Harold Howard's Painting Service is the best! They are the only complany I will use ( we have used them for three jobs - this was a repeat of a job they did 10 years ago). Harold is a true professional and has a good eye for what would work in a room. While someone else helped me with the colors, Harold and his team offered opinions and suggestions. They are friendly, polite, professional, thorough, trustworthy, customer service oriented, prompt, meticulous, and any other superlative you could associate with this profession. The first day they prepared all of the rooms by covering every floor to ensure that our newly refinished floors would be protected - but I know this is what they do all of the time. They painted my large front room which had many areas where tape had ripped away part of the wall board. They repaired a hole in the ceiling due to new ceiling lights being installed prior to their arrival. They prepped and painted the newly installed crown molding in two rooms. They removed the 30 year old wallpaper from another room, prepped and painted the walls - there is no sign of the previous wall treatments. They painted the kitchen and family rooms - carefully removing the window treatments in each room and replacing them as though they had never been removed. The crisp clean look of the job that they did brought new life to a 36 year old home. As I said, they are the best and we will only use Harold Howard's painting service.

The owner was friendly and professional from start to finish...returned all correspondence in a timely manner. The condition of the walls and previous paint job were atrocious...I was extremely happy with the finished result, it looks like a new house! I would highly recommend them to friends and I would used their service again.

Harold came out to check out the job and provided an estimate very quickly. His price came in much lower than other competitors we evaluated. We set a date to begin work and the crew showed up right on time. The time to complete the job was very accurate, the crew was very friendly and professional, and the work was done very well. The crew took the time to give their input on how we should paint the tray ceiling which had several different mouldings so we were not exactly sure which areas to paint vs leave white. The end result ended up looking fantastic. After the job was done we noticed a few areas that needed touching up and someone from the crew has already come out to fix these. I highly recommend Harold Howard's Painting Service and we will most likely end up using them when we decide to paint our second floor.

We had found Harold through Angie's list earlier in the spring. We had them do the etching and dry-locking of the cinder-block basement walls before the renovation began. We got 3 or 4 quotes and "on paper" there were certainly more "professional" looking companies out there whom I'm sure do fine work. However I liked Harold's very quick response time, more "familiar" approach, competitive pricing and the fact that he could fit us in to his schedule more quickly too. They did an excellent job then and we loved the crew. So this fall when construction was complete and due to last minute health reasons, I was not able to complete the painting myself as I had planned, we called Harold again. Once again, he responded the same day (I used the Angie's list messaging Ap) and had a quote to us in 48 hours and was somewhat miraculously able to not only fit us in before Thanksgiving, but before the carpet and furniture installation/delivery too. We had a different crew this time. They were no less friendlier than the previous crew and were also very professional as well. We could not believe how quickly they got the work done and it looks amazing. We have loved all our Angie's contractors so far and Harold is among our favorite. We'll be having him paint the exterior this spring as well.

The experience was a good one. The owner contacted me several times to confirm our appointment and he was at the job site to look it over and help the painter. The painter did an excellent job and it was much quicker than I had figured. The owner called me after the job was completed to be sure I was happy with the quality of work, which I was. I have already set an appointment with this company for more painting work in my new home.

Harold is great! We used him to power wash our siding, walk, and driveway and to paint our exterior trim. His estimates were spot on and his prices were reasonable. All the work was done in a timely fashion. He personally inspected his crew's work and had them correct a problem we pointed out as well as one he discovered. We would recommend him to anyone needing these services.

They did a good job overall. I would use them again, but one negative is that they didn't fully clean up after themselves. They installed the shelf, and they didn't fully complete installing the shelf for me. They did a pretty good job as far as painting.

If you are looking for a high quality, reasonably priced painter; you need look no further than Harold Howard -truly. I have used Harold Howard twice now , to paint my entire home; and I have nothing, but FABULOUS things to say! The quality of his work is exceptional-trim work is beyond beautiful! I found his estimate to be quite reasonable ((In fact, half the price of another estimate that I was quoted.). Additionally, I would like to add that his crew are very nice, accommodating men which was important to me as I'm a disabled person.

Mr. Howard completed the work in one day and came back for touch ups required because the paint on our front door had not dried smoothly in the sun. Very accommodating.

Harold helped me come up with good ideas for painting the trim and adjacent walls. The job turned out beautifully. I was out of state and had not moved in yet, so we mailed him a key to get started. It looks great, and I enjoyed working with him.

They were really dependable and if we need them again, we'd give them a call. They showed up on time.

I contacted 3 painters with the AL ap. Harold was the first to respond. He came to our home the same day and was the first to send us our quote and included several recommendations with it. His quote was the lowest of the three. They were very flexible with our time frame and began the work on time. It did take a little longer than anticipated but was understandable and did not effect the price. We are very happy with the work and would recommend them and use them again. In fact they are now quoting us the paint the exterior of our home.

I had used Harold Howard's Painting Service in the past. I actually found them before and I found them on Angie's List. I was looking on Angie's List for my mother but I have used them in the past. I want to say that the exterior was probably 2500 dollars and the half wall was probably 1300 or so and I am estimating. I think the price was very reasonable. The quality of his work was good. He was very responsive. I was very happy with the end result and his project. He came out very quickly whenever I have reached out to him. I do believe that for the half wall they did build shelves and I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they did exactly what I wanted.

Punctual, very pleasant polite and hard working crew. Large ceiling drywall repair is invisible and the paint job is very nice in all areas. Area draped and sealed off well. Daily and final clean up was good. Amenable to requests throughout service. Couldn't imagine a nicer group or better service.

They were professional and the price was within reason. I just decided to use someone else because I needed more extensive work done. I have used them for painting services in the past, and they did a very good job.

Harold Howard was very creative and very professional. He made quality work but the bid was higher than the guy we went with.

Harold was punctual and courteous. He came on time for the quote and gave me a price within 24 hours. His quote was inline with other competitors, but he seemed to be the most honest and straight-shooting of the group. I gave him the job and he did not disappoint. He had a very polite, lively, hardworking crew come to my place at the promised time. Originally Howard said the work would take one day to complete. I guess there was more nail-pops and prep work than he originally estimated, after the first day, the crew had all the walls Spackled, sanded, de-nail-poped, and ready for painting. They had to come back a second day to do the actual painting. So even though his estimate of the time to completion was off, I'm glad that they took the extra day to do it right and didn't try to rush through it. The paint went on the second day without any issues. The final product looked great. After a couple of days, I did notice one problem area, and Howard sent someone back to fix it up. That was much appreciated. So the issues I had were: I had a stairwell painted and the work looked really good, but as time went on, I noticed small splatters on the carpet, the railing, and a piece of furniture. Nothing too critical, but certainly noticeable for someone that looks at it every day. Before the work had began, I sent an email stating which paint colors should be applied to which rooms. When Howard first showed up to the job site, he didn't have the email and he didn't have any sticky notes or even a pen. I had to dig through my recycling bin to find paper, rip it up, write the colors on them, and scotch-tape it to all the walls. I though that was a bit unprofessional. Finally, I was never given an option to select the quality of the paint. Howard's team used Benjamin Moore "Super Spec" paint, but I would have much preferred "Regal Select." He did leave the several gallons of left-overs though.

Late for initial appointment (with an advance explanatory call), gave his pitch then disappeared. Never called, e- mailed or showed up after coming for the assessment. Nothing.

He arrived on time and did a great, timely job!

We'd been accumulating a to-do list over the years and what prompted our getting the work done now was our daughter's decision to remove the powder room wall paper which had been peeling pretty badly. She had planned to repaint but the spackling required was extensive so we decided to find someone to do it for us. Mr. Howard was one of several painters we contacted. His bid was competitive but we were swayed by the fact that he held out more hope for the deck than the others who thought it needed extensive repair if not replacing. Just after we accepted his bid we were hit by hurricane Irene and had to tell him that we needed to first have our roof repaired (actually replaced) before he would be able to start, this also caused additional water damage in our ceiling. Due to continued bad weather, we were not able to schedule him to come until about a month after the roof replacement. His crew were prompt and courteous and after every step made sure we were happy with their work and indicated that if we later had any problems they would be happy to address them. The work took a day or two longer than originally expected, but that was due to bad weather. Everything looks great. The power-washing of the house was mainly to get rid of some algae on the north side but we were surprised at how much brighter all of the siding looked afterward. The painters tightened up much more of the deck boards than they had expected to but didn't complain--they only thought they would be painting. Even the deck rails (which were really the only things that showed some deterioration) look much better. The water stains in the kitchen ceiling are gone and the powder room looks wonderful.

Mr. Howard and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Highly professional, helped me figure out precisely what I needed to be done, flexible with scheduling the painting around our travel, got the work done on time with no disruption to our lives. The paint job looks better than the original, used enough primers and coats to keep it looking nice longer than the painting the builders did.

We just moved into our new house and were under a time crunch. We wanted to have the house painted before our things came in the moving trucks. Harold and his team were extremely thorough and professional. He was helpful in suggesting certain areas that would benefit painting but was not pushy at all. His pricing was reasonable and similar to his initial estimate.
