+ -1 moreWe had another contractor come in, and he could deal with the project much quicker if we decided to that. Everything was going to take a little bit longer than we thought it was going to. He was really great. Since he came all the way to our house and did an estimate, I felt really bad that we decided not to go with him. He was very gracious about that. I might really call him for some other projects that I have in the future. He came highly recommended from our realtor. He can do small projects. He is totally okay with doing that, but he also takes along some bigger projects.
Description of Work: We had a quote by Scott McNicol 1 month ago for a bathroom remodel. We didn’t use him for the job. **I would just like to clarify a couple of things very quickly. I gave this report over the phone after feeling a pressured by one Angie's List reps over the phone. They had been calling my house for days, so finally I picked up the phone to find out what they needed. We recently remodeled our upstairs bathroom which was a huge undertaking for us. We received some names from some friends and our realtor, which we checked all of them out on Angie's List. Nothing personal. Scott McNicol was very kind and gracious. Responded to our phone calls and inquiries quickly. Came over, gave us a quote, and actually spent some time answering all of out questions. I actually had planned on using Mr. McNicol for this project until another contractor came back with numbers a little lower and could complete the project quite a bit earlier. I would call Mr. McNicol again. I felt like I could trust him.

+ -1 moreThe house needed all the small stuff that previously lived-in houses need, and Scott did it all. When we needed a professional plumber, he found one who did the job well and was reasonable. Scott was recommended by our realtor who sells numerous properties in this area and whom we trust.
Description of Work: Numerous general repairs to the house we have purchased including, but not limited to: painting, chair rail installation, mailbox installation, security lighting installation, wallpaper removal, installation of plumbing fixture, gutter cleaning and repair, light switch repair, assembling and installing bookcases and cabinets as needed, hanging new chandelier, building new step to make access easier, coming up with solutions to save money and make the house more comfortable.
