Laura Glick – Long & Foster Real Estate

We had been working with a different real estate agent from Sept-Dec 2012, who was terrible, and we had lost out on 3 houses due to her inexperience. After telling our previous Realtor that we were parting ways with her, we contacted Laura Glick. I feel silly admitting this, but I found her by looking through the photos of people willing to work with first time homebuyers on the Long and Foster website. (I was looking for a friendly face. Someone who looked trustworthy, professional, and like he/she had his/her stuff together.) We decided that we wanted to go with a big company that had some strength in such a competitive market (Howard Co.). We truly lucked out with my "look at the photos" method! Laura was wonderful and really helped us with the homebuying process. We learned so much through her. My husband and I are naturally skeptical people, so we double-checked on many things that she told us, but we already knew a lot from working with the prior dud Realtor. Laura is friendly and compassionate. She is honest and wants you to get in a home that you will love, but is realistic and tries to bring you back from la-la land when you are dreaming too big for your budget. By working with Long and Foster, we were able to get everything basically taken care of through their office. The Prosperity Mortgage people are right in that office. The Sage Title Company are also there. Laura helped to arrange a lot of that stuff for us. We did know that we could go with whatever company that we wanted, but it made it very convenient to use the affiliated companies.
