In the past year, three toilets began to share a similar problem of constantly running. Jiggling the handle was the norm followed by having to lift the tank lid to press the flapper into place. I called to make an appt and was able to schedule repair for the next day. The person on the phone was very helpful and efficient. When i asked how much it would be roughly, she said a basic service call is $150 and then about $50 for each toilet. The actual cost was less than that, plus I used the 10% coupon from Angie's list. Mike arrived a within an hour of the scheduled time and went right to work. He replaced the flow mechanism but because the cut out for the flush handle was too small, could not replace the handles. Mike completed the work in a very timely fashion and was very pleasant and professional. I will definitely use this company again.

Extremely well. Ehrhardt Bors Plumbing completely changed their schedule to accommodate a leaking water heater in the morning so we could still leave for Christmas in Ohio. They responded very quickly and did a great job. We will definitely call on them again.

Mike Ehrhardt came out to do the service. He was very thorough and explained everything he was planning to do and did perform. He actually looked at another sump pump we had installed by another service provider and he discovered issues with that sump pump. He found that the black twisty tie that was included in the packaging was actually left in the sump pump pit. He noticed that the sump pump should have been elevated from the gravel base. He fixed the slope of the sump pump discharge pipe so that it drained down and not up. He also replaced the crack in the pipe. He also provided information on how to keep gravel outside of the pump. He was very patient and replaced washers in the laundry room sink while I ran to the store to get a paver to sit the pump on. I really appreciated his respect for our property, as he took his shoes off before he entered our home. I appreciated his expertise and his obvious pride that he took in his work, and his willingness to go the extra mile in taking care of our needs. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future.

Did a fantastic job repairing the leak in my pedestal sink without removing the sink. Very happy with the repair. Definitely will use this contractor again.

I called Erhardt and spoke to the owner. He was aware of these old metal showers and understood I preferred to fix it rather than replace it. I also replaced an original spigot on a wash sink. Very professional, great suggestions. It took 6 weeks to get the parts for the shower, but they came as soon as they received the parts. The plumber was professional, worked fast and made good suggestions. They aren't inexpensive, but I couldn't find anyone else who could handle this problem.

Ehrhardt has become our go-to plumber. They are easy to deal with. They are honest. They do quality work. What more can you ask for?

I explained how my basement bathroom always had poor drainage from the shower, toilet and wash tub. The line became blocked when I poured water into wash tub from cleaning up problems from hurricane Sandy. I toilet plunged the line and sewage came out my shower. Mike Ehrhardt asked about how plumbing was set up in my house (bathrooms, kitchen, sewage, and sump pump). He determined that my basement sewage line off my main line was clogged. The plumbers then removed my basement toilet. They brought in a device that ran a large cable along with some kind of large sharp clippers at the front. They found the clog about 15 feet down the line and cleared the blockage. I really appreciate that Mike Ehrhardt explained the problem in detail. Mike determined that the scope of the problem. They took good care that nothing was damaged in my bathroom. They were extra careful in keeping the mess to a minimum. The plumbers cleaned up the bathroom after they were done. I am ecstatic that I no longer have a basement drainage problem (Something that I had been living with for years.)

They were a lot less expensive than the competition. They also were able to do it without digging up our yard. They were very dedicated. They were out there for a number of hours and completed the job. I was very impressed with them.

I felt that it went really well over all. I loved that the person arrived on time and could and did fix my issue. The plumber was able to explain his issues and ask clear questions, as well as clearly answer any questions I had. I did think their prices were high, but in the end if you fix my problem the first time, I end up happy with the service. For me a lower priced option, that may not fix the problem the first time, is not a good solution.

Mike Ehrhardt came out promptly and gave a reasonable estimate. His back-office person was very cooperative in scheduling around our needs. On the appointed day, Mike and Keith came out and did a very professional job of installation. It was clear that they have standards and don't cut corners. The work took longer than I think Mike had counted on, but he stuck to the original estimate--no quibbling. He even insisted we live with the new laundry room for the weekend to make sure it was the way we wanted it rather than accept payment immediately. We'll certainly be calling Ehrhardt Bros. next time we need plumbing work done.

I called on a Monday morning to schedule an appointment for later in the week because I felt that the leak(s) in the kitchen sink were small enough to not be urgent. They had someone who was able to come out about 45 minutes after the call so it was taken care of that day. Keith arrived promptly 45 minutes later and patiently listened to my theories on where the leaks might be coming from. After checking several possibilities, he was able to redo a cement joint that had not been fully sealed (my fault), and the replaced the cartridge and o rings in the faucet that were causing a couple more small leaks. Keith clearly explained everything that he did and was very professional. I would definitely call Ehrardt Brothers again.

He would rarely come to the job site. We had drawings and plans from the architect that he wouldn’t bring or give to his team. He wouldn’t come to the jobsite and he would change his crew each day. I had to supervise and explain the job each day that the crew showed up. We would spend hours working with a plumber and then a different one would be sent the next day. We wasted a lot of time. Overall, the guy is very disorganized and has very poor team leadership and project managing skills. His plumbers complained about him all the time because they didn’t even know the job they were going to each morning. We had a number of plumbing projects that needed to be done because they needed to be redone. He failed to show and report for each inspection. The inspector finally wrote on the report that the plumber must attend the next inspection because he made so many mistakes and violation of codes that there were just too many to list. He never took responsibility and he had zero problem solving ability. Every time we had a plumbing problem, we had to reschedule all of the subcontractors. He was very, very unresponsive. When we requested him to come, they couldn’t schedule an appointment until two weeks from then. When he didn’t show, we called the office and the receptionist would say that they could not reach him. When he actually would come, he would explain many things that he said would not work. There were about three big issues that he said couldn’t be solved and we would have to throw away expensive materials that we purchased. Finally, months later, we found that all three of the issues were able to be resolved. They only took some small problem solving skills that I figured out myself. It happened so many times, delayed the project, and caused it to be such a very stressful project.

I needed a quick turnaround time for some leaky valves I encountered doing some diy plumbing work. I called Ehrhardt in the morning and a plumber was out within a few hours. The problem was diagnosed and I got an initial estimate based on their hourly rate as told on thephone. Got the work done quickly and fixed the leaks. Pleasure to work with Ehrhardt.

Ehrhardt's price was very competitive. Their knowledge of local requirements and their experience is extensive. Because the new building is attached to the old building there were a lot of difficult and found conditions. - Ehrhardt was able deal with all of these and keep the work on schedule and within budget. I found the quality of their work and their response at each stage of the job to be excellent. They were very helpful in dealing with the many found conditions on the job, in getting approvals from the local government and in obtaining the best plumbing products at the best prices. One advantage with Ehrhardt is that they are big enough to handle a large job and not so big that they won't handle something as small as fixing a faucet. I think their size also allows them to give you the personal attention of the owner of the company, with low overhead, and an emphasis on service and quality. Other larger companies are more expensive, impersonal, have little accountability and have too many inexperienced people doing the work. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber. I have used them off and on for about 20 years and have not been disappointed.

Had an energy audit performed in which the inspector noted a small gas leak. I first called a highly rated plumber on Angies List based on his reviews to come out and fix the leak. He looked at the leaky pipe at length and quoted me $450 to fix the leak, but as he didn't have the size pipe he needed with him on the truck and he said he would get the parts and call me the next morning to set up the appointment. The next morning i received a call from the plumber with news that the estimated time to repair the leak increased to 2 to 3 hours and the cost up to $750. At that point I called Ehrhardt Brothers and and spoke with Kathy. I was a bit leery at first after the estimate by the previous plumber for what I originally assumed to be a simple job. Brian came out in the afternoon and did the job the way the first plumber had explained he would have to fix it in 1 hour and without replacing any of the pipe. Overall, I was very pleased with Brian's professionalism and work ethic. I will be using them for my future plumbing needs.

Mr. Keith was prompt at 7:00am and explained what he was doing. He was very clean and neat as he went along doing the work and cleaned up afterwards.

They gave me prompt service within 2 hours of me placing the call. A team of two men, including the owner cleared the clog within the time they estimated me over the phone. I was very pleased with their service and professionalism.

My elderly parents had a water leak in the ceiling of their bathroom. I called in the morning and had a very good experience with the person I spoke with. Arranged to meet the plumber between 1 and 3 explained that my father has Alzheimer's. The office called me at 1:45 to let me know the plumber was on his way. Keith arrived at 1:55 and was very professional and sympathetic about my situation with my father. He was very pleasant and communicated my options very clearly to me. He did the work in a very professional and friendly manner. He was fantastic. I would highly recommend Keith and Ehrhardt Brothers!

He was excellent. He was neat, on time, he did everything I asked him to do. He also cleaned up after himself.

After convincing the owner that I really did want someone to come look at the hot water heater (according to the Home Energy Auditor it was putting out too much CO, but drafting well). I appreciate the owner wanting to save me money by saying that those models don't really break- they just stop working, but it's CO- safety first! Keith came out and was GREAT! Listened to my concerns and was efficient and friendly the whole time. It's hard to find a trust worthy plumber and Keith is it! I will definitely use him again. There wasn't an immediate CO issue, but I was told that eventually it will just die. I'll use them when that time comes!

I called the afternoon before and they were at the house at 7:30AM the next morning. They were professional, pleasant and got the job done in 30 min. I will definately use this company again when I need a plumber.

A larger project involving a crushed line from the sump pump was handled poorly. We repeatedly needed to call the company to find out when they were going to return to finish the work - this continued for more than 4 weeks. The customer service was extremely poor, and they were not responsive at all. My impression was that they had no interest in completing the work . They indicated that a rainy spell had prevented rescheduling but there were many dry periods over this time when the work could have been rescheduled and completed had it been a priority for the company. At one point I requested that a manager return my call but that never happened. Finally, during the last contact with the company, I told them to forget it and that I would find another company to finish the project. I advised that dealing with them on this issue had been extremely frustrating from a customer perspective, and that I was very disappointed. I regret having to file this report because I've had good experiences with this company previously.

I thought that their hourly rates were fair. What was great was that they knew what they were doing. I'll pay whatever the going rate is. What I don't want to do is pay the going rate to someone that takes a lot longer than they need to. I really can't explain enough how happy I am.

I set up an appointment yesterday afternoon, and Keith arrived promptly at the scheduled time of 7:00 am this morning.I showed him the slow toilet that some plumbers from another company had been unable to fix.He said the problem was due to clogged jets in the toilet, instead of a clogged drain.He cleaned the jets, and the toilet flushed like a million bucks!Next I showed him the stopped drain on the wash basin.The plumbers from the other company said they couldn't do anything because they'd have to cut the drain pipe, and didn't have supplies on hand to fix it.Keith said that was nonsense and snaked the drain pipe, and now that works too.He was done in about an hour.
