VKB Kitchen & Bath

The initial process was great and there was great communication. The kitchen was done on schedule and the workers worked hard. When the process was "complete", we did a walk through and found a list of things that needed to be corrected before they left. After the clean up, we found razor blades laying around. I have a now 9 month old daughter and 2 dogs and 2 cats. I'm glad I found them before they did. Also, there were bolts and screws laying all over our driveway and front yard. I have now had to replace a tire on my truck because of the damage. I told them about it and they blew me off and refused to do anything about it. Now, it is almost 9 weeks after the "complete" of the project and we have had someone show up 3 times to "fix" what was left and it still isn't complete. We get phone calls late at night to ask if he can come over the following morning. After this last time that someone came over to "fix" everything, we didn't get any response other than "he did it" when we tried to tell him that not everything was done. I am very frustrated and disappointed in the customer service and the work that was done for the money that I put out

As with a lot of homeowners, we were scared stiff about starting a home remodeling project after all of the horror stories we had heard from friends. We were pushed off the edge by a master shower that stopped working and could not be repaired without tearing up the walls. We dove in after reading great reviews about VKB and totally lucked out by getting matched up with Calvin when we walked into the store. From start to finish this has been an amazing experience starting with the design phase, to demolition, construction, and final walk through. Calvin was perfect for us. He first asked us to collect pictures of bathrooms while he took meticulous measurements of our space. He then held our hands through what he called an “organic process” of designing our dream bath. What was really fantastic was when we had to choose tile, he walked us next door to the humongous tile store (where he was previously the store manager!) and smoothly guided us through one of the hardest choices to make with the perfect recommendations. The project was then handed to Al, the construction manager, and again we totally lucked out. I highly recommend this team of Calvin and Al. The construction phase went super smoothly. The workers are extremely clean and respectful. Everyday they lay down clean tarps and cover the carpet they are walking on with sticky plastic sheets. (We have white carpet upstairs and after they were done and a quick vacuum it is absolutely good as new!) Demo day was painless, no dumpster... just hand carried away in a truck. Construction happened pretty much daily from 8-4. We didn’t have to be home when the team was here and we felt absolutely comfortable leaving them home unsupervised. I am an orthopedic surgeon so I’m very precise about measurements. Each night I would sneak into the bathroom and measure everything, and I’m telling you all of the measurements were spot on! Also of note, they taped up two plastic sheet barrier walls between the master bedroom and bath which left the bedroom perfectly clean and livable with zero dust. We slept in our own master bed during the whole master bath remodel. In the end the project took one week longer than expected (this happened over Xmas holiday) and right on budget with no HGTV surprises. Al kept in close touch throughout the project and would text back immediately whenever we texted him with a question. Jose was also incredible during the entire remodel. We absolutely love our new bathroom and we honestly can’t think of any choice that we would change looking back. After this fantastic experience we are already planning our kitchen remodel with VKB next year. I will absolutely insist on my same team of Calvin, Al, and Jose. I have no fear of my next remodeling project

We contracted VKB for a complete master bathroom demolition and redesign. We got 2 estimates and VKB was the most reasonable. My experience with VKB was excellent from initial design with Sean, thru implementation of the new bathroom. VKB is a one stop shop, they design the new bathroom including picking tile, floor, toilet, sinks, hardware, cabinets in the store. They meet with you at home, create a schedule and assign a Project Manager. Jason was our PM and he was fantastic. He kept his team on schedule, kept in constant communication with us, let us know what was happening next for the entire job. They were clean, organized, trustworthy and very skilled. We could not be happier… (and we are not relatives or friends of VKB, we are random homeowners who chose them based on Yelp ratings etc).

Excellent work! I had my entire main level remodeled and wasn't sure what to expect as to time and the process. Apollo, David and the crew came in and worked nearly every day, all day until the job was done. The demolition was orderly and the workers kept the worksite very clean. They really take pride in their work. The finish product is great! Jason (project manager) checked in with me nearly every evening to be sure of my satisfaction and he made sure that the job wasn't done until I and my wife were satisfied with the finish product. Thank you Khalid for helping us through this major project and I look forward to working with you and VKB again in the future.

Although we will have 3 bathrooms remodeled by VKB, they have already completed our master bath and have done a great job. Workmanship, is excellent, and they have been very flexible when we changed several design features as we were going along. Plus they do a stellar job cleaning up after themselves every night. Jason is the project manager and has been very responsive and has kept us informed on all aspects of the job. Eric, who is the lead hands-on workman, is excellent- knowledgable and skilled. Great finishing touches.

Very pleased with the experience we had with VKB. Our sales associate was stellar! The project manager was attentive to any needs or concerns we had. The crew was extremely careful with our home and installed a spectacular product. Each day when we go into the bathrooms we feel like we are in a spa! Thank you, VKB.

VKB is an amazing company from working with Khalid on designs to Ferhat as project manager. Walter's work team was professional and hard working. We were so worried about having to adjust with a work team in the home everyday but they were so non intrusive. This company is truly a well oiled machine. Everything is done as promised, job was completed on time. The craftsmanship is remarkable. Price is fair for what you get. We just love, love our new bathroom and will be hiring them to complete other projects in our home.

Great job from the design to completion. Junior worked up a design and adapted it nicely with me to fit my needs. Jason managed the project to completion and kept me in the loop on final design and installation points. The kitchen came out beautifully.

Sean designed the kitchen very professional. My designer, Junior, helped me through the entire process. He was so customer-focused and professional. Jason, the project manager, and Walter, Team Leader, ensured a smooth demolition and rebuild of my bathroom. The entire team was outstanding and truly dedicated in ensuring I was completely satisfied. Great work!

Positives: The design work was great. We spoke with several kitchen companies before deciding to go with VKB, and Joe, the designer we worked with, put the most effort into hearing what our goals were and creating a creative plan for us. He was knowledgeable and helpful, and had a good eye to notice things that we hadn’t considered. He also offered helpful suggestions regarding cabinets, countertops, paint colors, etc. We were happy with the finished product. Negatives: The biggest issue we encountered was a lack of communication. We discussed various issues with the designer, but these frequently were not communicated to the actual workers doing the job. For instance, when the workers showed up on the first day, they didn’t actually have the plans for what was being done with the kitchen, and we had to explain the job to them. Joe offered to add lighting inside our closet, and we contacted him and said to go ahead and do it, but that information was not communicated to the workers until it was really too late, so it was never done. Sometimes it was 48 hours before we would hear back from Joe when we contacted him with a question during the process of the remodel. Because a lot can happen in two work days, this was sometimes problematic. The second issue we encountered was that when speaking about the project beforehand, words like “plumber” and “electrician” were used, but no plumbers or electricians were actually employed; general contractors did all the work. As a result, we felt uneasy about the quality of the work that was being done. For instance, the evening after our sink was hooked up, it came disconnected while we were using it, with the result that water was spewing all over our under-sink cabinet until my husband reconnected everything properly. Additionally, the cabinet seal on our dishwasher was installed backwards so that the rubber flap was sticking out. (They fixed this upon request.) Issues like these make us feel uneasy, and we weren’t confident that the work we couldn’t see or notice right away was done right. We wish that an actual plumber had been hired to do the work, as we had expected, or at least that it had been clear up front that this would be the case. Finally, we felt that the workers who were actually doing the job were sometimes careless toward our home. For instance, they piled tools and trash on our back patio, but in the process knocked over a plant and crushed flowers in our flower bed. They got paint smudges on a wooden shelving unit in the kitchen while painting. Similarly, certain details of the job were missed until we pointed them out. The finished product came out well, but we aren’t sure it would have if we had not been carefully supervising. (For instance, they forgot to run an electrical line for the oven until we reminded them, and a different faucet than we had selected was installed. These issues were always corrected once we pointed them out, but we were surprised that mistakes like this were made.)

After 23 years in our home we decided to have our kitchen remodeled. After getting 4 quotes we decided to go with VKB. They provided all the materials (cabinets, flooring, backsplash) at the best price. They offered a good selection of materials. Most companies estimated 4-6 weeks, but VKB finished in three! Our project manager, Jason Freeman, was great. Anything we had concerns about he addressed quickly and cheerfully. We had a few minor issues with our flooring, but those were fixed to our satisfaction. I would happily recommend VKB.

VKB did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. Joe was very attentive to our needs and created a design that we were very happy with. Jason maintained excellent communication throughout the job. Being able to text or call him with any questions or concerns was very convenient. Finally, Jose and his team did amazing work. They completed the job very quickly, and were always very careful to clean up at the end of each day, which we (and our toddler and animals) appreciated! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VKB.

Professional team who did work to a very high standard. The team were respectful of our time and space. All questions were quickly answered and addressed. It was a very good experience.

Thank you Jason Freeman for the great work you did remodeling our guest bathroom. You offered helpful suggestions on the best color of grout/tile combination. Your workers were kept the work noise level to a minimum and cleaned up behind themselves. Their work was extremely skillful and you Jason were very accommodating to our demanding schedule. I just wanted to give a shout out to VKB for the awesome work they did on our master bath this spring. This was by far the best remodel we have experienced (and we have done quite a few). Highlights include: Calvin Lee: our VKB designer who drew up a beautiful master bath plan WITHIN OUR BUDGET! Polo: our project manager who kept the project running smoothly and on time. I especially appreciated his daily project updates and taking my calls/questions in a timely fashion. Henry: our crew boss who is the kind of perfectionist you want working on your home. He oversaw all aspects of the job with care, and seemed sincerely interested in making us happy with the work. VKB: Does not foster an environment of upcharges. No nickel and diming us. We came in pretty much on budget! That's a first!!! Thank you one and all. Please feel free to use us as a reference.

At " VKB Kitchen and Bath" they are the best and I am very satisfied with their work!! I had to get my kitchen remodeled and from day 1, Calvin helped me map out how to make it more efficient by reorganizing appliances and cabinets. I was also impressed with the professionalism and customer service at the beginning and leading up to completion. Ferhat informed me of the timeframe for completion in advance and 2 weeks later I have a stunning new kitchen. I recommend them to all my friends since they can see for themselves the good job they did. Without a doubt, I will use their services again as I need more work in my house.

We used VKB after getting a whole bunch of quotes and estimates and designers, and Sean, our VKB designer was the only one who was able to take our vision and match it with our budget. The stock cabinets they had were much better than any of the other contractor groups, and were a big source of savings. Our project manager, Polo was able to keep us informed every step of the way and even when there was an issue, he kept us up to date on the status. When Home Depot lost our floor delivery, or when the quartz color we had picked was not currently in stock, he worked his best to keep the project moving, and keep us in the loo and able to stay on target. Erci was our “boots on the ground” guy, who was just fantastic. He and his crew were the best group of workers we could have asked for. They were so efficient, and did so much for us that made the flow in the kitchen even better. If we do any other remodel, it will be with these guys because Erci and his crew were that good.

We chose VKB because they seemed to be a good balance of being a full-service contractor with reasonable pricing. They were always responsive and professional; Khalid had excellent taste and recommended great choices in our price range. It was great to have a project manager to contact for the project when underway; both Daniel and Jason were very pleasant and customer-centered in their attitude and approach and quickly responsive and communicative. I appreciated how collaborative everyone was when there was a communication mixup on the shower floor tile choice, and they fixed it quickly at no extra charge. The workers were also very professional and hardworking; Juan and his coworker did our bathroom in good time and with solid skill. There were some glitches at the very end (faulty faucet and light installation, doors switched around), maybe due to being rushed then, but all minor. Fortunately, VKB has a one-year warranty service and they will send people at no charge to fix anything that comes up, and they did successfully. The kitchen team was top-notch as well; David and his coworkers were excellent and the tile work was beautiful and flawless there. They were good about checking with me on any ambiguous areas of installation. The only advice I would give is that since there several teams coordinating that you should make sure that all your choices/selections are nailed down ahead of time and communicated to each team/doublecheck with the project manager as needed. Overall, a trustworthy and responsible company for what can be a challenging and anxiety-provoking process, and our bathroom and kitchen look terrific now.

I love my new Kitchen! Everyone that I worked with was professional and did a great job! Sean designed the kitchen of my dreams, and Polo and his team Wilson and Carlos executed the plan beautifully.

The designer was very helpful when we chose the materials. The work was completed on time. The two young men who did the work did a beautiful job and were very respectful of our home while doing the work. Their supervisor was in constant contact with them and us to make sure we were happy.

We had a great experience with VKB Kitchen and Bath. We appreciated that Mr. Senveli came to our house for the initial consultation, and gave us quite a few ideas to think about. Then he met with us multiple times in the showroom and worked with us to make our project exactly what we wanted. Things moved at a swift pace, and we started construction before we knew it! We had a good experience with Mr. Doganci, who managed the crew. The crew worked so hard to get the project done quickly. We appreciated the long hours they put in, so that we could have our master bathroom in working order quickly. When we did have questions or concerns, they were promptly taken care of. I would highly recommend, and will use again in the future if the occasion arises.

We signed our contract on Nov 6th, and were told my Junior our job would be completed by this past Christmas. Today is March 27th, and we are still waiting for our job to be complete. Communication from VKB is lacking, and we are beyond frustrated with the amount of time this project has taken to complete. If (and when) they finish, I will update my review. Hoping that BBB may be able to help me get this project complete, as my calls and texts are going unanswered.

I had my bathroom remodeled by VKB about a year ago. The work was very good and Iove my new bathroom, but the grout in the tile flooring started to crumble. They came back and re-tiled the floor at our convenience for no additional charge. They even put new grout in the corners of the shower, the same day when I had not mentioned this before they arrived. Customer service is superb. They show a real desire to make their customers happy.

Wonderfully, Juan, crew leader was excellent, very professional. He arrived when he said he would, informed us of his daily duties and performed said duties and answered any questions in a timely manner. Jason Ali, the project manager, very attentive to us. He came out and called to make sure everything was in order, inquired of any needs or concerns, checked to make sure everything was done in a timely manner. It was a pleasure working with VKB Kitchen and Bath from beginning to end. It was a one stop shopping process. The company made the whole process easy and less stressful. We would use this company again.
