I first contacted VKB Kitchen & Bath after reading reviews on Angie's List. I stopped in their Columbia showroom and met with Joe Zouine. Joe was quite helpful and attentive to our plans for the bathroom. We made an appointment for Joe to stop by and give us an estimate. He arrived on time and was able to survey our existing bathroom and offer suggestions about the project. We had a followup appointment to discuss the project and my wife and I felt that Joe and VKB went out of their way to meet our needs.We felt that Joe worked hard to work within our budget. After another meeting to select the tile, tub, vanity, and other components we scheduled the installation. The construction crew was professional, prompt, careful about keeping the rest of the house clean and completed the project at least one week earlier than expected. We were comfortable allowing the men to work while my wife and I were at work ourselves. The end result exceeded our expectations and we are quite pleased with the project. As a homeowner you are always facing challenges and one of them is remodeling. We had our perfect master bath vision for years and couldn?t find people who could make it a reality until we met Paul Panah at VKB. From the planning phase to the final customer acceptance test Paul was always on site, monitoring progress, making adjustments and making sure we are getting what we were looking for. I had quite a time finding the right remodeling company to help me achieve the kitchen of my dreams (it actually took years). It was when I gave VKB Kitchen & Bath a call to set up a design consultation. Now when Paul came to my home to discuss the project he really listened to what I had to say about the kitchen I envisioned. His manner, professionalism and design expertise was evident. With that I agreed to setup a showroom appointment. It was at this appointment that it all came together. Pauls understanding and patience up as we together saw the kitchen I've waited so long to see materialized on the computer. Once the design was basically settled. The next part was the actual transformation of my kitchen. I must say the workmanship was outstanding, Paul and his entire team from the project manager to the crew leader and workers were on top of everything. I could not be happier with the end results. I strongly recommend anyone looking for great remodeling company look no further than VKB Kitchen & Bath. I will be using VKB Kitchen and Bath for my Master Bathroom project in the near future. I have to say that this was the easiest and more cost effective kitchen remodel I have ever done. The construction crew showed up on time with the cabinets and everything else that was needed for the job. The crew was concerned about the cleanliness of my home and put up a tarp and were very respectful. As they worked they were very meticulous and asked me how I wanted things done right down to the placing of the knobs. I was in shock about how quickly they worked and got a lot done in a short time. The true test came when I was told by Paul that they would try their best to save my granite which was in perfect shape but we were concerned about it cracking during the removal. I watched these guys personally as they really did a great job at saving my granite and I was able to use it again. They put much effort into tearing the granite out from the wall . It was not easy since it was secured and glued. They ended up with a blow torch to get it out! That saved me a ton of money ! I think truly from the heart that is it was someone else they would have given up. This is why I would highly recommend Paul and his crew. They ended up finishing my kitchen within 3 days and my kitchen is by means a small space. The center island came out beautiful and the cherry cabinets really look elegant in the space. Paul also has a keen sense of style and knows what will work in your space. His advice helped us get the kitchen of our dreams. Our family and friends were shocked to see how beautiful it came out and quickly it was done. There is no doubt in my mind that the value of my home has increased due to the kitchen remodel. I would not go anywhere else. VKB is a turn key operation. Now on to my bathrooms.

We had two bathrooms stuck in the late 1970's and needed a complete remodel. My wife and had Metropolitan Kitchen and Bath provide an estimate; including in home visit and then us visiting their showroom to pick out materials; their price to remodel our two bathrooms seemed about 30% too high. Also they were a bit pushy when it came to design and trying to steer us to particular product. We then contacted VKB; Shawn promptly came out the next day to scope out the project; later that evening I had an estimate- 33% less than Metropolitan. My wife and I visited VKB's showroom to pick out product; the experience was laid back and really enjoyable. Shawn was there as well as Paul; they were helpful when we had questions and also if they heard something that might not be the best decision to make. Based on their professionalism, personality, quality of product, and just "gut" feel, we selected VKB. Shawn laid out the pricing again and the payment terms and said they could start in a weeks time! We picked flooring, tiles for our walls and cabinet type/style in the showroom. What was awesome was we were able to go home and select everything else: tub, shower system, sink, mirror, lights, etc. on a third party web site that VKB uses. We sent a list of product to Shawn and he ordered everything; which was delivered on the day the project began. As an aside the products we selected with VKB were better quality and nicer aesthetically than with Metropolitan. The day before the project started Shawn, Paul and Sid (head foreman) came over to do a final walk-through and ensure the design we wanted on our floor, walls, etc. Sid was AWESOME throughout the process- professional, knowledgeable and courteous. These guys were unbelievably flexible with days/times to work that fit into our schedule- they also put in a fulls day work, without fail. There was lots of e-mail correspondence between myself and Shawn on the project; he would respond to e-mails or call me the same day- I never imagined a service company and the workers would be so flexible, friendly, professional, and timely. The project started the week of Thanksgiving; Shawn and Sid said it would take about a month to complete; they finished right on time! As an aside- we were so impressed with our initial dealings with the team at VKB that I asked Shawn on the Monday of Thanksgiving if there was anyway he could install a new Cambria (quartz) counter-top in our kitchen before Thanksgiving; he didn't promise but asked they I give him a couple of hours to make some calls. True to his word, he called me early afternoon; said guys would be at my home Tuesday to measure and Wednesday to install- ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. They did a beautiful job and we had an enormous upgrade to impress our family on Thanksgiving Day. I have already recommended VKB to a close friend and would recommend and use them again at anytime in the future. The entire experience was beyond belief; no issues, no missed deadlines, no messing around with pricing or product; this is a truly OUTSTANDING operation with TERRIFIC personnel.

We chose VKB based on Angies' list ratings and they were the middle price of 3 bids for the job. They were also available very quickly to do the job which we needed as it is a rental. I worked with Sean in the office to get things started and was in touch with him throughout the project. The main problem we had was with the sub used to do all the work. He rushed through the job leaving poor quality tiling and drywall work, etc. I would go at least twice a day to see the work done often finding errors such as a door put on wrong way, the incorrect hardware or light socket installed, the wrong height vanity, a ceiling light I didn't order.... It felt that if I wasn't on top of the work of the sub, he wasn't doing what we had outlined in the walk through. He was handy and creative when there were problems due to the property being quite old, but his desire to finish the job in under two weeks no matter what meant poor quality work. I brought Sean to the property to show him all the short cuts and the problems with the work and he took pictures and promised to fix any issues and make me happy. He relieved the sub of his job and brought in a new one to finish the work. Some items such as the poor tile job, sloppy trimwork and drywall errors could only be fixed to a degree. I had to accept that this was a rental and "let it go" instead of making them rip everything out. Had this been my bathroom in my house, I wouldn't have let the imperfections go. We are going to redo our kitchen this year and I would not consider VKB for that job in light of this experience. Lesson learned-- meet and know the quality of the guys actually doing the work, not just the front office. It was hard to rate them since the company was responsive and professional, but the sub was the main problem in our job.

The finished product is great. The timing was off because my Designer quit in the middle of the project and did not leave his work in order for another person to take over. Paul and other workers were very professional and went out of their way to see that my desires were met to my satisfaction. Therefore, the project took longer than expected. I am very satisfied with the finished product. I would recommend them to my friends. After consideration, I decided that I should not punish the company for something that they had no control over; therefore, I am changing my previous rating from B to A in Punctuality and Overall.

We found VKB to be a great choice for our full master bathroom remodel. They provided their estimate quickly and out of the 3 other quotes we received for this project they were the least expensive. The work was done with care, especially the tile work, which took longer than expected but only because the workers were careful and meticulous with their detail. We were short some tile, and in these cases they clearly told me what I needed to go get, which was much appreciated. The allowances in the budget for the fixtures and mirrors and such were generous; in fact, we decided to buy our own at Home Depot and received a credit. We relied on VKB to arrange the vanity/counter and shower door, both of which came out much better than expected. My only criticism would be a few minor details were missed, such as the drawer hardware, which came later and had to be installed separately. Overall, however, we were very happy with VKB and would certainly look to them again if we were considering any other work.

We hired VKB to do a complete master bath remodel. A computer design was drafted and we were given a list of suppliers and a handsome budget to purchase each fixture, granite, tile, mirrors, and lighting. Sean and Paul were available to help with the selection of these items. The bathroom was gutted, most walls were removed, plumbing pipes and electrical wiring were redirected. We had holes in the ceilings of the dining room and basement in order to run electric wiring to the junction box for the Jacuzzi tub. Those holes were repaired and painted and you can not tell that holes had been made. Elvis and his crew did an excellent job; were very respectful; stayed until 6 or 6:30 at night most nights to complete whatever job they wanted to accomplish on that day, cleaned up each night, and even worked some Saturdays. There were a couple of times when there was a miscommunication when the crew would not be there the next day or would be late. Our Project Designer, Sean, was always available when we called and would come to the house to meet with us for any problem or question that we had. I changed the shower floor tile several times and Sean was always accommodating. The project took a little longer than originally planned, but the outcome is beautiful. Sometimes I just stand in the doorway and admire how beautiful my new bathroom is. We would definitely hire VKB again!

Paul and VKB Kitchen and Bath were responsive to my design ideas, helpful with finding the right materials and offered a very competitive cost for remodeling our hall bathroom. They accompanied me to vendors to make sure I was happy with the choices of bathtub, tile, vanity top, etc. Changes had to be made along the way and the team was gracious and accommodating. There were challenges with the size of the doorway and bringing in custom made cabinets but they figured out the proper way to handle it and left the result looking like no challenges were there. The team was pleasant, respectful, cleaned up after themselves every evening and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend VKB Kitchen and Bath. Ask for Paul.

I am very pleased and feels lucky that I picked this company to give the best bathroom I could dreams of. VKB through their employees showed top notch craftsmanship and very accommodating to our wishes and requests. Their day started at exactly 8AM and they did not leave until the goal of that day was concluded. The job site was left clean. We were continuously informed of any changes that had to be made and explained exactly how the process worked. By the end of the project we felt that we were a part of it and we had a say on everything. Paul's first aim was to keep us happy and he was successful. We love our new kitchen! We had a wonderful experience with VKB from the design process through the installation. Their use of the Computer Aided Design program helped us see the proposed layout from different angles. They were helpful as we thought through the options we wanted. When we wanted a few changes, they listened and readily accommodated us. The final design was stunning. Their workmanship was great and they delivered our kitchen ahead of schedule. The project manager was on top of the job. We highly recommend VKB for your kitchen or bath.

The kitchen remodel went very well. We felt comfortable with VKB after looking around for several months. VKB provided many options in our design.The project started when they said it would. The instillation personnel were very skilled and professional. They constantly cleaned up after themselves and trash and debris was regularly collected.I was in constant contact with the sales/designer (Sean). I could call or email him and he would always respond. We were very pleased with the quality of materials used. We waited a long time to remodel our kitchen and we are extremely happy with the finished look. I would not hesitate to hire VKB again.

We obtained a total of three bids on the master bath renovation. Amanda, our designer from VKB, was very good in incorporating our input into their proposal. Work pretty much started as planned, and the crew was good at making sure rugs and living areas were protected during the construction activity. The demolition portion of the project went very quickly and without a hitch. The crew usually showed up around 9:00 or 9:30 each morning during the construction phase. Since we had chosen marble for the floor, shower and vanity top, it required a considerable effort to custom cut and fit the pieces. Two specialty contractors provided the marble vanity top and the custom shower glass. There were no major issues during the construction phase. I was impressed with hard-working crew who completed the job. Amanda and a construction supervisor were available to help us with any questions or issues that arose during the construction. The walk-in shower, in particular, has turned out to be a wonderful addition to the master bath.

My home is 22yrs old and was really dated. I was looking to have major renovations done to the kitchen, (3) bathrooms and the basement refinished. So of course I jumped on Angie?s List to find a capable and well-reviewed remodeling company. After an extensive search and multiple estimates I?m so glad that I selected VKB Kitchen & Bath. What was key for me was their whole presentation and expertise that was evident. They listened to me and my wife as we described what we were looking for. Their design team was outstanding but more importantly the follow through was there. Basically whatever we dreamed up they made happen. The master bath was large but there was a lot of unused space, we wanted a large walk-in shower and separate room for the toilet. The transformation was totally amazing, it feels and looks like a spa. The guest bath was also done because we just had to get rid of the 4 ¼ tiles and that horrible bath insert. Our kitchen went from basic blah to absolutely stunning. While being without our kitchen for a couple weeks was hard it was well worth it, the guys worked hard and were on top of any questions I had during the project. That was so very important, I could easily get in touch with the project manager and our designer which was very assuring. I highly recommend VKB Kitchen & Bath for any remodeling you?re looking to have in your home.

I selected VKB Kitchen & Bath after along process of screening potential contractors to handle the three projects I wanted completed (total kitchen remodel, MB bathroom and the finishing of my previous unfinished basement). I can say from start to the finish they were one point. From design to execution, I don't think I could be any happier with the finished work. Any issues that came (because no undertaking like this comes off without a few snags) were addressed at once. Paul showed personal concern with making me happy and keeping me that way. The crew doing the actual remodeling were extremely good and courtesy. Any questions that came up they would let me know and Paul would definitely address it and resolve it. I would recommend VKB Kitchen & Bath to family, friends and anyone out there who are looking for any remodeling work. I would of course use VKB again.

I purchased an investment property in Columbia, MD. While searching for a remodeling company, I came across VKB Kitchen and Bath. We set up an initial consultation at the referenced property. Amanda, our designer, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I visited their showroom and they had everything laid out on the floor for display. It was very helpful to come up with different ideas. Showroom had different kitchen and bath displays to help choose. They had a lot of different products for floor, cabinet, counter, fixture and etc. The work team was very professional and respectful of my property. They came and left at the same time every day. They cleaned up the debris after they were done everyday. The project manager was at the property everyday to check up on the workers and emailed me almost every night of the progress. The designer was also always in contact with the project manager. They were in very strict coordination with each other which led to a clean and timely mannered project completion. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend VKB Kitchen and Bath to anyone. Looking forward to working with them for my future projects.

We hired VKB to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. Our main reason for choosing them over other companies I talked to was that Paul, the owner, said that they do not subcontract and all their advertisements say the same. Since almost everyone company I spoke to quoted virtually the same price, that was the deciding factor. However, that turned out to be completely untrue. Everyone who worked on our kitchen was a subcontractor, and many of those were sub-subcontracted and Paul did not even know them. None of them were licensed contractors. Some other issues we had were that he would be hours late to meetings,and he would lie about where the workers were (telling me they were at Home Depot when they had actually gone to another work site repeatedly). He didn't oversee or check up on the workers regularly or even check to see if things were done right. He sent a completely inexperienced worker to the house with no skills in remodeling, and I am still scraping plaster off walls and light fixtures that were not even touched during the remodel . I also have gouges in my wood floor. My impression was that Paul wants to get the jobs and hustles hard to do so, but after the money is coming in, he is just on to the next job and doesn't care to make sure everything is done well. We rarely saw him during the whole remodel, and the only time he spent any real amount of time at our home was the last day when he wanted to make sure they got done so he could get his final check. I like my kitchen, but it took 8 weeks instead of the 2-3 week time line we were quoted because he divided his workers between jobs and ordered a wrong cabinet. He begged us to not write a review because he knew how unhappy we were with him, I know of others he has done the same with. That is why his rating is so high on here. I would not ever hire this company again.

Our new upstairs bathroom was a major project for our thirty year home. We received designs and estimates from other contractors. The over riding decision for us in selecting VKB was the service provided by their design consultant Amanda Hebert and the ability to work within our budget. Her design ability and professionalism made the difference. As with any major remodeling, our project required a complete demolition of our existing bathroom and the install of new plumbing, electrical and tile. Amanda met and worked with us in helping us select all the components of our bathroom from it's beginning to final completion. The VKB onsite crew showed great concern and care during the project. From the care shown in the site preparation and final clean up, they were attentive to all our concerns. We cannot say enough about their technician and installer Selim (spelling). His skill and kindness enhanced the confidence we had in his work. And, the final appearance of his work was excellent. As with any major remodeling there are some ups and downs. Fortunately, Amanda, Selim and the entire VKB team worked with us and demonstrated great concern and professionalism during our project. We would recommend VKB Kitchen & Bath to others considering a remodeling project.

For years I had visions of my dream bathroom. VKB turned that vision into a reality. I'm convinced that if you can imagine it, VKB can design and create it. I contacted and received proposals from four contractors, but felt most comfortable with the response time, attitude and knowledge base of the VKB team. Senior Designer, Sean Harris, responded immediately with a scheduled visit to assess the scope of the renovation and provided a detailed estimate within a few days. He walked me through the design, incorporating all the "specifics" that I had requested and assisted with all selections--vanity, wall tiles, floor tiles, fixture choices, etc., insuring that I was able to stay within budget yet get the bathroom that I wanted. I was very pleased with the wide range of upscale, quality products available to me. At no point did I have to "settle" and the beauty and utility of the finished bathroom actually exceeded my expectations. My questions and concerns were always addressed, from the start of the project to its completion. The workmen arrived as scheduled, worked consistently throughout the day, were very respectful and considerate of my living space, were as unobtrusive as possible, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were able to problem solve and resolved all unexpected issues. When I initially contacted VKB for the bathroom project, I didn't know that they are actually a "one-stop-shop" and able to do all home renovations and remodeling. I was so impressed and comfortable with the team that I asked Sean Harris to submit a proposal to renovate the entire upstairs which included three bedrooms, linen closet, and hallway. It was such a relief to know that I would not need to deal with additional contractors. The damaged walls were repaired, sanded, primed and painted with two coats of paint; woodwork was replaced, mirror bi-fold closet doors were hung in each bedroom, door knobs/latches and hall light fixture were replaced and plush carpet installed. The results were amazing! I was very pleased with the VKB team. The prevailing bottom-line attitude is to provide an excellent end product and a happy, satisfied customer. I will definitely contact them for future renovations!

VKB came out to our house to provide a professional remodel of our 1994 kitchen. After discussing our ideas, Amanda went to work designing a 3D plan for our new kitchen. We met numerous times both at the showroom and at our house to "fine tune" the design and come to the finished approved design that we were ready to move forward with a proposal. Amanda was extremely easy to work with, she brought great design ideas to the table, and the 3D drawing allowed us to visualize our new kitchen using the exact dimensions of the existing space. The project took 4 weeks- the workers were very easy to work with, they kept the construction area contained ( we have 5 kids and a dog to keep out of the main area of our house!), and we felt very comfortable leaving them have access to our house while we were at work. Amanda remained our main point of contact throughout the project to address any concerns or questions for both the on-site construction team and for my husband and I. Amanda guided us through every phase of the process from design, proposal, material selection for granite, backsplash, flooring, cabinets, and appliances. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We have a beautiful kitchen that exceeded all of our expectations- it's a space for the entire family to enjoy and I even want to cook now that my kitchen is so beautiful!

My husband and I were looking to remodel our very outdated 1980's kitchen. After receiving a coupon in the mail for VKB Kitchen and Bath Remodeling, we decided to check out the showroom since it was conveniently located to our home in Columbia. We were promptly greeted by one of the designers. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. We scheduled an in home consultation and, needless to say, proceeded to sign a contract and got the project underway. Throughout the remodeling process, both the team and project managers, were very competent and easy to communicate with. The job was done in a professional, timely manner and when a few small issues presented themselves, they were quickly attended to and resolved. We are happy with our new kitchen and happy that we chose VKB to do the job. We would highly recommend VKB for any kitchen or bath remodeling project that you may be considering.

I got in touch with 3 different Contractors and invited them to check the place and give me quotes. Two of them visited the place. One did not show up. Of the two VKB Kitchen and Bath was prompt to show up and gave me a detailed itemized quote listing all work to be performed. VKB had a full designer showroom in Columbia and had samples of all materials on display. I was also given an option to purchase materials from stores like Ferguson, build.com as per my wish within the budget. It was a major renovation -- The old Kitchen was completely demolished and all new Kitchen Cabinets, Granite CounterTops, Faucets, Recessed Lighting, Hardwood flooring on the entire main level, some electrical and plumbing work. They also completely renovated the Master Bathroom with Tile Surround shower. The carpet was replaced in the entire house. Some electrical work was also performed on the electrical panel to put separate circuit breakers for Microwave/Fridge/Stove. The project was completed on-time and with the initial budget. VKB was flexible with the schedule and the workers were prompt, courteous and left the place clean after completing the work. I would highly recommend VKB for all people who needs renovation work - Kitchen, Bathroom, Flooring, Electrical, Plumbing etc.
