending an email directly to them and also asking Angie's List to contact them. I checked emails often and phone messages, nothing. I need to get this work done, trees are damaging my roof....I can not continue to wait for Ballard Enterprises to be responsive. Asked Angie's for a refund....will look for another tree service.

I had to be out when the team arrived, but when I got back they had taken care of the priorities and were working their way down the list on the contract that the arborist and I had agreed upon. My team was Blake, and Nelson, and another man. Blake asked me about my preferences on work to be done after the prioritized jobs, and they got right to more pruning and thinning the trees that surround my lawn. They took out a dead tree in a stand in the front. (I live in the woods.) Blake explained what they were doing and why they didn't take more off a couple of trees (either for appearance or too much trauma to the tree). Nelson discovered a large dead tree over my shed that might cause me trouble soon and showed it to me. They did not have the equipment to work on that tree that day but I plan to have them back soon to take care of it. They were knowledgeable, polite, and worked steadily. -- And they chipped and took away all the debris.

They came out to look at the job. They provided an estimate which doesn't fit the budget right now. They seemed knowledgeable, they have professional arborists on staff. I will have to look at doing this project in the future.

Excellent. I received 3 quotes from different tree services. Ballard was the most upfront about costs, service options and insurance requirements. They were also the least expensive, but I would have gone with them anyway because I felt I could trust them to do a thorough and complete job. Because of the rain, they had to reschedule the service (as expected). They called as soon as they knew they couldn't perform the work in bad weather. They told us exactly what was going on, when they planned to come out and how long it would take them. They came when they said they would, maybe even a little early. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. They were honest, upfront about cost and services, and extremely professional. I wouldn't use anyone else.

There was some confusion and the arborist went to the wrong house. By the time, we figured out he had gone to the wrong house, he was too far away addressing other appts, and it was not feasible for him to come back. The receptionist contacted the owner to iinform him of the situation and he immediately came out to my house to honor the appt. I was truly impressed with his actions. I was also impressed with the level of knowledge and service he provided. His assessment was excellent and so we hired his company to come back and trim our tree. I would highly recommend this company.

The trucks pulled up at 8:00 AM ready to go to work. I was concerned as it began to pour rain and contacted their supervisor. He checked the weather radar and saw that it was going to clear up later in the day. The crew decided to do some minor jobs and return when the weather had cleared. Sure enough, they were back at 12:00 PM ready to get to work. They trimmed and cleared the canopy of a 35 year old maple tree. Three professionals worked diligently for 2 hours on this tree. It looked great when they were finished. They then worked on two smaller trees and did some minor storm damage trimming. The job was completed by 3:00 PM. I was especially excited to see that all branches were mulched on site and hauled away. They even raked all the leaf and small branch debris from the yard, washed down the driveway and left my yard looking amazing!!! The crew "chief" was very personable and professional. I truly appreciated their work ethic and willingness to take the time to produce quality work.

We purchased a deal for a day's worth (7 or 8 hours) of tree services at our house and when we got the estimate for the work the person making the estimate repeatedly told us that there would be no problem getting all the work we needed done completed in 7 or 8 hours. Which was probably true, but the crew performing the work kept telling us they were done with the work and then we'd go out and inspect the trees and point out numerous things that they hadn't done that were clearly noted on the work order. It just ended up taking pretty much all of our time that day to keep on top of the crew to make sure that all of the work was getting done, which seemed a little unprofessional. The work itself was so-so - because we were very specific with them about what we needed done.

The tree trimmers did a good job. They were very responsive to my wishes.

It was a cold day with snow on the ground. The men were there early. The company through in an extra man as well as a small BobCat like tractor to pic-up and haul the branches and limbs. All of this was extra and I was not charged for it! They finished the job in almost 1/2 a day! They cleaned up the wood chips as well. Their work was great! I woudl reccommend Ballard to a friend in a heartbeat.

We needed trimming of a tree that was overgrowing the top of the fireplace chimney. We had company coming in and we wanted to be able to use the fireplace. They made special effort to accommodate our need and I really appreciated that. They were not just a crew who came out and knew how to cut limbs. They also had an arborist who was there to evaluate how to save our crepe myrtles that they were trimming. We really like that tree and we wanted to continue to have it look nice after being trimmed. The job took about three hours and they took all of the debris with them as well. We are very pleased with what they did.

It went great! We have now contracted with the company to do some of the work that was identified. We will put off the lower priority items.

They were very communicative and pleasant. They arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. They were very efficient.

Overall excellent. Arrived on time, went through the inspection one tree at a time and explained what he was looking for, why which trees needed various things, and was happy to prioritize in terms of urgency/safety and did not try to suggest that every tree needed major surgery. Provided a written report on the spot, including individual price quotes for each tree that needs work. We have now engaged the company to undertake the actual trimming, as we felt the price for the trimming itself is competitive. The cost of the assessment itself seemed a bit high considering it how little time it took.

My fiance found ballard llc on angies list with an A rating. So we called to get an estimate for one tree to be cut down and to grind the stump. We told them we were keeping the wood for our neighbors so they didn't even have to haul the wood. Ballard showed up on time and gave an estimate of $2400.00! I knew that was outrageous. The next company Bay Area tree care came and gave an estimate of $1100.00. They are licensed and insured. They came back two days later took the tree down, ground the stump and cut the tree in 18 inch pieces. They made sure everything was to my approval before I paid. Now I don't know about you but l think Ballard was a little high. I can't imagine who would give them high marks. They are ripping people off. I suggest calling bay area tree care.

I purchased a deal with them. They emailed me to let me know that they do not service my area.

Owner responded promptly to review scope of work. Workers showed up on time and got to work. Job was completed with some time to spare. Overall I was pleasedwith the service.

He came out for the estimate and said it would be close to $2500. They wanted $1900 but Pepco was another $500. It was going to be very expensive so I decided to have the Big Deal refunded. They were punctual, they arrived at 7am as expected.

Updated: As a response, the first time I contacted the office, it was to pay the balance due because we had just received the late notice after being out of town. There was no "being firm" in order to get payment. The rudeness occurred after we had already been billed over 200% above the invoice due to office billing errors. I did speak to the owner and I was not terribly impressed. His 'concession' to the issue was to not charge me $35 to stop payment on a check that was sent instead of refunding my credit card.

Great. The two guys were a little early, got right to work and did a good job.

Ballard Enterprises contacted me after I bought an Angie's List special ($99 for $200 worth of work). I used the $200 voucher and contracted for approximately an additional $500 worth of work. I opted to delay having the tree stump grinding to save money. The owner said I could have that done a bit later for $150 per tree stump. The work was done in a very professional manner. The crew cleaned up after their work. They just did a great job! The owner contacted me by telephone and letter to thank me for patronizing his business. I would definitely recommend Ballard Enterprises to provide tree care and removal services.
