+ -1 moreArranged for a quote, they set a time for meeting at the house. Messaged me day of to find out where my house was, I responded immediately. I left work early to meet them, they never came nor returned my messages. Infuriating.

+ 0 moreIf you have a complaint they completely ignore you. Our kitchen is large so we had to have pieces put together but the FLOW of the grains on the gannet are horrible they are literally 90 degrees, and the seems are visible and you can feel it as well as there is a bump on the front. Also if water sites on the counter top it will stain the counter top....WATER. They are extremely nice and it is like they try to help but they are horrible at following up as well as keeping the customer in the loop. We spent $4,000 on an item that has lines that contradict themselves and what looks like a thrown together job, maybe if our counter tops were smaller then we would be more satisfied. I just wish they would do justice of this and make the job an A+.

Description of Work: Granite countertop installed on Nov 18, 2015. Two phone messages left in Nov & Dec no replies to the messages. The two installers could not speak English, communication was very difficult had no idea that backsplash had to be notched they were told nothing, we insisted that the backsplash be notched. Tim Donovan told us all would be done and installers would be instructed. In addition installers damaged reverse osmosis water system when removing, cost $65.00 to repair their damage, plumber charged $105.00 and his work was supposed to be included in the contract price, no covers used dirt everywhere in the kitchen and in the cabinet drawers installers had dirt and concrete on their shoes tracking it everywhere they went, no supervision whatsoever on this project, scratched countertop after making joint of 2 countertop sections, charged extra for credit card transaction only paid with one cc transaction other 2 transactions with a check, drilled hole to enlarge for faucet installation and dust went everywhere no vacuum used, after dust on new granite countertop installers wiped on sealer. After leaving 2nd message in Dec 2015 very busy for holidays and forgot about it until this reminder from Angie's List. Totally disappointed in the entire project.

+ 0 moreThe entire experience was excellent from start to finish. This was the first Kitchen remodel that I have been through and had no knowledge what so ever about the process of buying and installing granite. I went to three other sources and found that United Granit was the best choice for me. They had a showroom full of many beautiful slabs for me to chose from as apposed to having to go to a warehouse for my selection. Kathy Bradshaw, the Showroom Manager and Certified Interior Decorator was extremely helpful with the process, not only with the selection of the granite and guiding me through teach step of the process but also with suggestions for my floor which I was struggling with. The installation went flawless, the installers were very professional and had the job done within an hours time. The counters look Great and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend United Granite to anyone looking to buy and install granite.

+ -1 moreWe visited and/or contacted several granite suppliers in Maryland in advance of completing our outdoor kitchen. United Granite had a good selection of Granite on-site at their Crofton, MD location, and they gave us a good price, and just as importantly, were able to complete our project on our short time-frame. They were helpful, answered all our questions, and overall were just very responsive, timely, and professional. We found the perfect granite for our project! United Granite did everything they said they would do, on time. At the last minute we decided that we wanted extra granite for a backsplash, and to change the width on a section of the countertop, and they quickly accommodated. They installed the granite on a slightly uneven outdoor stone kitchen and it looks fantastic. They seem to have a very efficient system, and good communication between their customer service reps in the store, the measurement folks, and the installers. We would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Provided good information about various types/strengths of granite, answered a ton of our questions, showed us through their many isles of granite, scheduled the measurements and cutting very quickly, made adjustments as we required, and did everything on time.

Description of Work: I used United Granite. I had bought granite tops for my island in the kitchen, and had them installed, and they had to relocate some plumbing as well.
