DJ sympathized with our situation and managed to schedule one of their plumbers who had expert knowledge of our water heater to make a call to our home in between a couple of other service calls that he had to make. When Keith showed up, he was very polite and professional and immediately put protective slippers on over his work boots. He set to work and had our hot water heater repaired in no time. I would totally recommend this company. In fact, I gave their name to my realtor so that she could add them to her agency's list of recommended plumbers.
Description of Work: We woke to discover that we had no hot water. When my husband checked the water heater, the control panel was displaying a #6 error code. I called Ehrhardt Brothers since they were a locally located plumbing company and explained the situation. The office manager, DJ, asked me for the serial number and other identifying information on our water heater and looked up the error code so that she could find the part that needed to be replaced. She found that they had the part in stock.

 + -1 moreWent great. Failure happened on a Friday, but they weren't able to come out until the following Tuesday, which wasn't a big deal - bucket under the sink kept the leak from doing any damage. Technician showed up promptly, confirmed what the representative I spoke with over the phone thought, and was able to knock the job out in about an hour. Pricing is fair, though a touch on the more expensive side.
Description of Work: Found a leak under the sink and identified it as the garbage disposal. Called Ehrhardt Brothers immediately; based on my description they thought it was that the casing had rusted out and would need to be replaced.

We've used them before and don't even get quotes from other companies because we know the quality of their work. They did a beautiful job and were so patient about figuring out how to re-route our plumbing to accommodate a major reno of a small, full bath. Mike gives great advice as well. It is very clear that he has a lot of experience. It's so reassuring to work with him.

 + -1 moreI was very surprised by what happened with Ehrhardt Plumbers. A friend recommended them to me, and I see that many people here on AL report positive experiences with this company. Unlike the other reviews of this company, I received an extremely overpriced estimate. I asked them to separate the cost for materials, number of hours, and hourly cost in the estimate. They said they would be glad to do this, but then neglected to do so. I am aware of how much the materials would cost for this job. I am also aware that the labor involved should not exceed six hours (probably closer to three hours). This job does not include excavation, but simple laying down pipe and connecting it to the county main, and acquiring a permit. Even if I were to assume that it would require ten hours to do this job (which is very long), how can they ask $7,300? No one should be expected to pay a plumber $600+ per hour. This estimate that they gave me is aggregiously overpriced, to the extent of being downright unethical. I have received other estimates from nearby plumbers that included more work, at less than half the price. I hope that other people see this and choose to look elsewhere for their plumbing work.

We hired them. It was that simple. I've recommended them over and over again. I honestly don't know how fair their price was because we were so pleased with their work that we didn't make price an issue. Because we didn't do any comparative shopping it was fair to us. They were phenomenal. I want them to know how much we loved them.

 + 0 moreI called for service on a Tuesday late afternoon and was given a two-hour window for service the next day. The office called us ahead of time to let us know that the plumber was on his way. Rob arrived on time, was courteous, efficient, and performed the work in a timely manner. He was able to clear the drain in a little over an hour using an auger (this was an EXTRA stubborn clog!). He used shoe covers and a drop cloth in the work area and was respectful of our home. We were more than happy with the work performed and thought the price was fair. We had been notified ahead of time of what the minimum price would be so there were really no surprises. We would definitely call Ehrhardt Bros. again and recommend them highly!
Description of Work: We needed a clogged drain cleared in a pipe between the sink and bathtub in our master bath.

 + -1 moreThe service was excellent. Keith came, explained options, answered all questions, then efficiently replaced the sink drains, piping, trap, and garbage disposer (which we supplied). Prior, there were leaks in the 15-year old garbage disposer as well as in plumbing joints. For the double sink configuration he installed two traps in place of the former one-trap system. Now everything is working great and should serve us well for years. I don't know how it could have gone better.

 + -1 moreOur shower handle stopped functioning resulting in a steady leak into the tub...of course, just before coming arrives for the holiday. We called and received almost immediate service. We were fearful that the entire wall would have to be broken into since there wasn't easy access and were delighted to find out that the cartridge could easily be replaced. They were also able to replace a faucet in our garage and two in our utility room all in less than an hour! This is the second time that we have used Ehrhardt and we can't commend them highly enough. They are knowledgeable, courteous, professional and proficient. They were punctual and quick, clearly explaining what the issues are and providing cost-effective ways of addressing them. We are 100% satisfied and suspect you will be as well if you contact them for your plumbing needs.
