Excellent!

After being happy with the kitchen job they didl last year, I call VKB to remodel my townhouse bathroom! Again very happy with the end result, despite some issues that we were able to address them with Paul and that he was able to fix like always! Very professional I love our new bathroom, it's now stylish and functional. Highly recommended

Our house is a 1961 rancher with two bathrooms that had never been updated. We chose VKB Kitchen and Bath for three reasons: 1) the good reviews on Angie's List, 2) the reasonable estimate, and 3) their designer had a good understanding of what we wanted. The designer worked closely with us in selecting all the materials and had many great ideas. We were scheduled within a week of signing the contract and the workmen arrived promptly that day. All areas of the house that would be affected by dust and debris were first protected by covering with plastic and partitioning rooms with plastic curtains, floor-to-ceiling, so we still had access to our living areas. All debris was removed from the house every day and the work areas were cleaned and vacuumed daily. The workers were very conscientious and did a great job keeping everything neat and clean. Work began by gutting the hallway/guest bath. We still had use of the other bathroom. Ceiling tiles had to come down in our family room below to get access to the water turnoff valves and to the old, rusty plumbing which we found had been leaking. All new pipes were installed. The new bathtub was installed, drywall was replaced and the tile work began. Unfortunately, when the supervisor inspected the finished tile work, he was not satisfied, and ordered a new crew to redo the tiles. This meant tearing out the previous work, which caused two chips in the tub, which went unnoticed since the tub had been covered by protective canvas. The two chips were fixed after completion of the bathroom by an outside expert at the company's expense. We can't even tell where the chips were. The new crew did a beautiful job of placing the tile and putting in an inset and a decorative accent band.. The same tiles were used for the bathtub surround and the floor. The new, taller vanity, with granite top, was placed against the wall to give us more room. The workers also lowered the vent on the wall so the air can circulate better (before, it was blocked by our old vanity). We had a new fanlight installed and clear glass shower doors to have more light in the tub. We got a new, efficient comfort toilet, all new hardware, and a stylish medicine cabinet. They also created a new attic vent through the roof for both bathrooms because they had been improperly vented in the past. We love the new bathroom and are happy to show it off to our guests. The master bath was completely gutted. The old shower had a plastic pan and pink tiles. The new shower has beautiful marble tiles with an inset, a decorative tile band, and new tile floor. We had a minor leak between the frame and the foundation, which was found and fixed promptly. The medicine cabinet is all mirrored and larger than the old one. We kept our toilet because it was fairly new. The new, taller vanity was installed next to the wall to give us more room and also makes it easier to clean on the side. The shower heads and faucets are the new efficient water flow which should help us save on our water bill. This new master bathroom is beautiful and we couldn't be more delighted. We are very happy we chose VKB Kitchen and Bath. The designer, supervisor and especially the owner of the company, stopped by often to check on the work in progress and to make sure we were happy with the details. Someone always got right back to us by phone if we had any concerns. They worked especially hard to fix the small problems that we understand will arise with any such an extensive project. They really care that you are happy with their work. VKB Kitchen and Bath had the vision to give us the bathrooms we wanted. The people were great to work with and we would hire them again.

The project went very smoothly. Finished in projected time. The workmen were professional and respectful of my home. Cleaned up daily. The company made every effort to make sure that I was satisfied.

The most important thing about a remodel project is the end result, and we are very pleased with our results. The contractor who did our kitchen, deck, and sunroom was overbooked, so after reading all the glowing reviews for VKB, we decided to check them out. Paul came to the house to review our plans. He was confident he could do the job in five weeks. I did not think that was realistic for any contractor because of the complexity of our design, but we were more concerned with the job being done right than fast. It ended up taking more like 12 weeks, but the job was large and complex. The master bathroom required moving and adding a significant amount of plumbing and electrical work to implement our spa design. There were also a few snow days that prevented the crew from getting to the job. I must complement the craftsmanship of Paul's crew. Their measurements and installations are exacting and really look well done. My wife and I love the new look every time we walk into the rooms. The master suite is majestic. As with all remodeling jobs, there were a few hiccups and a few changes along the way. Paul worked with us to make the changes, and he was fair in his upgrade policy overall. One of the important factors for us was trying to keep the house clean during the remodel, which is almost impossible. But the crew did their best to keep the dirt and dust under control by laying drop clothes from the front door all the way up the stairs, through the hallway, into the bedroom and into the master ensuite. They also did a good job cleaning up behind themselves. We really love all the bathrooms, but especially the master bath. It looks like a resort bath suite.

From the time I met the VKB Kitchen and Bath to the start of the project, I knew right away that, this was the right company I choose. the crew was professional, accommodating and worked with my demands. I am very satisfied with my bathroom and I will recommend VKB kitchen and bath to any one planning to remodel their bathroom or kitchen. Very Happy.

After walking into VKB Kitchen and Bath, totally frustrated over the disgusting bathroom in my basement, I was pleased to be assisted by JP who patiently walked me through the remodeling process. Our basement bath was 21 years old and needed a complete gut job. The walls had mold, the tub and fixtures were rusted, and there was no ventilation to speak of. You can imagine why no one wanted to walk in that room! JP paid careful attention to our design and pricing needs, assisted in picking out all the materials we would need, and then promptly scheduled our remodel for the following week. Ten days later, I now have what my son proudly calls, ?A Glorious Bathroom that puts the rest of the basement to shame!? The team of workers were extremely neat and courteous, with great suggestions and a wonderful touch for details. They took great care to keep their work area confined and clean. They worked so quickly and quietly, we hardly knew they were there! Our bathroom is spectacular with a beautiful marble floor and shower, modern accents and trim, new vanity and granite counter top, and above all, total ventilation! I am amazed at how quickly and efficiently they pulled everything down to the studs and completely rebuilt the entire bathroom! VKB Kitchen and Bath was a total pleasure to work with, and I recommend them for all your kitchen and bath remodel needs. I am sure we will be using them for our next kitchen and bath remodel as well!

Work was started and completed on time. Installation of granite countertops was done with precision and great quality, incl removal of the old tiled and heavy counters. Installation of sink and faucet took longer than expected, and the plumber had to come back the next day due to a drain leak. The backsplash (2x2" tiles) is uneven in a few areas, such as by an electrical outlet and along edges, and the grout is not evenly applied in a few places.

Great experience from beginning to end. Proper explanation of services, proper pricing documents. They were responsive and timely. Crew was great and My wife was completely happy. Project went well from estimation to delivery. They were very precise in planning, drawing and advising. They gave lot of options with different design and ultimately helped choose to right design for the kitchen. We have worked with many contractors in the past and VKB was good contractor to deal with.. We were very happy with crew and project managers. No hesitation recommending them to anyone who needs great kitchen.

VKB Kitchen and Bath just completed renovating the kitchen in my home. I couldn?t be happier! They guided me through the design decisions and showed me a computer mockup of what the finished kitchen would look like. The quality of the materials and workmanship was superb. They paid careful attention to every detail. The result is an amazingly beautiful kitchen that far exceeds anything I could have imagined. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. They were friendly, attentive, professional and customer-focused. I would recommend them to anyone who has a kitchen renovation project in mind.

Very well. Initial negotiations were clear. We could choose our fixtures, tiles etc. within specified allowances. Workers doing the actual job were polite, efficient and professional. Managers supervising the project came daily to check the progress.

After 13 years in our house, we decided to remodel our bathroom, kitchen and replace the carpet with hardwood flooring. We got estimates from 2 other companies, but were most impressed by the VKB price and their showroom in Columbia and chose them for our Project. From the beginning of our Project to the end, Paul was very courteous to us and provided us with regular updates on the progress and next steps of our Project. We decided to make some changes after the initial design and Paul accommodated our needs very professionally. I was most impressed with Paul's communication with us - he quickly responded to all of our questions via email or text and addressed all our concerns quickly to our satisfaction. Paul's crew was very competent and professional. They started with our original builder grade bathroom and within a couple of weeks were able to completely transform it into a beautiful, contemporary bathroom. Next, the crew was able to tackle some difficult problems in our kitchen with ease and once gain transformed into a beautiful new look with new granite counter tops and contemporary lighting and backsplash. We are enjoying our "new" house as a result of all the good work done by VKB Kitchen and Bath. We plan to use VKB Kitchen and Bath for more remodeling work in the upcoming year. I would highly recommend Paul and VKB Kitchen and Bath for any remodeling needs!

My wife and I bought a house, a few years ago, that was in pretty serious need of updating. We remodeled the second floor, rearranged bathrooms, closets, and hallways before we even moved in. After we put wood floors throughout the second level, the kitchen was next on the list. We decided not to tackle the kitchen ourselves, instead opting to find a company that could help us get the project done more quickly than we'd be able to do on our own. We both love to cook and entertain, and we couldn't bear to be without our kitchen for the approximate month it would take us, if we were doing the work in evenings and weekends. We needed a team of professionals who have the perspective of having done many similar projects. We wanted someone who has "been there" so to speak. After interviewing a handful of companies, we settled on VKB. Paul was very confidence inspiring, and he was able to provide references and examples of projects they had done before. He was easily the most organized of the groups we had met with. A representative for another company we spoke to, for example, seemed to have no idea where his notes were and asked us the same questions in three separate discussions on the phone. To me, that says that they aren't taking my needs and project seriously. VKB was the opposite; I felt like we were very important to them throughout the process. We sat down with Paul for a couple initial design meetings, first at the showroom in Columbia, then in our home here he took measurements. A day or two later, Paul emailed us renders of the design we discussed, as well as layout blueprints. A couple modifications, and he placed the cabinet order. In the meantime, we went to the granite yard and chose our granite. While waiting for the cabinets to come in, we went to pick out the appliances we were replacing: the fridge and microwave. We ordered the fridge, and decided that the in-built microwave that we'd originally planned on was priced entirely out of our budget. We were looking at $2000 for a microwave. So we called Paul to see if we could revert to an over-range microwave and hood. Fortunately, he was able to talk to the cabinet company and make the change for a very small increase to our cabinet cost, and no delay to the delivery timeframe. We ordered the (much less expensive) over-range microwave, and were off to the races. The following day, the crew arrived to demo the kitchen. They moved right through it, and the room was empty by the end of the day. From that point forward, there was daily progression. The crew was very pleasant, and asked the right questions when they needed to. If I had a single tip for anyone thinking about this, I'd recommend you check in with your crew in your house at least twice per day. That gives them the chance to ask questions that, otherwise, might delay your project. They wrapped the project just in time for us to start cooking for a bridal shower we were hosting, and we were thrilled to show off our new kitchen. In retrospect, the thing I was most pleased with throughout the process was the communication we got from Paul and his crew. I manage projects for a living, and getting good communication is a challenge. Paul and I were able to communicate very well, mostly via email, but occasionally by text, phone calls, or in-person meetings. That's absolutely key to a successful project.

When it was time to work on a new Remodeling project of my house, I was a little worried about finding just the right company who could meet my needs. I wanted someone who was friendly and knowledgeable about their work, who could get the job done quickly, and who would stay within my budget. I had heard horror stories about those who were promised one price and were charged a lot more or who received horrible service from their contractor and I did not want that to happen to me. This is why I was so excited when I met VKB Kitchen and Bath's Team. Right away they put me at ease. They sat down and answered all of my questions, never rushed me through the process, and made my budget and requests for the project their top priority. And it did not stop there. We had VKB Kitchen and Bath redo our 1948 kitchen in November 2013 and they did a fantastic job! Our kitchen rehabilitation included cabinets, floors, countertops, addition of a gas line, and adding ceiling lights. From the initial meeting to discuss ideas and make measurements, to the final walk through, they were professional, responsive and friendly. Within a few days of our meeting them for the first time, they diagrammed a plan for the kitchen. Once we picked materials, patterns etc. based on our price range, we basically stood aside and watched as VKB transformed our space. Any questions or concerns were promptly dealt with. The professionals were excellent at troubleshooting when challenged by issues with our old house. Their price was reasonable and they worked with us within our budget without pushing for more expensive materials. Very professional and we recommend them highly. I'm sure for our next project, we will ask them back.

The work went well. The workmen were very professional. Some materials arrived late. But in all, the experience were a good one.

I needed to have to have 2 full baths renovated and decided to go with VKB Kitchen & Bath after meeting with Designers for a consultation. They did a good job helping me plan and decide what materials and fixtures to use. They show very good management skills and their guys are skilled at what they do; both bathrooms turned out very well and I can?t express how happy I am with the results. I made the right decision choosing VKB Kitchen & Bath and would like to say thank you very much to VKB Kitchen & Bath?s team.

VKB Kitchen and Bath Remodeled our Kitchen , that included some reconfigurations and modifications. We worked out the Design in the Showroom and explained the changes we wanted and described the mistakes made by our previous contractors before. The designers is a really expert on designing and explanation of the design that they provide. They explained to us every step of the job how it would be done. The Showroom full of beautiful design and samples. We had great fun and expert help in putting it all together. It included all new Cabinets, Granite Counter tops, Island cabinets (Different color) with Granite counter top , Crown and base moldings, Glass Back Splash and wall painting. The Modifications included removing the soffit, in order to accommodate longer wall cabinets and remounted the plumbing to change the locations of the Sink and Dishwasher. They extended our granite floor tile to the wall which was not done by our previous contractor. They also properly Vented our stove which was also not done properly by previous contractor. The crew that did the work in our opinion is second to none. They are in every sense of the word EXPERTS. Their work was done perfectly and the have a great deal of pride in their workmanship. We went to several showrooms before going to VKB. We have absolutely no doubt that we made the right choice. Beautiful kitchen at a great price. We would highly recommend VKB to anyone needing Remodeling.

I'm a busy working professional and I just could not believe that I was able to get my kitchen remodeled from start to finish within 7 days prior to my business trip! The entire project was stress free and the designer, along with his crew, was professional and thorough. They assisted me in designing the kitchen and picking out all the materials for the project. He lined up appointments for me to visit different show rooms to select my granite and flooring. The hardest part of this entire project was selecting the materials to use! I was able to comfortably leave the crew in my home while I went to work. I don't think the experience would have been as smooth if I had used other contractors. In fact, it hasn't been and that was one of the reasons I postponed the "kitchen project" for so many years. The price I paid was well worth it. The materials were quality materials and they were delivered to my home on time and with care. Again, this was one of the best experiences I've had with home projects and I highly recommend VKB Kitchen & Bath for any minor or major home improvement project.

We decided to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. It needed an update, new appliances and cabinets and floors.We decided to check with a few local contractor and hope for the best. After having some of this contractor visit our home we decide to go with VKB Kitchen and Bath We read some good reviews of them on Angie's List .Also we had a god impression when they visited us. Two representatives visited our home, one of them explain us our options and listen to all our concern while the second took measurement and pictures.We are impressed with the kitchen they build for us and for the treatment we received in the process. The sales person answer all our concerns and give us good recommendations without imposing any of them. They tailor fit the new kitchen on our budget and they finished on less time that estimated.The installer were professional and friendly, and they took the time clean the work area every day before they left.They were very attentive to detail, before during and after the installation and we really love our new kitchen. My wife has been asking to remodel the kitchen since we bought our house in late 2005. We hated the kitchen that came with the house, but it was functional until the cabinet doors and drawers start falling apart. I had no idea what to expect, so I searched the internet and had 3 or four contractors give me estimates. Some where way over the budget. VKB Kitchen & Bath stood out, by providing free design and estimate, and the will to match and beat any competition out there within reason. Paul the Senior designer and I think the owner of the company worked with us, and captured how we wanted our kitchen, and presented us with the best options, designs, and material choices that fitted our budget. Paul was polite, direct, professional and honest in his statements, estimates, and explaining what needs to be done and how long it will take. He was prompt in sending the design (which we immediately liked) and broke down the costs of every single job of the project. We felt very confident in choosing his company and we are glad we did. His crew was punctual, professional, and kept the site clean. The cabinets and granite are very good quality for the money. I may upload some pictures. Our kitchen remodeling project went very smooth and more importantly within budget and on time. We love our new kitchen, Thanks to VKB Kitchen & Bath. I will do business with them again. I cannot say enough about the service we got from VKB! When work started, I had a newborn who had come a couple weeks early, and the VKB crew did everything in their power to get done quickly to make life easier for us and the baby, even working long hours over a holiday weekend while we were out of the house. Our designer Paul was very responsive and helpful, overseeing the project from start to finish. He checked in frequently and was always available over e-mail or phone. His design for our kitchen makes it feel like a totally different room, more open than I ever thought it could feel. It's hard to believe it's really our house! He helped us work around numerous obstacles?walls that couldn't be moved and all the space constraints a galley condo kitchen can offer? to come up with an affordable way to add square footage and make the whole thing look beautiful. The VKB workers were unfailingly kind and clean, keeping everything as dust-free as possible in our home and covering the floors and nearby furniture thoroughly. They worked fast to get our new kitchen operational within days, and when there was a mix-up on the appliance delivery (Home Depot's fault, not theirs), they made sure our old fridge was plugged in throughout construction to keep our food, which I thought was a nice touch. They also had to contend with the warped, 1940s walls of our condo, which don't readily match up with large pieces of granite. Some serious craftsmanship and problem-solving went into making the counters look like a million bucks and getting everything flush. I would recommend these guys to anyone! I had never tried a home improvement project big enough to need a contractor and I had visions of "The Money Pit" and all the horror stories you hear. These guys were the exact opposite. We LOVE being in our kitchen now? a major improvement in our quality of life, just in time to start cooking for our new, little family!

VKB ? good, quality work and trustworthy people. Panah (Paul) was very responsive to our needs even after all the renovations were completed and the final payment was paid! He was instrumental in executing our kitchen and bath design concepts and came through for us on all our requests. Paul updated us on our every detail of the renovations, even while we were out of town for one week ? sent us pictures of the job when the kitchen was first demolished ? from the tiles (kitchen to foyer), cabinets, countertops, to the stripping of the wall papers throughout the entire house ? to the installations of the tiles, and painting of the house. Paul was onsite every day to ensure that the workers implemented what we wanted, down to the details of how we wanted things done, exactly to our standards. He was accommodating - always ready to work with us whenever we had change of ideas through the entire project - either due to budget concerns or change of mind about what we wanted. He worked hard to have our renovations completed on time and on budget! Paul delivered on what we asked for, and sometimes even going above and beyond to give us what we wanted ?always stand by what he says - kept his words on when, what, and how things would be done. I highly recommend him for the next project ? very trustworthy and responsive ? what you want and need in a project manager! The work crew was very hardworking guys ? worked very early ? some days started as early as 6 am and most days at 7am on the dot ? wrapped their work days sometimes past 6pm ? good 12 hours of solid work. They worked through the weekends until the work was completed. They knew what they had to do and went about it very professionally. The workmanship is solid ? makes our job easier so that we do not have to look over their shoulders. They are knowledgeable and experienced. The guy who demolished and installed the tile floors completed the job efficiently and thoroughly ? without any hiccup (didn?t have to question his work afterwards). The person who took down the wall paper was thorough and attentive to details ? the process went seamlessly and our walls look professionally done! The crew that work on our kitchen ? were knowledgeable and experienced ? installed the cabinets and crown molding without a hitch ? professionally put together. They were especially attentive to our requests on how we wanted things. They were accommodating ?listened to our concerns and delivered on what we wanted and how we wanted ? they worked hard to help put us at ease on every phase -- from the demolitions to the installations of the tiles, the cabinets, the countertops all the way through to the final touches . In the end ? we got what we wanted and how we wanted done. These guys are good, hardworking people ? who genuinely care about the work they do. They also cleaned up after themselves at every phase of their work ? never had to ask them to do so and did not have issues with it. In the end ? we tipped the guys generously for the extra efforts and time and for going the distance - knowing that they could have spent that time with the families. We recommend his crew with confidence ? their work ethics and workmanship are commendable.
