Chris came by several weeks ago to collection samples for the air quality testing. The test revealed a problem with mold in the basement. Subsequently his crew cleans the air ducts and did mold remediation in the basement. They were very professional leaving everything as they found it. I was very pleased and would certainly recommend them to others.

It went really well. They're a good company, and they stand by their work. They're prompt, answer your calls, and respond to concerns.

Moldgone did a great job back in?Oct 2015. ?However I am writing this review to commend them for a follow up service they did for me just recently in April 2016. ?I am in the process of selling my house, and to my consternation I discovered I had lost the original results of their testing which were favorable. ?In addition it seemed that somehow I had deleted the original email they had sent me with the results as an attachment. ?In a panic I called them and they were able to search their own records and come up with a copy of the favorable mold testing results which they emailed to me. ?The whole process took only a day or two and as a result I can show prospective buyers that there is no mold problem with the residence. ??MY heartfelt thanks go to Mike and John??for coming to the rescue here. ?I would use Moldgone again in the future. ??

I reviewed MoldGone for remediating mold in my garage, but Joe and his team need a special shout-out after the last few days. The buyer's inspector said they found mold in the HVAC unit, even after Joe's team had done their work, so Joe came back out to re-clean the system the next day. Then the buyer said there was dust on the rotor (which is common, especially in older units), so Joe came out again, cleaned each blade with a wire brush, and basically made a 13-year-old unit look as pristine as it could. His quick response to the constant barrage of requests made him not only a favorite of mine, but of my real estate agent. You can't go wrong with this company.

We had been noticing an increased musty smell in our finished basement, and then we we started smelling it in our family room on the main floor. At the same time, we noticed some very serious dry rot in the window casings, and outside where our deck met the exterior wall of the house. We started worrying that we were having problems with moisture invading our house, which would not be surprising, since we live on a wooded lot. So we called MoldGone. The owner, Joe Mulieri, came out to do an inspection--visually and with moisture sensors. He even took some air samples that were sent off to a lab for analysis to get a spore count per cu. ft. of air. Fortunately, we did not have any mold problems. Joe suggested a few simple methods for mitigating the musty smell, mostly involving improving air flow. He also diagnosed the dry rot problem as coming from moisture periodically condensing on the windows, creating a cycle of alternately dampening and drying-out of the wood... something that was also easily and inexpensively repaired. After completing the survey, Joe and I had a long, personable and very interesting conversation. I must say that the extent of his technical knowledge is impressive. Had we serious mold problems, Joe is without question the guy I'd hire to fix it. As it turned out, we did not have a mold problem, and Joe's correct diagnosis saved us a lot of money by allowing us to focus on relatively simple and inexpensive fixes.

Chris was punctual, very professional, and knowledgeable.

The team was quick to respond to my home inspection issues and diagnosed what was needed to remediate the areas. They arrived earlier than scheduled and knocked everything out in five hours. They were able to confirm there were no major issues, just condensation build-up from ductwork, and after treating the areas they wrapped the ducts in insulation and then repaired the opened areas with green board to help prevent mold in the future. Very professional, and they'll be quoting to do the air ducts next.

John inspected the area and tested the moisture content of the subfloor. He confirmed that any mold was gone and recommended we apply AfterShock over all potentially affected areas. John was punctual, professional, and I would definitely work with him and his company again.

Was given estimate, but I have not followed up for repairs yet. Still saving up.

This was a $125 big deal purchase. It was okay. They were supposed to send a detailed report that they never sent. So my feedback is kind of so-so. The guy came out and everything went fine. He said that any issues I had were not really big issues and he kind of gave me some recommendations about what to do, but I figured since I was paying the money for the full kit and caboodle I wanted him to write up the full thing because the way my basement is I was curious about what steps I needed to take for a full basement finish, like if I needed to seal up anything. He said some of that was not necessary and I asked for a full review since I was paying for it. There was some mix up about my email address and he said he no longer had the email address so I never got the report. He was suggesting to me that I get some material at a hardware store and apply it myself where the mold is. I feel like once he realized he was not coming back for any treatments he was kind of done with the whole thing. I feel like it might have been an honest mistake that he didn't really follow up with me so the amount of service that I got from him was decent, but I was a little disappointed in the fact that I wasn't a big client and it really didn't matter. I didn't get any major red flags with the service but it did feel like it was brushed under the rug without having a $3,500 contract coming his way.

The inspector was very helpful in explaining what to do look for and the details of the inspection.

Chris, showed up between the window they provided 1-2pm in a blizzard no less and completed the inspection. From the moment I purchased the service they were communicating with me about setting up an appointment. Chris was thorough and provided a lot of good information and recommended other services that would be good for a first time home buyer. All and all a good buy.

Pretty quick and simple. Once they verified mold, they helped us come up with a plan of attack and provided the services to remove a but of drywall and replace it with green board. Overall happy with the service and the quality of the remediation work.

Jon arrived on time and ready to figure out the issue. He inspected the area in question as well as walked around to be sure there was not another spot that may have mold. He explained some of the different types of mold as well as what type of test he was going to use. Any questions I had were answered but I did have very few because of how well he explained the process. He then set up and took an air sample. Less than four days later he emailed us the Sampling Analysis and Interpretation Documents. The documents were easy to understand and he was sure to let us know that if we had any questions to please contact him any time. This day and age, it is very hard to find a company that has the full package. Jon is someone who has reasonable prices, is professional, honest, and kind. He hits the nail on the head. Should we run into any issues in the future or one of our friend's have any sort of mold or possible mold then we will be sending them Jon's way.

So they came and did a test which was amateurish and incomplete, what they were really doing was trying to sell expensive remediation effort. This was just for the basement, they wanted $12000 they told me right off the bat. I tried to communicate with the owner of the company to find out why it was so expensive because he told me how many hours it would take to do the remediation effort and I figured that out then it came out to some astronomical money per hour per worker and I thought it was asking for an explanation as to what the rest of the money was for and he wouldn't answer that question. This is a real learning process for me and there a lot of people that do this type of work that are not many people that are really masters on it and who talk to you on the level because it seems to me that some of the people we had come in here were caring but their just kind of use to their way of doing things and of what I discovered by going to a number of companies was that none of them were really adequate except for one. I had this technician who came in here who was very thorough, really knew what he was talking about and he had our best interest at heart. We haven't done a remediation yet because of the weather and the best time to do it will be this spring. The mold is pretty much inactive in the winter months and it's not a good time did it get rid of it and keep it gone.

We had large water stains on carpet in basement. I was afraid it might be mold so searched Angie list for mold testing and Moldgone was highly rated. They were very responsive. I placed an inquiry on Thursday and they were at my house on Saturday morning first thing. They indicated the charge would be 125 charge for the inspection. Mike Mulieri came to look at the basement and based on his visual inspection, it wasn't mold. In addition to the carpet in basement he checked the entire basement for me. He ended up not charging me and gave me some pointers on what to look out for, and that it would probably be good to buy a de-humidifier. I was very pleased with the service and the fact that they didn't charge me. Would definitely use them again.

From my first interaction with MoldGone and Jon, everything was prompt, clear, and excellent. We had a mold issue in a rental property. When I called to set up the appt. Jon was able to come out the next day as well as provide me a clear breakdown of possible costs. He was right on time for the appt. and, even though I had anticipated needing to pay for a full inspection, didn't charge me anything because he found a moisture issue and said that this would qualify as their free estimate. He provided a clear quote the next day. The price was very fair, and we booked their services. They remediated the mold issue in one day, repairing the drywall perfectly. The duct cleaning took a few hours and was very thorough. Moreover, Jon honored the Angie's List discounts without my even having to ask/verify. Long-story short...They are great, and we would recommend them to anyone!

We had one year old paint left from when the room was previously painted, so they agreed to use that. However, they were unable to match the paint on the undamaged surfaces. They suggested we let it thoroughly dry. They came back two days later and tried other paint I had, but they were still unable to get a good match. They finally came a third time and took samples to the store for analysis and matching. This worked. I was not charged anything extra for the two extra trips and work, which I found very honorable on their part. All of their staff were very friendly and courteous, and I would recommend them highly for this work.
