In general, the cleaning was fine. In instances when our home was not cleaned to our satisfaction, the company offered to send a crew back out to either re-clean or clean the areas that were initially missed. However, our major concern was a safety issue, which led us to ultimately terminate our arrangement with the company. Specifically, we used a lock-box that allowed the crew to use a combination to retrieve our key to enter our home and then re-lock our home upon exit. We also used a special alarm code for our security system to allow the crew to enter our home and then to re-set the alarm upon departure. On more than one occasion, our alarm was not re-set, and although the key was placed back in the lockbox, the combination was not shuffled or re-set to zero, leaving our combination exposed, our key easily accessible to anyone, and our home vulnerable especially since the alarm was not activated. Although we called to complain, the alarm still was not consistently set, and our lockbox was left exposed on two occasions, back-to-back. I struggled with providing this feedback, but because I would have given pause to using a company if a review of this type was provided, I decided to share our experience.

I have a pretty big home and they seem to do a pretty good job. You may need to monitore the cleaning. If there is a problem, they are willing to resolve.

They have been okay so far. They have broken a few things, but did make it right with me.

They do house cleaning. I use them on a biweekly basis. They are really capable and I have had no problems. They are consistent and generally send me the same team of 2. They are usually done in an around and a half. There are a few things they could do better, but they don't. They are not quite up to my standards, but its okay. Their price is pretty good. They are always here at just about the same time and you know when to expect them. They have been very good about accommodating cancellations. They don't charge for cancellations, but what they do is they come the next Tuesday when they are not supposed to. They get you that way. They do provide you with service, but they reschedule your visits. They don't leave any money at the table. I can't complain, but they don't skip it either because that would affect their bottom-line. The people who work for them are really professional, but they do look a little strange sometimes with eye piercing, odd hair color, or something you wouldn't choose when you walk into a salon. They are very nice and occasionally have a third person whom they are training. The one who comes here on Tuesday, the leader of the 2, she has clown red hair and sort of like a Mohawk. She usually ties it back so it looks all red, but the other time she was here it was not tied back and I could see that other parts of her hair was brown; I thought that was odd-looking. She is the leader of the team and does a good job, so I don't have a problem with that.

They come out and give me a quote for the houses, so it is all different. Their price is good. Sometimes, they used to give me different people. However, I have had the same people now for the last 3 years. I liked them when they came, so I just use them all the time. It was easy to contact them initially, and I never have a problem. After the last one time I wanted to change, I have the same girl since. They did that for me. They send 2 people to do the housecleaning for me. I like them, and they are fine. I will use them again in the future.

They are a franchise. It is better than doing it myself. I am overall pleased. They wouldn't do it exactly as I would, but I don't think anybody would. I am happy with them. They just show up every week on the day they are supposed to come but I have no idea what time they will come.

The Cleaning Authority replaced my former home cleaning service. We have been very pleased with their work and can see a marked difference since we switched to them. Their price is a little higher than I was paying, but they are willing to work with you to keep the cost down. The two initial cleans were a little more expensive than the ongoing price, but you just can't believe what a fantastic job they did on those initial cleans. Again, we are very pleased with their service and would recommend them to friends and family.

I needed a regular cleaning service for my elderly mom. She and my brother live in a single family home in Columbia. The Cleaning Authority has been cleaning this house for a few months now. They come every other week and have done an outstanding job both cleaning the home and dealing with my elderly mom. They get in, clean the house, and get out again fast while doing an exemplary job!! I'm a REALTOR and deal with different trades all the time. These folks are really top notch. Highly recommended!!

The cleaning team is on time and usually does a good job. They have good quality control. A supervisor comes by every couple of months to inspect the job. It is easy to reschedule a cleaning date if necessary.

Excellent, very friendly staff

They are very easy to get in touch with. They are very accommodating with our weird schedules. They call us at the beginning of the month, but they are really flexible if we need to move any of the appointments. They do a great job. There was one team in particular that we were impressed with and they have made sure to send that same team out to our home for the cleanings. We live in a three level town home and the price has only changed once since we have been using them.

We have been using The Cleaning Authority for over a decade (I'm surprised it's taken me this long to share it with Angie's List!). We started out with them cleaning our townhouse every other week. When we moved a year ago, we kept them as our service - increasing the frequency to weekly. Not only do they do an excellent job with the cleaning (and their 'rotation' system really does work), they are extremely responsive and flexible. If we need to move our day (kids are sick and we're home, on vacation so we want to skip), they accommodate our needs. We're very happy with them!
