The service so far has been good. The experience was positive. They were a lot cheaper than another company, and they have been very cooperative in talking about it afterwards. There was one thing that they didn't do quite right, but they are going to come and fix it.

Serviceman explained our fairly new hvac system and how it need to restart after we had shut it off for 6 weeks in cold weather.

At approximately 0830 on 6 January my wife noticed water leaking from the old water heater. I immediately turned off the water and the power to the heater. I started to drain the heater to minimize and water leaking out onto the utility room floor. I then looked up plumbers on Angie's list to find services. I could have replaced the water heater myself, but I needed to be in Arlington VA by 1030 for a service. I contacted Grove as their listing showed very positive results. Within ten minutes of my first call a technician called back with installation information. David arrived while I was still in Virginia and my wife then called me to let me know the technician was working on replacing our heater. I got home and was able to observe the installation and talk with David as he was finishing up the job. There was no mess of any kind remaining when the job was completed and he gave me instructions about any maintenance. The workmanship was excellent.

Grove Heating came out to our house to evaluate our heat pump. The AC wasn't working and we were afraid the whole unit needed to be replaced. Grove looked at the system and provided a quote for replacement, but recommended that we simply fix the unit, make a few minor upgrades to our thermostat and see if we could get a few more years out of the heat pump. After having quotes from 3 other providers we decided to go ahead with Grove's suggestion. The only reason I'm giving the quality a B is because the first tech who replaced the broken part connected the unit incorrectly and we did have to have a second service visit to fix that connection. There was no charge for the second visit and it was an honest mistake. Overall, I chose Grove because they are a family owned company, I felt that they were honest and forthcoming with me, I did not feel as though they were trying to sell the highest-end option but rather took time to consider our current needs and made a recommendation based on that. Grove will be my first call when the system does, in fact, need to be replaced.

I bought the house in December of 2012 and new that the heating and A/C system were roughly 20 years old. The furnace was still lighting but was not blowing any hot air through the house. I called Grove because I remembered speaking with Daniel Grove a few months before. He was a friend from high school that I haven't seen in a few years and we did a little catching up and he told me about the company. The heat stopped working in late January/ early February one COLD evening and I called the after hours number. I set up an appointment for the following day. The service tech that came out was polite, clean, on time and very informative. After about 20 minutes of testing he was able to figure out the problem and explain everything to my wife and I. He then gave us the pricing of replacing the Heat and A/C systems because they are 20+ years old and are not that efficient. He gave us a quote for 4 different types of systems while there and then made some suggestions as for replacing the system. It took about 3 days to order the part and have it delivered and then it was installed in a very timely manner on the fourth day. The system has been working great ever since. When my system decides to finally stop working for good, I look forward to dealing with them again.

I have used this company for repairs in the past and I have always been pleased with the results. For the estimate, they seemed very knowledgeable and provided a competitive estimate. I ended up going with another company that proposed a similar system for a bit less money, but they would have been my next choice.

I called at 9:45 am on a Saturday because my heater wasn't working. It was fixed by 11:00 am. Great service and technician JG.

Mr. Pulley was excellent. His work was fantastic. He responded to us promptly and professionally. We could not have been happier. Please note the best time to call him initially is in the evening.

The estimate went very well and Grove was able to get the units installed within a week from giving the estimate. Most other companies were booked out for a few weeks, so this was the main reason we went with Grove (and their excellent reviews). They showed up around 9am, though no one told me what time to expect them and I had to call the office the morning of install to find out that this was when they'd be coming. There were three guys that were all very courteous and clean. The install finished up around 2pm and everything seemed to be working. Later in the evening we realized that our old humidifier was no longer accessible for changing filters, maintenance, etc... so I had to call Grove back in the morning about it. They sent a guy out that afternoon, around 1pm, to pull the old humidifier out. Then again that evening we realized that through some jostling of the system during install, one of our flexible ducts that is original to the house (40 years) had gotten torn and a large amount of cold air was escaping into our utility closet. I called about this Friday morning and they sent out someone to temporarily tape up the tear. I sent an email to our salesperson that detailed the status of our units and I was immediately called back by someone at the office. They sent out one of the owners to talk with me about the issues we were having and while he was there, a crew showed up to replace the torn flexible duct. Since then, everything has been great. We didn't have to pay any additional money for this work since it was considered part of the original install. I did have to inquire about the County inspection and call the office on Monday to schedule an appointment. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't asked since no one from the company mentioned the inspection during installation. Overall it was not a perfect experience but they took care of the issues that arose in a very timely manner an their employees are very kind and clean.

We were completely satisfied with the work performed and would highly recommend Grove Heating and Cooling.

Called after hours number, they had someone there in about an hour, discovered the problem, fixed it, then I asked if he had a thermostat in the truck, since I was not happy with the one we had. (it was hard to program and I wanted something simpler) He installed that too and everything works great.

I want to replace the electric drier with a gas one. For that I will need either the existing gas line extended, or (probably) have a new one added. Called Grove first to schedule an appointment to see the site, assess what can be done and provide an estimate/bid. Was told that I would have to pay for a 'service call'. A fricking $124 just to be given an estimate of their prices? Maybe that is their business model, but it sure it ain't mine. Don't understand how anyone can grade as "A" a provider where you have to pay before the work is even defined. oh, BTW: later on I called other plumbers/heaters in the area and nobody (I mean NOBODY) asks for money upfront to give you a bid.

Everything went great. I didn't have nay problems. Their prices were fair. Everything went well. They called when they showed up. I would use them again in the future.

After the installation of the gas logs, they did not work. Even though the work was covered by a contract, they charged me additional money to come back to complete the installation and to tell me that there was something wrong with the log set (which was true and the vendor for the log set did correct the problem.) Also, I had to have the plumbing re-done for the kitchen sink by another contractor at an additional cost to us.

Austin and Jay were great. System works wonderfully. No complaints.

Our old heat pump and air handler was leaking and inefficient, we knew we needed a new one. We had multiple estimates, but decided to go with Grove due to the knowledge and responsive answers from Garrett (salesman). The installation began and was completed on the same day, only 3 days after we signed the contract. We went from a single zone system to a 2 zone system. The upsatirs was always hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The installation crew was prompt, professional, clean and did everything as expected. We worked with the new system for a couple days and had a couple questions. I called Garrett and someone was on site within 2 hours to respond to all concerns. The system works as advertised and we are hgihly satisfied. All in all, a quality job.

My heater went out about two weeks ago. I called the offices and they promptly responded with a technician who inspected my heater the next day. They recommended a heating system and gave us various options. We chose the Trane system. We were very happy with the system and the communication. Groves did a great job and I was very impressed with the whole process. It was a very stressful time but they did a great job educating us on what we needed, they set the expectation of how long it would take, and delivered on there promise.

It was a very positive experience and the system works as we expected. Grove was responsive, thorough, and professional. We would consider them for any future work.

They did a great job! Their technicians we're neat, clean and professional. The showed up when they said they would and cleaned up behind themselves. The system is running great and saving us big money on our energy bills. Since the system was installed in October 2012, we've used between 600-800 less kilowatt hours per month compared to the same month in 2011. Phillip Grove did a thorough job of outlining all costs involved with the system and coordinating the schedule. Andrea, their service coordinator, was very helpful walking us through all of the paper work required to receive the MD Clean Energy Grant, the BGE Energy Savers Program Rebate, and the Federal Tax Credit. Although the system is initially more expensive than a conventional heat pump, the energy savings is substantial. We will get back approximately half of the total cost from the state and federal clean energy programs I would recommend Grove Heating and Cooling to anyone.

After calling Grove Heating and Cooling, they sent a technician to my house. The technician was able to diagnose the problem in just a matter of minutes. The furnace had several sensors that were dirty and not allowing the furnace to ignite. He cleaned them and all has been fine since. THANK YOU GROVE HEATING AND COOLING!

my experience with Grove has been pleasant since day one. Grove was recommended to me from some parents on my sons baseball team and i trusted Gary Grove from the first time i spoke to him. He was very honest about my options to repair or replace my system and i am so glad we decided to go new all the way. Grove is always there when I need help. One time a fuse had blown in my basement that part of my system was plugged into. My heat wouldn't work and I called Grove. They very kindly tried to help me over the phone but i was not understanding the problem. They very promptly sent out a tech named Daniel who isolated the problem which was a bad outlet in my basement and got me going again. It wasn't even their fault but they took care of me. Recently they serviced my system, needed some new filters in particular and did a check of the system. Everything working great, my bills are literally half what they used to be. i wanted to write this review because i really appreciate everything Grove has done for me and my home. I can't say enough good things, Thanks Grove HVAC!

It was an awful experience dealing with these people. Micah Kristiansen was assigned by Grove H&C the responsibility of ordering the new replacement heat pump & accessories and was to contact me when they have the heat pump etc to schedule the installation. After about a week of waiting, I called her and she again promised to take care of ordering the heat pump etc and said she would contact me within a day or so to let me know the status. She again didn't contact me so I had to call her and the Trane company myself to coordinate the delivery and installation of my heat pump. I had to do all of the correspondence between Grove and Trane myself (which took many many calls) or I still would not have my heat pump today because she was doing nothing. I also spoke to the manager and owner during this process. Grove Heating and Cooling is so disorganized that at one point two or their service trucks showed up at my house to install the heat pump and neither truck had the heat pump. I told Gary Grove, the owner what had occurred during the process and he said he would investigate the issue and call me back but he never did.

I used Grove Heating and Cooling to diagnose an issue on my home's heat pump system that was no longer working. The company dispatched a technician within a reasonable timeframe on the day of my call and the technician was clean and efficient. He was quick to inspect all likely points of failure and advised that I had a failed pump control board, but also likely had a coolant leak. After discussing pricing on replacing my system, I was billed for a service call with no waiver on the service call in the event that I had a replacement system installed by the company which is common for my area.
