My four year old Maytag dishwasher was starting to act a little crazy. I didn't want to deal with Maytag and the people who sold me the dishwasher were too far away. So I checked Angie's List and this guy had lots of good reviews and he was close by. I told him my problem over the phone and he pretty much figured out what was wrong. He asked for the model number so he could look up the part and told me he would call back. He called back in about a half hour, told me the cost of the part, the cost of labor and that he could come out and do the repair the next day and he gave me a two hour window that he could make it out. He came out during the early part of the two hour window, had the part that was needed and made the repair. He even provided some advice about another appliance that was giving me trouble (a washer) and re-secured an access panel on the dishwasher that had been loose for years. I highly recommend this guy. He's good at what he does and he's a straight shooter.

I talked to tech Chris a day or two before he came out. He immediately knew what the problem was. He said he would get needed part and we scheduled appt. Chris was punctual, and quickly verified his phone diagnosis. The repair was done in short order. Chris was professional, he explained his completed work, gave me bad part, and my Angielist discount. My washing machine is working better than it ever has. Thanks Belair Appliance.

The problem was the transmission. Instead of trying to sell me a transmission right away, Chris Ware told me that it would not hurt the washer to continue using it but not to put it on the highest level of water since the tub would spin and agitate at the same time which could cause the water to overflow. Since we don't particularly like our washer that is what we chose to do. However, he said he would call Monday with the price of a new transmission and labor. He did and we decided to continue to use the washer until it broke. We will definitely call him with any future appliance problems.

He showed up on time. Stayed until the washer finished a load of wash. He called when he said he would and he is waiting for me to decide on a part. And while he was waiting for the washer he fixed the door of my microwave. I have used him before and I would definitely recommend him to others.

Chris was great. He came towards the beginning of the 2 hour window he gave us. The fixed the washer quickly and without fuss. he also fixed a problem with the dryer that he happened to notice (but I hadn't mentioned).

Can't wait to get home and try his quick fix.

Friendly, punctual, professional and inexpensive. Chris removed our old electric cooktop and wall oven. He then installed the new ceramic cooktop and wall oven. Due to the weight and angles, he required some assistance handling the appliances. We had no problem with that. We were very happy with the service provided and the cost. If needed in the future, we will definitely contact Chris at Belair Appliance Repair again.

Contractor was responsive to my call for service I needed to repair a washing machine that was stopping at the rinse cycle and leaving the clothes wet. He was very flexible in coming on my day off and was punctual and professional. We discussed the problem and he went to work diagnosing and according to him fixed the problem. He felt he'd solved the problem and asked me to let him know how things went after using the washer. I used the washer the next day and it wasn't working, same problem. I called the contractor again to let him know. As we spoke I could feel he didn't have a clue what the problem was but he said he would come out that day again. He showed up and stayed for about an hour trying to figure out the problem but couldn't fix it. He said perhaps it was the motor and it would run about $300 for the part alone, as an estimate. I knew in my gut that he was still unsure about the problem so I decided to call it a day and buy a new washer. To sum things up, the contractor was friendly and professional but not knowledgeable about such repairs. I totally counted on the positive reviews I'd read about this contractor so I found this very disappointing having wasted timed and money paying for the service call and nothing was accomplished and the washer not repaired.

I have used Belair to repair appliances in my Bowie MD rental property for several years. I have always been pleased with their service and professionalism. They are on time, have good knowledge of all the appliances I've had repaired. I have found they can diagnose a machine quickly, get the parts and do the repair so it works and is back in use quickly and at a reasonable cost. When I've had problems that could be repaired without lots of expensive parts they did so. I feel they are an honest and reputable firm that does a great job. I will continue to use them and highly recommend them.

I called on Saturday morning and he was able to fit me in his schedule on the same day. He was professional knowledgable and charged me a fair price.

I called and left a message with the service provider. He returned my call, and after discussing the problem I was having with the washing machine, he was able to diagnose a possible reason for the problem over the phone. We scheduled an appointment within 48 hours and he arrived within the the stated time frame. He was able to quickly repair the machine having brought the necessary part with him. I will definitely use this provider again.

The technician diagnosed my problem over the phone. He came out on one service call, replaced a part and fixed my problem. He was knowledgeable and came prepared with the right part.

Wonderful- cannot say better things about Chris that he was fantastic in all aspects. Would hire him again and recommend him freely!

I was delighted he came the same day I called. After diagnosing the problem he said he had a pump in his truck, went and got it, came back in and installed it. I was pleased with his work but I bit unhappy with his cleanliness. He tracked in mud from outside and shoved things around in the laundry room, leaving a bit of a mess. I was still happy that I had a working washing machine! Next time I will prepare a little better for his arrival.

Gave us well thought out cost options

We've used Belair Appliance several times now and I will never use another appliance repair company again. Chris is honest and reasonable. He provides the kind of service you don't expect anymore. I recommend Belair to everyone.

They were okay except for the guide broke my dryer door, but he came back and replaced it. However, it took him a while because the part kept coming in wrong. They were very good about taking responsibility for what they did.

Chris always makes the right diagnosis. His charges are reasonable. This is the third time I have used him and he always does a great job and follows his commitment to be ontime.

I have used this business three times. The first time it was to get the timer replaced on my washing machine. The second was to diagnose and fix a problem in the refrigerator, where water was collecting on the top shelf. The last time was because my icemaker was making only a very few ice cubes, and those were very small. In every case the technician was there the same day I called, and in two of the cases he was able to make the repair the same day. For the washing machine timer he had to order the part, but it was only a few days later that he returned and installed the new timer. I've found this business to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. I've had no further problems with any of the repairs.

It went great. He was able to do it in record time and thus didn't charge me as much as he originally estimated.

We had been experiencing issues with our fridge for several weeks (water leak, fridge never getting to the recommended temperature) and called BelAir Appliances because of the positive reviews on Angie's List. We didn't receive a call back after our first inquiry but decided to give them another chance and called back a week later. We got a hold of Chris this time; he was responsive and willing to come out in two days. The first time he came, he was "hopeful" that the issue was with the control board and drip pan and ordered both parts. When he came back to replace these parts, however, he indicated that the freon was low and that diagnostics on the control board suggested it was working fine. He filled the freon and changed the drip pan. He never changed the control board or brought this up for further discussion. Soon after leaving, we noticed that the issues still persisted. He was considerate enough to come back to our home and not charge us for further diagnostics. On his third visit he noticed that he had not properly installed the drip pan, which he believed was the reason that we were still experiencing a water leak. He also thought a fan was installed incorrectly, he fixed the fan and thought that may address the temperature issues. We were hopeful after this third visit, but that was not the case. After spending approximately $275, our fridge issues remained. We called Chris back after his third visit but never heard back from him. Exasperated, we ended up buying a new fridge.

Went well. What I expected and I was not disappointed.

I called Chris to doublecheck a quote I had been given by another company. He was on time, was professional, quick to assess the problem, and gave me options in fixing or replacing the oven. (There was a $50 service charge.) Chris then ordered the relevant part, and returned to make the installation. (Total for part and installation was $170.) The work was done quickly and correctly. I would absolutely use the company again. Without question.

Called Belair Appliance Repair and Chris answered immediately. Spoke to him regarding problem with washing machine. He indicated that it might be the pump and came to the house that afternoon. Problem was, in fact, the pump. Chris replaced it with a pump which he had on his truck and repaired the washing machine that day. Great service, quick response, knowledgeable service provider, fair price. We have used Belair Service for many years and have been very pleased with their level of service and professionalism.
