E. J. Lewis Plumbing

I called on Monday to schedule an appointment to replace an outside spicket. The person who took my call was very nice and personable and said they would be there on Wednesday and provided a window of 3-5pm. Wednesday came and gone (my husband and I both came home from work early) and no one showed up or called. I called the next day and received the answering machine. I left a detailed voicemail inquiring as to not receiving a call or having someone come to my home. I asked for a return call and to date, have not receied one. This is unfortuante since E.J. has done all other plumbing work at my home and totally missed the mark here. They did not even take advantage of my call back the next day to make it right

EJ Lewis Plumbing is not the plumbing company to use. I needed to have a laundry tray pump replaced. I called this company at 9:00AM on a Friday and told them the brand and model number of the pump that needed to be replaced. They said they would have a plumber at my house between 1:00AM and 3:00PM. The plumber called at 3:10PM and said they had been delayed on the job before mine because “one of their helpers had installed all the plumbing fittings backwards”. He said he was leaving for my location, which was a twenty-minute drive. He showed up an hour later and upon looking at the job before him he declared that he could not get a replacement pump this late in the afternoon. However, I was told that they would be here at 9:00am the next day and would fix my problem by 10:00AM. At 10:00AM the next day when nobody called or showed up, I called Len the Plumber who sent a plumber out and fixed my problem. So if you need a plumber, avoid EJ Lewis Plumbing.

The drain in my upstairs shower wouldn't drain. I tried to use a "drain-blaster" to knock the clog free, but instead it caused the pipes to leak onto the kitchen ceiling. I also tried to open the clean out on the drain to relieve any pressure and cracked the fitting. I called the plumbers at around 8 and was told someone would be here between 12-4. They arrived around 1230. They had to cut part of my ceiling away to find the pipe to determine if there was a break. All they found was that the pipe had pushed through the gasket. They fixed that and then rooted out the clog. There was enough hair in there for a wig. They also repaired the cleanout. This company goes by two different names, E J Lewis and Branzell Plumbing. Branzell has a coupon on Yellowbook.com. They took the coupon without a problem.

The company was called on Saturday evening as an emergency situation for a leaking special order bathroom sink faucet that could not be shut off with the cut off valves. While there was no one available for the evening, arrangements were made to come on Sunday morning between 8:00AM and 9:00AM. At 8:15 we were called that a service person was on the way. Arrival was around 8:30 AM and the service was performed quickly and neatly. We were advised that an alternative part had to be used but that it would hold. In the interim, we were advised that we should order the part to have on hand for any future problems. We have not had to have emergency plumbing services for quite a while so we feel that the price charged for the emergency call was reasonable. We intend to call on this company again for any plumbing issues or needs.
