Once the work started, I was convinced I had made the right decision in selecting AHP for the work. Rick Hunt was on site every day and performed much of the work himself. Rick and his crew worked efficiently with very minimal time for breaks. They didn't leave the job site based on the time but on completion of tasks. Rick was very diligent about appraising me of his progress and any problems he encountered. He discovered problems as the project developed that were outside of the original scope of work. I agreed with his assessments, and was very comfortable with the amount of additional charges he requested. All change orders he requested were put in writing for my approval. As the job progressed, I added a few new work items and Rick's prices for these changes were always reasonable. Not once did I feel like Rick was "nickle and diming" me. More importantly, and this may be the key reason for my high rating of AHP, Rick found many small items outside the scope of work that needed to be done and did many of them at no cost or just for the cost of materials. That was a very new experience for me in dealing with contractors! I unequivocally recommend American Home Performance and Rick Hunt for the type of work he performed for me.
