Claire was factually a horrendously rotten real estate agent from the beginning;. she was basically a FLOUNDERING DUNCE. I hoped Claire would use her touted skill and experience to sell my small rowhouse, but she botched things up from the beginning. For starters, she made mistakes on my house's ad that had to be corrected, because she did have me edit it and was smugly self-confident about it. She was also TOTALLY lost when my settlement date was pushed back more than about two weeks. I was actually out of contract, and Claire just floundered and wanted me to help contact people!!!! She told me she did not know what was going on, because people were not calling her and were even blocking her calls... So, she couldn't even do her own job. You know that if people do not want to return her phone calls, then you should not be using her as an intermediary! NO! Claire never looked after my interests. She calculated the purchase estimate WRONG by making a $4,000. MISTAKE!!! She overestimated the purchase by $4,000!! She took NO responsibility for any of her actions. Claire could not even make it on time to the settlement and showed up more than 30 minutes late!!! I felt VERY abandoned by this dunce who was supposed to be looking after my interests. My advice from all of my experience with her is: Do NOT use Claire!!!!! What she does best is collecting her commission and walking away. I have emails, others and experience to back this all up.
Description of Work: Claire was supposed to sell my small rowhouse in Baltimore County and look after my interests. The house sold for $10K below the listed price, which is fine, but please read my negative experiences with her below to see what happened. If she had not made a $4,000 mistake on the purchase estimate, I would not have selected that buyer for the house. Thanks for nothing, Claire.

She was fantastic!! We first started looking for homes on the internet. We found a few that we wanted to see so we had to figure out who or how we wanted to get an appointment. I had a few friends recommend Claire to us. So I emailed her on a Saturday (thinking that she might be busy) not really sure if we were sure on hiring her. She called us with in an hour or two, and after speaking for 20 minutes, we set up a time the following weekend to meet with her, not strings attached, and she would show us a few houses that we had seen on the internet. After which, if we decided that she was the right agent for us, we would go under contract with her. That first day we found the house we really liked. We went back to her office, we signed the contract with her, and we went over a few papers. Not sure on if we wanted to put in an offer, we went home and slept on it. She called and kept in contact the following week with us, and we came into agreement that we should see a few more homes before we put an offer in. So, the following weekend we meet up at her office, and she showed us a few more homes. The last of which, was the second showing of the home we really liked. She gave us the god's honest truth of what she thought about all the homes. After further discussion at her office, we decided to put an offer in. She called a while later and said that the sellers didn't like what we offered, so we told her to put in our bottom line, so if they didn't like that, than we were walking. After some negotiating on her part (most that we didn't know about), she told us the good news that we got the house. We closed within a month (due to sellers needing to move out of state). She came with us to the closing, and asked questions that we wouldn't remember to ask, or some we never even thought of. She stayed afterwards to make sure we understood what just happened and what was next for us. To this day, she is one of our close friends. She calls, and stops in when ever she is in the neightborhood. She is a very thoughtful person, and she is very caring of others. Oh, and she loves her clients and she always throws client parties to show her appreciation of us and for refering her to their friends and family. You will not go wrong in hiring her. She also does very well with helping those moving in or out of state as well.
Description of Work: Claire was great from the start. She picked us up and showed us the homes. She gave us her honest opinion on what she though about the homes. She walked us through the purchase of our first home from start to finish. She made sure we didn't get taken advantage of by the sellers. She negotiated the whole deal with little involvement from us (except where necessary) so we would not stress about purchasing the home. She help at the closing, and stayed after the closing to help us with any final questions.
