Harold Howard's Painting Service

Harold showed up and said he would send us an estimate. He also recommended that we buy additional paint that would be required for the job, which we did. The estimate came in and we agreed to have the work done. That's the last I heard from him. I tried to phone, email and text him to no avail. So now I have a lot of expensive paint to show for my interaction with him.

We needed to have the inside of our entire house painted in preparation for selling. I chose Howard painting on the recommendation of a friend and he was the only one I got estimates from who accepted credit cards. Mr. Howard did not respond to my emails, but he was available every time I called and he returned my texts. His crew was very friendly and punctual. They did a great job painting and even fixed a hole in a door that we were unaware existed. My issue with Howard Painting is that they threw out my towel holders in one bathroom without asking; they didn't replace the blinds after taking them down; they didn't replace vents in the wall or ceiling after painting and I just discovered that they painted my vinyl window casings on at least two windows! I haven't checked any of the other windows yet. The only explanation I have for them painting the vinyl casing is that it was dirty. I could have cleaned it when they were done. Painting over it was not the professional thing to do. In painting the window casings, they painted over the buttons that pop open so you can lock the windows in a venting position. And, it just looks bad. I am going to have to find someway to fix their mistake. They also removed the smoke detector from a ceiling in the downstairs hall, along with the screws that hold it up. Now I have to find screws to put it back up. I was charged $350 a bathroom even though my husband had painted 3/4 of the half bath which is the size of a closet. I admit the other two bathrooms required extra work sanding down rough areas from previous patching. They did a good job, I'm upset about the windows and losing my towel racks the most.

Harold came out and set up two painters in the morning. The were neat and quick. I had to remind them to paint behind the downspouts. But once reminded them the got it done.

Harold Howard Painting Services were professional from start to end. Mr Howard and his crew made sure that I was pleased with the work. There were very knowledgeable in removing the wallpaper, and did a great job painting my kitchen. On time everyday for 3 days and cleaned up every day. Excellent service and nearly my entire house was done in three days. It ended up being a bit more costly than I would have liked, but the painters did excellent work and did the trim as well. I would definitely hire them again.

His team has to prepare the walls & then paint. The walls now look GREAT! Mr. Howard & his team were very professional & responsive to my questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend him & higher him again.

It was hard to set an appointment with Harold initially and we had to reschedule one time. Once he arrived, instead of knocking he attempted to just walk into my home (our doorbell does not work all the time and since I knew he was on his way I left the front door open with the storm closed so that I could see him pull up so that he didn't think nobody was home, at no time did I say he could just attempt to enter my home without knocking on the storm door). He was very short, the "consultation" only lasted about 5 min. We walked through the home and I showed him what I was looking to get painted as soon as that was done he proceeded to tell me that he would get an estimate over to me without explaining how the job would be performed or what would be included in the price. I had to stop him and tell him that I had some questions about how the project would go. He vaguely answered the questions and told me I would have an estimate by the end of the day because "he did not have much to do that day", needless to say I did not get an estimate until the next day. Since he did not have much to do that day not sure why he was in such a rush to leave my consultation. I laughed when I received the estimate as 80% of it was references of "previous" jobs he has completed (people's names, addresses, and phone numbers were listed, I definitely would not want him sharing my name, phone number, and address with his potential clients) and was significantly higher than other estimates I had received that week. I definitely DO NOT recommend this company.

The work done by 2 of the painters who work for Harold Howard's Painting Service did an exceptional job. We would contract with Harold again in a heartbeat! When we purchased the Angie's List coupon for Harold's Painting Service of $795 for 2 painters for 8 hours, it did take some time to settle on the offer with Harold. Since we had not used Harold's Painting Service before, I was skeptical as to how the job would go. And it did take some time to get the date down, so I wasn't quite sure what to think. Harold justifiably delayed the job about a week because of the horrible weather in late May-early June 2017. But all my concerns vanished the minute the 2 painters showed up and proceeded to provide the most professional, efficient, and quality paint job ever. We pressured Harold to have the front exterior done within the 8 hour time frame. He didn't want to promise that the job could be completed within the 8 hours. He was absolutely correct! The painters did 75% of the job within the 8 hours, but needed to come back (on a Sunday!) and finish. It took them another 3 hours. The painters were very professional and courteous to the passersby who talked with them. They were able to give out as many cards as they had with them. Harold called the next day to see how the job went and if we were pleased with the work. I gushed to him about what a fabulous job his painters did. I brought up to Harold that since the painters came back for 3 hours, that I was sure we owed him some more money. He appreciated that, and came up with a modest $200 extra. I said I wanted to make it $300 because of the quality and how hard they worked. I give Harold Howard's Painting Service an 11 out of 10!

He did exactly what I requested and within the timeframe he specified.

Work was performed timely and professionally. Crew arrived each day on time, and completed the project in the timeframe that had been estimated. They cleaned up their work areas nicely, and kept drywall dust to a minimum.

Very friendly service. Great communication. Mr. Howard responded to all of our emails and voice mail messages. His workers were friendly, professional, punctual and did a very nice painting job. Yes, we will use Mr. Howard's painting services in the future.

Our house was a dark brown (original paint for the home). We did not like it at all, and wanted to get the house lightened up. We spoke with Harold, and he recommended an exterior stain. He had some recommendations for what we should do, and helped us plan. He also identified some locations that needed to be repaired. Some of the wood on the house was eaten and rotten and he was willing and able to get it replaced. The painters came out and spent almost a week making sure everything was done to our liking. They even changed some of the paint schemes as we discussed and saw the products. At the end of the week, the house looked wonderful. The wood was all repaired and looked great, and the paint job was awesome. We have gotten so many compliments on how the house looks now and were thrilled to have gone with Harold!

Harold met with me at my convenience and I was promptly provided a detailed quote for the work. He was more than happy to work out a strategy with us that allowed for a phased approach to painting the multitude of rooms in our home. This allowed us to stay on budget while allowing us to contiue living in the home with no disruption to our everyday livibg. We completed our first phase of painting. We liked Harold's team so much that we are having them perform some additional minor drywall repair and painting in the main areas of our home (from the removal of an old non-functioning intercom system). We are looking forward to continuing our work with Harold's team.

Mr. Howard promptly responded to my request for an estimate and the price he quoted included painting the front door, which I hadn't considered. But after reviewing the estimate I included the door. We agreed on a date and he and his crew were there at the exact time quoted. I feel the price was fair and my house really looks good. I will definitely use him in the future.

GREAT!!! Previously, Harold Howard has painted our entire home twice (two different homes.). We find his work to be very fairly priced. I got a second estimate on one of our whole home projects , and it was double the Harold Howard estimate. All of the work is truly BEAUTIFUL, and the trim work is exacting. His crews, Rene et.al. Are very courteous; easy and pleasant to work with. Harold's commitment to customer service is commendable. On our most recent project, Harold went out of his way to accommodate my requests-specifically on timing of my project! LOOK NO FURTHER THAN HArold HOWARD FOR YOUR PAINTING NEEDS as Harold Howard is EXCEPTIONAL and a GREAT VALUE!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Howard and his team. Mr. Howard is very friendly and professional. He offered us a very fair price for the work to be completed and it was clear he had no intention of trying to rip us off unlike some of the other offers we received. He was there personally on the day to ensure everything was in order. His team of painters did not rush through the process and the final result was very impressive. They even made tiny touchups on a shutter that nobody would have noticed without being 2 inches away. I know this because they asked for the shutter paint. I could hardly see where the touchup was needed. I was very impressed with this company, their attention to detail, pride in work, and I would recommend them to anyone. I'm rarely impressed with contractors which is why we hire as few as possible. I couldn't be happier with this team.

I had aspirations to paint our master bedroom. I got as far as getting the furniture out, switch plates off, spackling, masking, sanding, and even bought the paint. But I ran out of steam and called Harold in a pinch and he sent Bobby the next day. He arrived on-time (early actually), laid his drop cloths, primed (it was tinted primer), took a lunch break while that dried, then painted (one coat) and it was done in less than a day's work! Bobby was friendly and professional and worked with care. They were just what we needed to finish what I started. I'll be happy to do business with them again.

Everything went according to the contract - no problems.

The workmanship was professional and excellent. Mr. Howard was very responsive to all of our requests, gave a very fair price, and his team are very professional and finished both jobs very quickly, cleaning up after themselves so you would not know we had just had a lot of sanding done on the interior house job. We are very pleased with both interior and exterior jobs. I would call him again for any painting job. He even went above and beyond by finding another tradesman to sandblast stubborn paint off of a large exterior patio and pool deck. I give him my highest recommendation.

Mr. Howard visited prior to see the work that needed to be completed and we setup a time for the work to be performed. Work was excellent, clean and professional. I would definitely recommend and look forward to hiring Harold Howard Painters for future work.

As part of re-doing a bathroom, we contracted with Harold Howard's to repair drywall damage and to paint the bathroom and adjacent hallway both of which have cathedral ceilings. We were very pleased with the professionalism he and his crew demonstrated while at our home and are happy with the results. We would certainly consider doing business with them in the future, and have already requested an estimate for another part of our home.
