We were very pleased with Grove! We needed a new AC unit and they gave us plenty of options. They were fine when we had to reschedule because of a snow day, showed up on time and did a great, fast job. Would recommend!

I thought that Grove Heating and Cooling was really terrific as well as professional. Phil, Paul, and Zach could not have been better. A true pleasure to have in our home. All went smoothly and quickly from estimate to installation. It has been a long time since I have seen such a great team-they worked together and worked cooperatively all the while being profession. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

They did repair a supposed leak on one line, but did not diagnose the actual leak that was causing the gas smell. Approximately 3 weeks later we had to call in the usual plumber/heating company we use to get it fully repaired.

They're excellent. There were two workers. The work was completed in an hour. They did additional work. They went above and beyond what they typically would do. They did a good job as far as the cleaning of the coils and changing of the filters as well as checking the heat pump.

I really didn't have any bad experience with them at all. They came out literally the same day that I called. It was on a Sunday and they came out really quickly. The guy was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was very professional. He confirmed the assessment that I received from the other heating and cooling company in terms of what my condition was. They gave me a check list of what everything else on my system that was checked. It was convenient to pay. It was just a pleasant experience, so I defiantly had a good experience with them.

They were really good. It took him about 2 hours and he fixed it. I would use them again. They called. He gave me his best price. He seemed like he was very honest. It's family owned. I felt very comfortable with him.

I highly recommend these folks. TTHey are professional and easy to work with. The "comfort specialist" (i.e. sales guy) was knowledgeable, professional and made several proposals individually tailored to my home's needs. A complex heat pump system was installed within a day with no hassles.

I have used this company twice and I can not say enough good things about them. The first was when our heating unit went out in the middle of the one of the most freezing ice and snow storms last year. Everyone else we called---including Belair and BGE---wanted us to instantly buy a new HVAC system. Belair's salesman tried to take advantage of the situation and really overcharge us. Grove came out, fixed the unit and we moved on. While they made us aware that it would eventually need replacement (coming up on life expectancy), the problem was actually a minor one at that time. Similarly, when we had one of our units malfunction this past summer, even though it was one of the hottest days of the year, Grove came out, fixed it and again, gave a very fair price. What I like is that they are honest---not just out to take advantage of a homeowner at the most vulnerable time.

The inspection went extremely well! The HVAC technician, Mike B., was extremely professional, arriving within the set 2 hour timeframe, even calling me within 10 mins of his arrival. I had a list of questions for the technician and the technician happily answered all of my questions along with showing me how to change the filter on our system. The technician explained the services that Grove Heating and Cooling offers without any pressure to purchase future services. We liked the service so much that we signed up for our next service with Grove Heating and Cooling, receiving a great discount off the flat rete price of $125.

What you truly expect from a business. From initial call requesting a quote to the technicians showing me how to work the new thermostat before departing, everyone was professional and respectful. I called three companies to get quotes on new HVAC installation. Grove is the only one on the initial call that offered to bring window units by to keep my house cool until the installation day. One other company had the option, after I asked about it. Customer service is very important to me. From my experience, their pricing is very competitive, if not better and customer service is great. That's what is hard to find. All I can say is, you will not regret the decision to use them.

The AC system broke and we called Grove. William, the consultant, came the next day which was a Saturday. he installed 4 room AC temporarily until we got the new system. he helped in making the right decision. After couple of days, the two installers - Lou and Zach came and installed the new system which took all day in a hot summer day . they were very friendly and professional and did a good job. also, explained how everything worked. After a week or so, we needed a technician to come on Sunday and he came to fix a problem.

They did a great job. I wanted the ducts to be as seamless as possible and they did a better job than the design I envisioned. The price was great, much better than the other two contractor's quotes. It's like these units were always a part of the house. I can't say enough about the work or the product. Everything turned out better than I could have hoped for. I got just what I wanted . I am very pleased.

Very professional company & friendly folks.The install was done in one day & very neat and clean. i am very pleased with the price they gave me and the Technician; Austin did an excellent job. I'm very pleased. A big five stars for this company.

The team arrived on time, introduced themselves, explained the entire process and asked if there were any questions. They moved the bedroom furniture out of the way to allow access to the attic. They placed runners on all the carpets and tile. (Especially helpful since it was a cold rainy day.) They did the work, then the lead tech took pictures to show as I am not able to climb into the attic. They then reversed the processes and cleaned up. For the outside replacement - they put up a tent over the area and proceeded to complete the work. When the work was completed (almost 2 hours ahead of schedule!) the lead went over all the paperwork, obtained necessary signatures and they went on their way. We have used Grove for two separate units and both experiences were top notch! We also use the for spring and fall maintenance.

The air filter was smashed and crumpled. It looked like he had dented in the air flow conduit so the air filter no longer fits in the slot. He didn't put the clips back to hold the wires back on. They had to come back out and fix everything.

After realizing our a/c wasn't cooling, I tried but was unable to reach Grove by phone on a Saturday. We have a service contract with them, but I'd never had to call them out on an emergency call. So, I was upset that I was unable to reach someone on a Saturday. It turns out, their phones were down. I found an email (service@grovehvac.com) and sent an email instead. It took a couple of hours, but once they realized their phones weren't working (I was the second person that had sent an email after not being able to reach them on the phone), they emailed me and a technician called me right away. The technician was in the area and was at our house within 10 minutes of calling. He found the problem, which turned out to be relatively minor, thankfully. He gave us his personal cell phone # and told us to call him directly if we had any more problems that weekend. They are very professional and I have had the same technician come out for maintenance several times--indicating that this is no 'fly by night' operation, if the technicians stay with the company for a long time.

When Grove says whisper quiet on my ac unit they are not kidding!

My first experience with Grove was when our heat went out a few cold winters ago. They were the ONLY company willing to come out that same day. Thus, they were at the top of my list to contact when we were getting estimates for a new HVAC system. From the estimate to the installation, they run a first class operation. I waited to submit this review until we got through winter and entered the summer heat. We cannot be happier with the Trane system they recommended. My only complaint, but I understand that this is not particular to this company, is that they told us the day of the installation that our utility room did not have enough ventilation and they it would probably not pass the county inspector. So we had to agree to having two large vents (or a louvered door) installed in the room. I'm certain the sales gentlemen know of this issue and should give you fair warning that this is a possibility. I've had neighbors encounter this issue so it's more of an "industry" complaint. Also, you should do a fair amount of research on the air filters. Although you can spend tons of $ on them, many contractors recommend the most very basic ones since if you have thicker filters it slows down your air flow and thus your energy savings. We happily replace ours every month knowing we get a clean start each time with minimal effort (i.e. no washing out of filters, etc.) Again, we are very satisfied with the pricing and quality of our purchase. There is alot of discounting & rebates with HVAC systems in the fall so I recommend that time frame if you're trying to be proactive and replace your system before it decides the timing for you. Grove deserves a shot at giving you an estimate. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

On time. Professional work. Friendly staff. Installed in reasonable expected time frame. Follow up and a few minor details taken care of immediately with no extra cost. Would definitely recommend!

They check the filter and other things to make sure everything is up and running. It usually takes a half hour and one person comes out. It's just a maintenance check. They are on time I haven't had any issues.

Not well. The air conditioning service was fine but we were very disappointed in the service they provided to our furnace. Besides the annual servicing, one of our large 2nd floor radiator wasn't getting hot so we called them for service. They came twice, each time spending half a day doing the same thing: bleeding air from the system. The radiator would get slightly warm - they would declare victory and then leave. A day later it returned to no heat. In the end, this one problem cost us $100s for the service time but they never fixed the problem. In a fit of frustration, I guessed that maybe the problem was a partially stuck zone valve. I read the model number off the valve, went on a plumbing web site and bought a replacement valve for $50 and installed it myself. It was easy - and now everything works fine. It is pretty sad that I could fix the problem with no expertise yet the service personnel who do this for a living were unable.

We have been very satisfied with them. I know their prices were competitive. We had several bids and they came with a good bid and good equipment so we were satisfied with their pricing.

The Grove installers did a very good installation. They were professional, courteous and paid attention to detail. They did a thorough operational test after installation and the new system works great.
