VKB renovated the bathroom in my master bedroom and I am extremely happy with the results!!!! Junior Wizzart my Designer/Project Planner was a joy to work with. He was involved in every step of the renovation process. There were a few minor glitches as expected with any renovation, however Junior quickly resolved the issue. I have received many compliments on my new bathroom from friends and family. Great job Junior, Dennis and the VKB team!! I would definitely use this company again for future projects.

We could not be happier with our new kitchen. VKB Kitchen & Bath did an excellent job from start to finish. Amanda helped us navigate the many choices we had in design, she listened to the few things we knew we wanted, and she had great suggestions for the rest. She is very knowledgeable about and has relationships with suppliers in the area. Jason Freeman, our project manager, communicated with us regularly, so we always knew what to expect. He was also very responsive to our requests. Jose and Ernesto, who did the construction, clearly took a lot of pride in their work. For example, they spent a long time making sure the floor was level. The job took about a month, in part because it went over Thanksgiving when suppliers were closed. Throughout that time, they made sure we had as much of our kitchen functioning as possible. VKB made the experience as stress-free as possible.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen cabinets with semi-custom cabinets, countertops with granite countertops, and floor with tile flooring. Replaced tile backsplash. Provided design, project management, and construction.

From the very beginning, VKB Kitchens and Bath provided excellent service. They lead me through the remodeling project step by step from the initial visit with Junior and Joe, they took pictures of the existing bathroom then explained every step of the process. I was involved in every process from design to picking out the actual materials that would be used to complete my bathroom. The crew showed up on time everyday and they were very respectful of my house by putting down drop cloths and cleaning up everyday when they finished for the day. The Project Leader, Jason Freeman was outstanding in keeping me informed daily as the crew worked on the bathroom, letting me know what to expect to be completed each day. He also provided me with a phone number to call or text him anytime and for any questions. I used that texting a lot during the project and Jason always responded quickly with an text message response or a phone call to discuss my questions. I would say that VKB is very lucky to have Mr. Jason Freeman on there team. He is without a doubt sincere about delivering great customer service. Also, I would like to say that the crew that worked on the project were also outstanding. The crew chief, Claudio was great. Claudio was a jack of all trades and a master of everything. He was also very friendly and was easy to talk to as well. I now have a bathroom to die for, and I spend a lot of time in it now. I think I take 3 showers a day now (LOL). But the best part about the project was the relationships I formed with the VKB team. All of them were easy to talk to and where deeply committed to complete customer satisfaction. I felt like I was family and they were my brothers in particularity: Junior, Joe, Jason, Claudio, and Mario. I recommend VKB Kitchens and Bath over any bathroom remodelers including the over priced Metropolitan Baths which is a competitor of VKB. I have shared my experience with friends and family, and all who have seen the bathroom are amazed and extremely satisfied with the workmanship. Well done VKB, well done. See you in a couple of years to remodel my Kitchen next. You have my business for life. Reginald D. Thorpe A very, very, very, happy customer!!!

VKB Kitchen and Bath - Deliver value and expertise as promised with Excellence. The entire process from sales through installation was done with professionalism using experienced project manager and expert installers. The project was well planned starting from the sales process in designing the kitchen. We were assigned an exceptional project manager that communicated the progress everyday to insure that tasks were completed as committed. The installers were always on time, completed the given tasks for the day, cleaned up after their work and did not interrupt my family daily routine. It was truly a seamless operation and they listened and accommodated my request. Here is the great news!!! They completed my kitchen in less time then promised. It took approximately 2 weeks for the job to be completed. Just in time for Thanksgiving! We are so pleased with the new kitchen that we are considering using VKB for our bathroom remodel. So if you are looking for a kitchen remodeling company that is truly customer oriented, completes the project as promised, knows their craft and is committed to excellence - HIRE VKB Kitchens and Bath.

I am extremely satisfied with the entire VKB experience. From start to finish. I recommend everyone to at least get an estimate first from VKB. You won't go wrong. Several years ago, I received an estimate from a competitor for $39,000 to remodel my master bathroom including the replacement of the tub for a stand up shower. That seemed a "tad" (lol) too high so I also received a second similar estimate from another competitor. Neither one could provide any rationale for the cost and would not budge on price. I became discouraged until 2 years later when I saw a VKB truck in my neighborhood and decided to give it one more try. Most importantly, their price was about one half of the other two estimates I received earlier. I fell in love with one of the fixtures in their showroom and went from there. They were willing to work with me on price without reducing quality or what I wanted. Secondly, the entire staff was very professional, courteous and tolerant of all my questions and changes. Amanda, the designer had wonderful suggestions and helped me pick out beautiful color combinations. Even though I told them I was looking for "mid-range" pricing, Amanda rarely told me that my selection (faucets, mirrors, etc) was out of my pricing range. She was always available for questions. Jason, the Project Manager was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with. He check in on the progress every morning and every evening to see if I was satisfied with the days work and to see if there were any concerns. Of course, there never were. He was insistent with the workers to do a perfect job. As for the real workers - the ones who actually did the job - they were outstanding. They never were late and worked from 8 am to 5:30 every day. They worked very hard as I could hear the banging all day long and could see it when I went upstairs to see the progress. The work they did was outstanding and when I would point something out that did not look right, they said they were already working on it and it was corrected the next day. They were very courteous and always asked permission to use the facilities, the kitchen or basement to wash their tools. I am so proud of my new master bathroom. I'm just sorry not many people will get to see it unless I take them upstairs. I plan to do a few more projects in my house and VKB will certainly be the first company I call. If you call, be sure to ask for Amanda and Jason.

Everything went very well. The design done by Paul was very much what I had wanted from the get go. The execution of it was very switch and accurate. All of the materials that I was shown and picked out looked even better when finished. I was kept in constant communication throughout the renovation which is something that I really appreciated. I will definitely use and highly recommend them for future use.

VKB was recommended to us by my sister in law who used there services last year. The kitchen I had before was very old school original cabinets fake wooden counter tops, the floors were laminate the list goes on and on of horror/ same with our bathrooms, our bathrooms were so interesting, just to give you a visual my kids bathroom had a green bath tub!! . Vkb team came in to give an estimate and get measurements then invited my husband and I into the office to show us a few examples of what they could do with the space. All of it looked amazing. Of course I already knew what I sort of wanted my must haves such as this back splash that I always dreamt about ;) we put our heads together and came up with an amazing design with Joe the designer. It was so hard to believe at first that our kitchen and baths could ever look the way he designed but Joe reassured me that he could make it happen and HE DID! The people at VKB are like a family they all communicate so efficiently with one another. They always know what's going on. I got the pleasure of working with All of them, Jason (project leader) was so sweet and determined that everything was everything I ever wanted and he was going to do exactly that. He called me every night to make sure I was still happy, and stopped in frequently The workers were very respectful and clean, they cleaned after themselves everyday. I am so glad that I went with this company, you would never recognize my kitchen or bathrooms if you saw a before and after photo. I never thought I could have a kitchen like the one I have now, thanks to VKB I actually want to cook on the kitchen ( which makes my husband super happy) and my kids love there new baths. I highly recommend this company! They are the sweetest and kindest company. They have customer service that we all wish everywhere still had. (Hard to find now a days)

My experience with VKB was amazing. They are so professional and good at there job. I had gone in a week prior to my renovation and met up with Amanda the designer, who by the way seemed to already know what i wanted before i knew what i wanted. I got to pick from what kind of tiles to what kind of shower heads, to the color of the walls. The best part of the project was seeing it come to life after i picked everything on there slide show system, that was so amazing. They assigned me to a Project Manager Denis who would be my point of contact during the process. He was so attentive, and informative throughout the whole process (and being that this is our first renovation, i was quite nervous). I could call and text him with any questions and concerns at any time and he got back to me within a half hour. His knowledge for the business and professionalism was on point. He also came in at least 2-3 times a week to check the process, and called me every night to see if i had any concerns or questions. He promised me the project would be done within 5-7 weeks and BOTH bathrooms were done in 3 weeks :) That was amazing! My project started on July 21st, The crew came to my home that morning as scheduled. They were all the sweetest people and had so much respect for our privacy while we were in he home. They were quite and very clean! This is the first time i have seen contraction go so smoothly. They all had a plan for each day and didnt leave until that was done. Once the project was all done, The project manager Denis, Paul Panah, and Amanda came for a walk through just to make sure everything was done up to there expectations. IT MET MY EVERY EXPECTATION! i never knew our bathrooms could look like they do now! They are so good at what they do that ive scheduled for an estimate early 2016 for our kitchen. I would and have recommended VKB to my friends and family.

Everyone at VKB that we had the pleasure of dealing with were very professional and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Joe our designer was honest, friendly and accommodating while guiding us through the design process. The crew that came out to do the work led by the project manager Jeremy were professional and did quality work in a very reasonable time frame. We love our new kitchen and feel that we could not have made a better choice hiring VKB to do the work. I would recommend anyone who is looking to remodel a kitchen to call VKB, you wont be sorry that you did!

My designer was Junior and he was able to redesign my 1980s kitchen into a lovely and functional layout. Jason was the Production manager and Jose was the project leader. The entire staff are so professional and responsive and helpful. Junior and Jason would let me know when they were coming to check on things and always asked if I needed them to do anything for me. Jose and his crew were such a pleasure to work with. Neat neat neat in every aspect of their work, on time every day, worked non stop and very efficiently. I would absolutely use VKB again and recommend them to family, friends and neighbors.

I selected VKB for my kitchen remodel because they offered a workable design (thanks to Joe Zouine), more variety in the selection of cabinets, tiles, etc., and the price was competitive. Also, I really appreciated not being pressured to pick specific items. There were several challenges (i.e. surprises) and the VKB staff was able to come up with viable solutions. They are staffed with some of the hardest workers I?ve ever encountered. They were polite, reported to work on time, and cleaned up everyday. A special thanks to Jason (project leader), Marvin, Ron & Christian.

We had an outdated 1980's master bath that we thought about doing for the longest time. We invited a few companies to come give us an estimate. We Chose VKB because of their reputation and they were highly recommended by a friend. They did an outstanding job with my bath that I have already decided that I will use them again to redo my kitchen in the spring. They did exceptional work with everything they touched and kept us on budget. There was very minimal disruption. I appreciate the extra hours and the extra two weekends they worked especially this time of year where most contractors are busy. We now have a gorgeous bathroom that we are so proud to show. Everyone was friendly and professional from start to finish. We enjoyed working with them.

Our salesman was great when it came to coming up with the design, going over specs, and helping navigate the choices. That was the best part. There was a delay in the cabinet arrival which pushed back our start time. Then, it was a slow start. Workers had to run to the store a lot for tools that other teams were supposed to share with them. The communication was bad throughout. We almost always had to initiate to find out what was going to happen next. We were never sure if people would be in our house. Very poor attention to detail. They put up tile backsplash poorly and had to tear down, reorder and put back up. It is still wonky. The floor was replaced and is not totally level and it creaks in areas - hard to believe with new hardwood. Cabinetry did not quite fit in some spots so refrigerator was crammed in. Had to adjust granite so the refrigerator could move. Cabinets are nice, but little nicks appeared in spots when they were mounted and extra screws were put in odd places to hold it up. Dye lot is not all the same - the cabinets look like they were made at different times. The salesman tried to get them to send more, and told us he would get it corrected. However, the foreman is telling us he is not sure what is going on with the cabinets so we are still waiting on the replacement doors and don't know the plan. Painting was not detail oriented. Mitering of crown was not great. Overall poor attention to detail and VERY poor communication. It started in August and was supposed to take 21-45 days. We text folks with no or SLOW response. After posting the review, the owner reached out. He came out with the team in the end of November and promised to make everything right. The work was not done until the end of March. They were very slow to fix the issues we pointed out. It felt like they had 90% of the payment so there was no rush on our job. When it was finally done we saw the owner again. He came to check the work and pick up the last check. He did what he said - corrected most of the issues, but it took a VERY long time. And some of the issues cannot be fixed easily. We have decided to live with some lopsided tiles rather than redo it for the 3rd time. It is also an awful shame that we pay so much money and they don't provide us with quality work. We should have paid a bit more for another company that paid attention to details and that did not rush to start other jobs and leave us hanging. We have bathrooms to do in the future, and we won't be calling back. Everyone was nice, but that only goes so far. The best part was the price, but I guess you get what you pay for. This company signs up too many jobs so it has trouble managing details of all of them. We are not overly picky. We have left MANY reviews and this is the first negative one.

After 3 years, we had some problems with the tile installed in the downstairs of our home. The work was done quickly and professionally. We were impressed that the company was responsive even after 3 years. The kitchen design is excellent. We have had many compliments on our gourmet kitchen, which was very professionally and efficiently designed. The owner of the business, Paul, was very concerned about the job and checked regularly on the progress of the remodel. After 3 years we are still happy with VKB Kitchen and Bath, and will still use and recommend them to any friend and neighbors.

All went very well. They kept within time-frame discussed. The crew, Jose and his men, worked constantly, were pleasant, highly skilled and explained everything to us as they worked the project. Overall, all VKB staff that we worked with was helpful, pleasant and professional. Cost was average for this kind of project. Our decision was based on working with Junior in getting all the preliminaries worked out to put on paper, sitting with Joe to get the costs nailed down and talking with Alp to define the finer details of the installation. The crew started on the day specified after Junior & Alp met with us that morning to discuss what we should expect over the 2 weeks of the project. Junior or Alp physically checked on us every day, delivered materials when they were due, followed up on things we brought up as the project progressed, and were, overall, responsive to all our needs. as they worked. The crew could not be better. They started every day on time, showed up every day and made sure they told us when they had to leave to pick something up. I took pictures of their work every day with minimum interruption and they were gracious in accommodating me. Bottom line: Our mutual collaboration resulted in our being happy with the our totally new bathroom. It's beautiful.

We met with Joe Zouine in early September as we were in the selection process for a contractor to remodel our antiquated kitchen. Joe came to our house initially and we then went to the showroom a couple days later. We were then able to secure a proposal. We pitted multiple bids against Joe's, but ultimately selected VKB. The primary reasons we selected VKB was the commitment to start /finish before the other contractors, price and reviews on Angie's List. We did the demolition on our own and took the floors up, took out the cabinets and counter tops. We purchased a C grade speckled granite countertop, all wood shaker cabinets and a light oak hardwood floor. Now I will list the positives and negatives we experienced as a customer. Positives: We feel like we were able to get very quality products (i.e. Cabinets, counter tops and flooring) for a very affordable price. I liked the ability to go into the showroom and see the products you are buying prior to them going into the kitchen. We also liked the software they had available that allows you to have virtual view of the end product. The same two gentlemen (Jose and Antonio) were on the project the entire time. They were very professional and respectful of our home. They did an outstanding job and aimed to please. Negatives: We experienced several failures in communication. In some instances there was no communication or not enough. We experienced this from our interaction with Joe and Jason but this also seemed to occur within the organization. Initially, we were given a verbal 7-10 days to complete the project which lured us in, but contractually VKB committed to 14-21 days. From the time the project started to completion was 30 working days Monday-Friday (September 24th- October 4th). There were some issues that delayed the project most notably their supplier was unable to deliver the cabinets we initially ordered so they had to order a comparable cabinet. The hardwood floors were a non-standard 5/16 inch. Once the major items were installed cabinets, flooring and countertops it took over a week to complete the finishing touches (cabinet pulls, trim, sanding and priming). The only change cost we incurred was an additional $700. We had to replace the hardwoods in the entire kitchen opposed to just half of the kitchen as we initially planned due to VKB inability to match our preexisting floors. I was not very happy with this as the color of the hardwoods did not change and they should have known they would not be able to match the flooring on the front end. Overall, I think issues and obstacles are to be expected with most remodels. It took longer than we expected and transparency in communication leaves something to be desired. At the end of the day there were some obstacles but we ended at the result we set out to achieve. We are happy with the end product and got what we wanted.

[Member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to detail your experience with us. We truly appreciate the opportunity to help you with your project. We enjoyed working with both of you and your wife. I think the time frame you mentioned was for the original design and not for the new beautiful design you ended up with which I told you it will take a little longer. There were multiple issues that came up that were beyond our control such as your wood floors not being 3/4" and a backorder on the original cabinets that were ordered. This is the main reason we don't do demo before everything is in and counted for but since you started the demo we felt that we couldn't wait for the original cabinets that were ordered even though you got them for a great price. Instead we ended up ordering a different cabinet line that cost us way more than the original ones that you signed up for. In addition to that we added crown moldings, a valance and helped you cut the tile splash for you to install all at no additional charge. We do appreciate the feedback and will use it for training and to better ourselves as individuals and as a company. I hope you enjoy your beautiful space for years to come.

I got 3 estimates and by far this was the most reasonable. I met with Joe, who designed the space and he seemed to know exactly what I wanted. He was at all times very profession able and responsive. We had many challenges along the way with delays. At one point I was upset as a subcontracted plumber did not show up and then arrived unannounced at 7:30am on another day. Joe discussed this with Paul, the owner and Paul came right out and met with me. He was very anxious to correct all concerns that I had. My husband and I were very impressed with the way it was handled. It took much longer than I was told it would take but in the end, we have a spectacular space. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Everyone that came to work on my house was amazingly nice.

The project went well. It started on time, but took a little longer than expected because of design changes and new features that were added as the project was ongoing. Additionally, some of the materials utilized were rare and took additional time to procure. Once all material was onsite, the project moved forward and was completed in a professional timely manner. We were really impressed with the finished project as it came together really nice. Before the basement of our house was the focal point as it was recently modeled, with the completion of this project, the kitchen has now become the focal point of the house and everyone loves spending time in this space.

I purchased a condo that had not been updated since 1992 and had been used as a rental property for sometime. As such you can imagine that the unit was in terrible condition. In addition to normal and extreme wear and tear the unit also had some damage to the walls, floors and fixtures throughout. I had 5 separate contractors come a tour the unit with me to discuss my vision and also give me their thoughts and suggestions along with their estimates. When Sean and I from VKB first toured the unit we had a great conversation exchanging ideas and laying out what was such an exciting vision of the future. Sean was attentive and listened to my ideas all while adding his suggestions and thoughts along the way. After we finished the walk through Sean stated he would get back to me within 7 days with his estimate. True to his word Sean delivered the estimate to me along with VKB's references, insurance and license information as requested. VKB offered a very competitive bid that was all inclusive of my needs and would make the project very hands off for me. Sean invited me to the VKB showroom to review the bid and to meet Paul the owner. The VKB showroom was very appointed with samples of product along with the use of the tile showroom next door. Paul was extremely professional, accommodating and open to my ideas and suggestions. Paul along with Sean reviewed my quote with me and made me feel very comfortable that my project would turn out as planned within the timeline promised. Sean spent considerable time with me designing the new rooms of the condo one by one, (7 rooms in total remodeled - 2 Baths, Kitchen, Living, dinning and 2 bedrooms) picking out all the fixtures, flooring and tile. His help was extremely valuable in ensuring the finished product would look great !!! After this was all accomplished VKB was extremely timely in getting the work started, Sean and the field supervisor met with me on Day one of the project at the condo to complete a walkthrough with the workers to ensure everyone was on the same page. We were able at this point to work out any minor items that we missed through all the previous planning. Work began on time and the team did just an amazing job of everything from demolition to the rebuilding process. Living in an inner harbor condo the rules are very specific to time allowed to work and the manner in which the teams conduct themselves in very high. VKB never presented me or the building with any issues as they always conducted themselves with the highest of standards. Throughout the process Dennis the field supervisor was incredibly responsive and always kept me up to speed on the progress of the teams and the work being preformed. Anytime I contacted Dennis for any reason his response was rapid and complete, always putting me at ease. In the end the project was completed on budget exactly and on time exactly. All the stories of terrible home remodels were completely dispelled by the team at VKB for me. I could not thank Sean, Dennis and Paul enough for all their hard work their commitment to their customers. I recommend VKB for any and all home remodeling projects !!!! The high resolution pictures and Video would be uploaded soon. Also, you can check them in VKB's website as well.

My experience with VKB started off with meeting with Amanda, one of the designers, to design our bathroom. She was amazing! She took all of our wants and needs and designed a beautiful bathroom. She worked with us to get our dream bathroom into a price we were comfortable with, which was great. The work on the bathroom was delayed slightly due to our shower tile being on backorder (not their fault), but Amanda was in constant contact with us about it. Once the work started, the workers themselves were very polite and worked incredibly efficiently. The work itself took about 2 weeks, which was amazing with how much work had to be done! Since they were delayed a bit, they asked if they could work on Saturdays to make up some lost time, which was fine with us and got the job done faster. Any questions or requests we had they were very quickly to answer and accommodate us. Everyone I interacted with at VKB was very professional and very good! I am so pleased with the bathroom now that it is finished! There is nothing I would change about it!
Description of Work: I had my bathroom completely remodeled. Moved walls, put in a double sink vanity, moved the toilet and remodeled the shower.

.Have met with the designer (Amanda) on Wednesday at our property. She took measurements and discussed our want list. Now have second meeting set up for 11/7 to review plan. Everything seems to be moving in a positive direction at this point!
Description of Work: We stopped into showroom the week of 9/21/15 and met with a designer named Amanda. Had discussions about the remodel of 2 bathrooms in Ellicott City. She gave us an appointment for 9/28 to visit the property. Received call on voice mail with need to reschedule to 9/30.She had given us her cell phone # and we responded immediately with a confirmation that 9/30 was OK! We waited at the house that afternoon and evening and finally called her office to make sure she was still coming. The rep that answered said i'm sure she's on her way. We never heard from Amanda again from our original visit during the week of 9/21!!

They were on time every time, they paid attention to details and were very clean. They did a wonderful job cleaning up at the end of each work day which meant a great deal since we have a child with Asthma. They were super friendly. All members of our family felt very comfortable with everyone who worked at our home. The price was very reasonable and they got the work done very quickly. Junior was very creative, an excellent listener and had many good suggestions as to how to improve the space in the way that we wanted in a cost effective manner. Both Edgar and Anthony, who did the majority of the work, are highly skilled carpenters who care about quality. We're kind of particular about certain things. (My Wife is very picky. She had no complaints whatsoever) the whole crew are nice guys who were kind to my children and careful with clean-up. They left detailed plans for us and for everyone who was involved in the project so they always knew what needed to be done and what the next steps are. Very well organized and well thought-out process. This is an A+ Rated Company. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for detailed work plans, quality materials and superior craftsmanship.

This project had both positives and negatives. The major positive was that the project was finally completed to our satisfaction, although it took much longer than necessary and there are few minor imperfections which may be noticeable to the discerning eye. We were primarily interested in remodeling the master bathroom, although the other upstairs bathroom could also do for an upgrade, making it nicer for guests. We had stopped using the soaker tub in the master bath several years before because the tile around the tub leaked and needed repair. In addition we no longer had use for a tub in the master bathroom, since we only had time for showers. If we did need to use a tub, there were two other bathrooms that we could use. We chose VKB because of the excellent reviews and they were local. Based on their website we were expecting professional help with the design and theme of the master bathroom and expert assistance in choosing a color scheme. During our first visit, we gave them our ideas for the master bathroom in the hope that they would be able to produce an acceptable design. We ended up with some rough sketches that were not satisfactory In the end, four of us sat down for several hours and worked out a rough design for the master bathroom. Based on this rough design we also agreed to a price. At this stage I was expecting a detailed break down of the total cost for doing both bathrooms. That was never forthcoming. The next issue was when to begin the project. We were prepared to begin as soon as possible, so a date was set for a pre-construction meeting in mid-October. We were given the impression that we and VKB would meet at our house and go over the details of the design, timeline and hardware. The result was somewhat different. As my wife likes to recount, it was like the first scene in "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", when Author Dent wakes up to find a construction crew in his front yard, which is about to demolish his house for a bypass. In this case they were about to demolish our two upstairs bathrooms. Since we were not prepared for this we sent them away and re-scheduled the pre-construction meeting without a demolition team present. We spent the next week or so preparing a project plan and deciding on the fixtures and other hardware. Construction began and proceeded at a moderate pace. We were told that the project would be completed by Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving came and went. Next, we were told the project would be complete by Christmas. Christmas came and went. Construction stopped for a few weeks while we were away on holiday, and finally the project was completed in mid-January, with final payment in early February due to a delay in receiving the vanity light fixtures. Concerning the construction, for the most part the tile work was excellent. The only issue that we have is with the tile work in the children's bathroom. To add color to the bathroom and tub, there is a band of blue and green colored tile on the back wall. This band curves slightly to the left, so is not completely straight and vertical. The other structural and dry wall work was only fair. The work was eventually completed to our satisfaction, but it sometimes took several iterations for the work to be done properly. An example is the light fixture in the children's bathroom. It was installed prior to the mirror being installed. As a result the height of the light fixture was too low. So it had to be removed and installed at the correct height. Prior planning would have prevented this. Concerning the materials, I give high marks. We are very pleased with the tile and color scheme. The cabinets are also of very high quality and worth the added expense. In summary, we were disappolnted by the lack of a detailed design and project plan. it is not the way that we manage moderate sized projects, so I doubt that we will use them again. The construction also took longer than promised. On the positive side the project was competed to our satisfaction using high quality materials.
Description of Work: Remodeled two upstairs bathrooms, the children's bathroom and the master bath. The children's bathroom was a simple makeover and included new tub, tile, vanity and toilet. The master bath remodeling was more extensive and included enlarging the bathroom, removing the soaker tub and replacing it with a dual head walk-in shower. A new vanity and toilet were also added.

My husband and I hired VKB Kitchen and Bath to remodel a basement and 2 bathrooms in our home. We had relatives that were repeat customers of VKB and knew they had a good reputation. We started working with Joe Zouine. He transformed all of our ideas to one gorgeous Basement and 2 amazing bathrooms. We appreciated his process during the proposal phase because he made it easy for us to understand where our money was going and how to make choices to impact the budget. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and easy to work with. He helped us navigate through the entire process and the many decisions and budget related items that we had to make. He explained the many aspects of the process that were foreign to us as we had never done this before. During the entire phase of these projects, Joe went out to the job site several times even though we had a dedicated project manager to make sure the work was being done properly and course corrected when needed. Everyone we met at VKB was great to work with as well. I shared my Houzz Idea Books and discussed the overall look I was trying to achieve. Everyone was very helpful when we needed to make selections for each phase of the project including paint colors and even small items such as shower door hinges. I was blown away. All who were involved including Denis, Jason and Paul (Owner) made themselves available throughout this process and worked through our design decisions where we needed extra input. Joe has a great design eye and helped us create a space that we really love. Jason Freeman, ourproject manager was also a very experienced talented and personable individual to work with. He was extremely responsive to our many on-going requests. He worked very hard to keep everyone on schedule and moving ahead. He was also there on a regular basis finishing up the punch list. He was like another member of our family. The whole process was expected to take 2 months and VKB came within 2 weeks of their original estimate. As you would expect with 3 large projects going in all at the same time, a few snafus came up along the way. VKB always stood behind their work and went the extra mile to take care of us. We completed the project having an enormous amount of respect for the VKB Team and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel a basement or bathroom. We plan on using them next year to do a kitchen remodel on a rental property we own.

VKB was very professional, timely, and responsive. Junior was our sales lead and he was very accommodating and willing to make sure our bathroom was exactly what we wanted. BUT, I was uneasy with the price the entire project. I was never provided a breakdown of costs or provided an overall budget for items. I still feel as if I don't know where the money was spent. Would have been helpful to have big buckets in a price breakdown so if I went over budget on one thing, I could maybe take from another bucket. We have done several remodels and have always been provided this breakdown with other companies. I also mentioned a coupon I had, but not sure where that was ever applied. We had a mishap on the tiling, but VKB was very quick to respond and offered to retile the whole bathroom. Due to not wanting to delay our project any longer, we opted to keep the tile and VKB upgraded our counter top which was very nice and we appreciated that! They were always available via text, email or phone to address concerns or answer questions throughout that experience. The crew that worked here were very prompt and even worked weekends to finish up. Trash was taken and project area was ALWAYS kept clean and tidy before they left. It would have been nice to have more communication on what tasks were being completed each day/week. Had I known the tiling was going to take place, I could have verified the direction prior to it being completed. But, I started to ask the work crew each day so I knew and that helped. Overall, VKB was great to work with and I would recommend to others if you are comfortable with a lump sum budget. Our bathroom is gorgeous and much more functional!
