This was my first time hiring an organizer and Wickedly Organized did not disappoint. I would clean, then cook or get dressed and everything would be chaotic all over again. Great questions were asked in each room and more frequently used items are in arms reach. My kitchen ,pantry ,bed and bath items are well placed and provide an opportunity to dress and cook in half the time. The work was completely professionally and the process was not invasive; I hardly knew she was here. Excellent service with game changing results, I am very pleased with the results.

Brenda was a huge help to me in completing this house project that’s been on my to do list for a long time. Having her help to quickly organize and clean out my laundry room was invaluable. Also, it was a huge help that she was able to take care of donations and trash.

It went really well. After organizing, Brenda takes everything away and either donates, recycles/Freecycles or hauls to the dump so it’s totally gone! She is professional, responsive and reliable. Great service.

As always, I feel utterly relieved after a session with Brenda. I was away for a while and the house became very disorganized and cluttered in my absence. Brenda gave me back my basement. She even mailed me back a gift card I accidentally tossed in the ‘trash’ pile, along with a lovely note. I will be hiring Brenda for all my future organizing needs and would recommend her to anyone I know.

Brenda was amazing. She came in and assured me that my house was not nearly as out of order as I thought it was. We had spoken earlier and since she had advised me not to, I did not organize before the organizer came. She had a plan that she must have atarted developing after the consultation visit because she brought storage solutions with her when she came. She is quick and efficient and didnt waste a minute of time. She also has a great attitude so even though she went through every single drawer and hiding place in my house I never felt that my privacy was being violated. And she made me look at every single piece of paper Inhad stacked in the t.b.d. pile. Since I make up my mind quickly about things in general, we were able to get a lot done in the day and a half she was here. One more thing. The day before she was supposed to come for the second appt. I ate something bad and was sick. I didn't want to cancel because I wanted it done, and as a small business owner myself, I know the impact that last minute cancellations can have on your budget. I called Brenda who was very understanding and didn't pressure me to keep the appointment but she did say she would take on the bulk of the physical work and all I had to do was sit in a chair and say save, donate, trash. She got it done despite that and it didn't take long despite my slow moving. It's been two weeks amd my house still feels great. All the energy traps and piles of papers, shoes, and unwanted things are gone and the house feels lighter. Brenda did some fantastic work here and I am so glad I stretched my budget to do this for myself. If you are feeling like your stuff is in charge of your life rather than you, call Wickedly Organized. You won't regret it.

I've worked with Brenda and Wickedly Organized for over 6 years and have more than satisfied with the results. She has done general house organization for my husband and I when we have been too busy traveling and with work to keep-up with the clutter. She has organized closets, my garage, my kitchen... you get the idea. Pretty much anywhere in my house I've asked she has done an outstanding job, which is why I continue to use her services on a regular basis. I also have no problem giving her access to my home while we are at work and no one is home.

If you are contemplating hiring someone to unpack and organize any boxes or clutter that you just can't get around to doing yourself, look no further! I was so relieved that I made the right decision by hiring Brenda. She was fast, efficient, professional, polite and most importantly left with a clutter-free, box-free organized basement! I was worried we needed more than a half-day as she was already booked for an afternoon session with another client but we even finished under the initial estimated time. She sorted out the trash from the recycling and took care of taking all the bags and flattened boxes outside to our trash and recycling bins. I did not have to carry a thing! It was easy to decide on the spot which items to give away and donate and she takes the donations for free. I will definitely be hiring Brenda again in the near future for all my organizing and decluttering needs.

Before arriving at our house Brenda took time to talk with us over the phone, look at pictures, and suggest some items that we could purchase to make our time more productive. We ended up installing two cabinets before she arrived. When she arrived she didn't waste any time, but got right to work. In four hours we took an office packed full of stuff and turned it into a well organized space that we actually enjoy using now. If you are ready to get your home organized Brenda can help you do it.

It is impossible to adequately review Brenda, because there aren’t enough positive adjectives in the world to describe her. To call her efficient, expeditious, resourceful, respectful, and a pleasure to work with is a start, but you’d have to work with Brenda to fully understand how wonderful she is. Brenda is no mere organizer of things. To me, she is an organizer of life. I first worked with Brenda when she worked with my mom and me after my dad's death. My mom needed to organize some rooms around her house. Like many, clutter had accumulated through the years to the point that my mom and I couldn’t handle processing it all. I contacted Brenda (who was in touch that same day), and she came over for a consult. She is so perceptive that she got to know me and my mom, and then applied what she knew of us to how best to help us organize. When the day came to reduce the clutter, Brenda was wonderful in helping us decide what we needed, what could go, and what could be donated. She delicately helped us discern what of my dad's was important to keep, and what was important to let go. I LOVE that Brenda works outside of your appointment to find those who may need things you no longer do. The entire time she was with me and my mom, Brenda worked like a refined whirlwind. Not a minute was wasted, and we also found her pleasant and easy to talk to as she worked. When Brenda was done, my mom and I (still feeling the reeling effects of my father's death) found that not only did the rooms feel more organized, but that our lives felt more on track. We learned tricks from her about not only how to eliminate clutter, but also how to simplify other aspects of life. To this day, I (and I'm sure my mom as well) feel lighter and less stressed out in general. I was so impressed with Brenda’s organization and help that I asked her for a very special favor—to be the day-of organizer/coordinator for my wedding. I slept soundly the night before knowing she was in charge, and sure enough, Brenda went above and beyond in (among many other things) hanging decorations, putting out favors, organizing seats and tables, helping the wedding party hit their music cues, and just making everything run smoothly. I felt so lucky to have the best organizer around helping on this milestone day! Since the wedding, we’ve added a baby to our household. Brenda has done several sessions with me, helping me organize baby clothes, baby toys, baby bottles, and more. We live in a town home, so finding space for our stuff plus baby’s stuff has been a challenge for me, but not for Brenda. Brenda looks at the space available and the things within it, and has immediate suggestions that simply do not occur to me. Our small home feels spacious with her ideas. Brenda is an incredible organizer who my mom and I plan to use again and again. She has given me my life back in so many ways. I am so lucky to have found her, and to be able to call her my friend and my organizer for life!

Brenda has been helping me organize and declutter my closets and filing cabinets for over 3 years now. She did an initial consult with me and told me the different types of hangers, files and containers I needed. She organized both my closets so quickly and efficiently! She is a true professional. She even took all the clothes that I decided to rid of to the salvation army. I have used her services several times over the past 3 years. She takes the pressure off of organizing and brings much needed order to my chaos. I would definitely recommend her services. Another plus, my dog loves her too!!

Brenda has been coming to our house for 4 years now, and over the course of time, has helped get various areas of our home de-cluttered and organized. She has become an integral part of our family, and we truly benefit from her presence in our home. While we don't have a disorganized and messy home, we have little storage space and live a very busy life with 3 kids; we just don't have the time or focus to get our home in order without the help of this Wickedly Organized expert! Brenda learned early on that, like many of her clients, I have emotional attachment to some things in my home, such as pictures, my children's artwork, certain knick knacks, and other various items, and I have a difficult time parting with them. What I appreciate about Brenda is that she doesn't judge me, nor become pushy, but rather she has a gentle way of encouraging me to get rid of things I no longer need. (Sometimes we even laugh together at my resistance). She reminds me that the more I purge, the less I'll feel weighed down, and the freer I'll feel. Just as comforting is that she has a Pay It Forward program where she helps find new and loving homes for many of the items I no longer need, making it easier for me to let them go. Brenda also helps me focus on staying with the task at hand. She really cares about making sure the client is happy with the progress being made, so she works quickly, multi-tasking so that we get as much done as possible in each session. Even though at my house we end up getting interrupted at times by phone calls I receive or contractors stopping by, Brenda continues to work on the task at hand as much as she can without my input. She takes true pride in her work and it is clear how much she loves Wickedly Organizing her clients' lives . . . and her clients' lives are changed for the better!

Wicked Kahn! I have contracted with Home Advisors. They said my back porch would only take 4 hours at $50/hour. For Pete’s-sake, why would I pay you $75/hour to work 8 hours for a job that only takes 4 hours?...just because you say you “require” an 8 hour a day job? Why don’t you get a real 9-to-5 job, and stop gouging innocent people that contact you for help. I’m glad I called Home Advisors before I called you. You would have taken 8 hours to do my back porch and charge me the extra $300 for the 4 extra hours. Home Advisors are reasonable. They are charging me only $50/hour for 4 hours. When reading the other comments about your work, I noticed you worked two half-days for a client. So you lied when you said “ I only do 8 hour days”...You wanted to charge me an extra $200-$300 surcharge for one day mileage and gas? Outrageous!

Dear Ms. [Member Name Removed], While I never worked with you, nor spoke with you on the phone, I am sorry you were displeased with our email communication. In your original email, you stated that you have no one to help you and were overwhelmed. In my reply, I said that since you were out of my normal range from Columbia, I would do a phone consult rather than an in-home consult. I added that "I do only a full day (8 hours), not a half day." After receiving your response, I realized I should have clarified that although I normally do offer half-day sessions, I require a commitment for a full 8-hour day of work when a client lives a distance away from me (more than an hour ride each way) due to the extra time involved; the trip from Columbia to Gettysburg, where you live, is approximately 80 minutes. I do apologize for not making that clear. As anyone can see if they read my 30+ "A" reviews on Angie's List, the clients who work with me are very pleased with my services, calling me "speedy," "incredibly efficient," "very professional," and "an unbelievable worker." I love what I do, I have met some wonderful people, and most importantly, I have helped my clients feel less overwhelmed and more organized in life. Often, I don't even charge for certain services, such as my "Pay It Forward" program: Rather than just bringing clients' discarded belongings to a donation center (where much of it ends up being thrown away), I take them home, spend time placing ads for them on Craig's List, then give the items away for free to those who would make good use of them. I am glad that you were able to find an organizer through another home provider service that charges less than I do and can offer a half-day session (perhaps because they are located closer to you). I hope you are happy with the final result and write a positive review for that company. Take care and be well!

There are not enough superlatives to describe what a dynamo Brenda is and how easy she is to work with. Without being pushy, she kept me on task and nudged me to make realistic decisions for the long-ignored items that we were sorting. I knew that I needed to get rid of some items that had emotional value but that I would never use. Nonetheless, it was difficult to give them up, and Brenda was very kind and understanding as I processed my emotions. She very kindly followed up with a note to let me know about the disposition of the items that I cared most about. It was heart-warming to know that my treasures went to good homes. We worked for two half-days to sort through the boxes, and I felt relieved to have that onerous task accomplished. I know that I wouldn't have made that much progress in two weeks by myself. It was well worth the investment, and I would not hesitate to contact Brenda again for additional downsizing and organizing assistance. I have recommended Wickedly Organized to several people and I've heard nothing but glowing reports about their experiences.

Hire her! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Brenda. She was extremely responsive in our initial communications, came to our house right on time, and was both pleasant and incredibly efficient. We accomplished in a day what I could not force myself to get around to for multiple years--her services were worth every penny. I especially appreciated the fact that she takes all donation items with her and makes sure they find good homes, so we didn't have to handle that ourselves. She was supportive at all times and delightfully non-judgmental about our clutter. :) I would absolutely hire her again and have recommended her enthusiastically to friends and family.

With limited time, I was faced with the daunting task of moving across the country. Drowning under years and years of things piling up – having a family of 4, each of us with various hobbies and interests, and 22 years of accumulation – I was in “T”rouble and had no idea where to begin! Clearly, I had to get rid of a lot of things, as well as sort out what was going with me to my next residence, and then have everything organized in a way that would facilitate the process when the movers arrived. A relative recommended Brenda, owner of WICKEDLY ORGANIZED. She came over, was never overwhelmed by the enormity of the task, and systematically walked me through how she could help. She eased my mind immediately when she laid out a plan. She then came in, assessed the situation, initiated a process, and like the Energizer Bunny, immediately began working with amazing skill, efficiency, and humor. She helped direct my own “team” (various family members offering to help), assigned each of us an area of the house, instructed us as to what needed to be done in a way that we each could understand. She never pressured us or was judgmental about our decisions to designate our things as “stay”, “donate”, or “throw out”. She effortlessly multitasked and worked herself sorting, organizing, packing. She kept us all on task, making sure no time was wasted. Brenda literally spent 4 days at my house (aside from when she went home to sleep). She was as committed to the “project” as I was and never lost focus, despite my various “wanderings”! I NEVER could have done it without her!!! Each day Brenda brought her truck and took items away for donation or freecycling. She is an amazing person, who works to find the best home for donated items. She has a great system for donations and a large network. For example, she connected us with a man who sends bicycles to his home in Africa as well as a woman who is part of an organization, Let Me Shine Guatemala, that brings school supplies to needy children in Guatemala. This Wickedly Organized Super-Woman helped me lighten my world from things I needlessly accumulated – promising me that, in the end, I would feel lighter and better about the move. She was absolutely right! A large weight was lifted from me, and I made it, despite the impossibility of the initial task. Brenda is an unbelievable worker and a truly wonderful person. It was actually fun working with her! My only disappointment is that she couldn’t come with me to help get me settled into my new home. Not only do I consider Brenda to be the best at what she does, but she has become a part of the family as well. I recommend her at the absolute highest level to anyone needing to become more organized (no matter how small or large the task)! She is the best of the best; you will not be disappointed!!!

Great. She is wonderful to work with, very patient and kind. She helped me make decisions about what not to keep and how to organize what was left.
Description of Work: She decluttered my whole house, including my basement, garage, closets and kitchen. She took all unwanted items away and found good homes for many items. She also provided us with donation receipts including lists of items.

Brenda burst in with a bundle of energy and organized, sorted, planned out where to put things, put up shelves, and did it all. She did this all while I was at work. She is extremely organized, fast, and professional. I had to order additional bookcases and later, when they arrived, she rearranged her schedule to pop in and get them organized. She is perfectly marvelous!
Description of Work: I had recently moved in and managed to get all the rooms unpacked, but all my storage stuff remained in boxes. I was missing things and no idea where to begin.

I have an ADD brain. I'm creative, smart, and I work some very crazy hours. I'm a single mother of an awesome 8-year-old boy who is equally smart and creative with an ADHD brain. To say I've struggled with organization throughout my life would be the understatement of the century. It gets much worse when work is hectic. Things aren't put away and there's a mountain of stuff surrounding me with no place to put anything. Going home was depressing and sad. Every single item not put away was another checkbox in the failure column. When I found Brenda on Angie's List, it was a sliver of hope. I found someone who was not only excellent at what she does, but genuinely LOVES what she does. I sent her pictures of "my horrible home" and she called me that night. She came over on a Saturday and by the time she left, she had a truckful of stuff I didn't need or want...some to donate, some to recycle, some to re-home. There was a place for everything that made sense. There are no words to describe the 2000 lb weight she lifted off my very overwhelmed shoulders. I love going home now and have been able to maintain the system she helped me put in place. Since then, I've gotten rid of even more! I feel like I can finally breathe. I can't wait to have her back to do my garage!

Brenda is a gem! I would never consider hiring anyone else but her if I ever needed help again.
Description of Work: After moving cross country with a serious injury, I needed someone to unpack all my belongings and set up my new condo for me. Brenda took care of everything - from boxes of books, clothing, linens, files to all of my kitchenware including washing before putting away. She intuitively knew the most efficient way to organize my belongings and shelve my large collection of books. She worked swiftly with care, intelligence, focus and great cheer. To say she went beyond expectations is an understatement, and when she finished she took away the packing materials and boxes to recycle.

The job was done to perfection! She was very professional, with a contract outlining all terms and conditions. She showed up for the consultation and ultimately, the job ON TIME! Punctuality is rare these days, but she showed up on time, ready to work--no delays! She hardly even took a break, and this was a full day job. She has an organized eye and it's obvious this work comes natural. She came in and made sense of a highly disorganized scene! She was a complete task master...super efficient...finishing the job in way under the time I had assumed it would take. She even gave me tips on how to maintain order going forward. I'm extremely glad I went with this company!

I would give my very strongest recommendation to Brenda Kahn's Wickedly Organized, for anyone trying to dig out of serious clutter in their life. Brenda has a remarkable ability to focus on the task at hand, while being sensitive to the needs of her clients. We used Wickedly Organized twice. Both visits by Brenda were everything we expected. The first one she spent the time organizing our kitchen; removing duplicates and organizing very nook and cranny. She even took recyclables to the dump for us. She is friendly (important) but professional and watches the clock (ensuring you get what you paid for) to ensure efficiency.The second time she came, she worked on purging and organizing our closets with the same eye for detail and organization. Is this a service that you need to pay for? Technically no, but for busy people who stress over the thought of purging, organizing and making he best use of space in their house she was worth very penny!
Description of Work: Brenda removed the angst and frustration of merging two households into one, and a smaller one to boot. She is professional, efficient, organized and delightful to work with. She assisted us in purging in general and organizing select rooms of the house.
