It took a little bit of effort to coordinate the date and obtain specifics from the owner, but overall, the two painters who arrived to perform the work were courteous, professional, and neat. We discussed painting the designated areas, filling any small holes, and mixing the two cans of paint to ensure uniformity of color when applied. The deal was for 8 hours for 2 painters, but in less than 7 hours they were walking out the door before I could request more trim to be painted in the additional time that was available. I signed off on the paperwork without creating an issue of it because they did accomplish what I initially requested. However, after they left, I noticed that the holes from the curtain rods on the window frames were not filled (we were not intending to put the rods back up), and the inside of the closet door was not painted. In addition, there is a visible 1-2" lighter color strip in the areas around two door frames and the ceiling which indicates that either some of the cutting in was not done with the mixed paint, or was missed entirely since we were re-painting with the same color. I contacted the owner immediately that evening, and he said he would be able to speak with me about it another day, but I have not heard from him.

Definition painting painted our living room and bathroom. The price was great. Dealing with the employees was very easy. During the consultation he was very clear about what was provided and what we needed to provide. The morning of the actual painting, the painter showed up at the beginning of the window of time given to us and finished hours ahead of when was expected. He removed curtains, blinds, and mirrors before painting, and replaced them all when finished. He did an excellent job. We would choose this company again in a second.

The estimator under estimated time to complete job. Workers arrived at 10 am, didn't leave until 9 pm. Painters did not prime the job (primer was provided), so I had to go back over their work. They neglected to paint one of the bathroom doors.

Good service and professionalism...too expensive.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience from the beginning to completetion of the project. Joel came to measure the area to be painted and gave me an estimate on the additional work to be done. He even told me that paint store was having a big sale and I could get the paint at a larger discount than what they as contractors get. They arrived on time and continued till the job was completely finished. Their clean up also included vacuuming the floors. I thought the price was excellent compared with the quality of work. I have already referred friends of mine to them as well as Angie's List.

Joel did an amazing job. He gave us recommendations on the type/brand of paint to purchase, as well as the amount of paint needed - taking out the guesswork. The results are amazing - clean lines, even coating, no blemishes. A very professional job.

The painter came at 8:00 am as scheduled. He was very professional and courteous throughout the entire project. I was pleasantly surprise at the quality of the workmanship. Even the accent wall was done perfectly to my specifications. I have already recommended the company to some co-workers and I am planning on hiring Definition Painting again for my next of many painting projects.

Purchased the $450 painting special on Angie's. We made arrangements for Mr. Alvarado to come by so we could show him the area we wanted painted and to get an estimate on some tile work we needed. He was prompt, friendly, and professional. He painted the sunroom and replaced the marble tile on the fireplace with granite tile. Both jobs were at the estimated amounts and both were very nicely done. I have no complaints whatsoever. In fact, I plan to contact him soon for additional painting and carpentry work.

Excellent work. They came on time, they were fast, and everything was clean and neat when they left.

They arrived right on time and immediately began covering all the floors and taping off all the shelves. The guys did a great job repairing all the ceiling cracks, drywall tape splits and nailpops. They were very professional and thorough in repairing everything and the wallpaper removal went well although I think the walls were so saturated with the paste removal solution that they were still a little too wet to have primed and painted so the room still smells a little funny even after 2 weeks. The guys were so professional in painting that they were able to freehand all the edges perfectly...amazing! They even went over the paint job and redid anything that wasn't smooth. The job took a little longer than they had anticipated and we ran down to the wire so I think the cleanup was the only area they fell short on although every little detail I asked them about they took care of. The paint job is beautiful in all three rooms with perfect coverage and beautiful edging. There was alot of drywall dust I had to clean up on the floors and shelves and off of the speakers, etc. There was paint on the interior shutters and and on our barnwood walls which I haven't figured out how to remove but considering the scope of the project they did a great job. I think the problem was with the "B" team not the A players who worked upstairs. We are still trying to put how to clean the glass in the skylight which was all smeared up and should have been cleaned but I think time just ran out. I'm sure they would have have cleaned it with more time. I wish we hadn't been so pressed for time because I feel like they would have addressed all these issues.

I called the company to set up an appointment to take advantage of my big deal. I got the response email us, don't call. I then emailed them with an appointment time, it did not work for them. We then set up another appointment and nobody showed, I then called them and they then said they needed to cancel the appointment and that they would not make it. I am no longer going to pursue using their service.

Definition painted did an excellent and efficient job. Originally we thought they were only going to get through three rooms but they were able to paint the walls of five rooms. Joel provided us with a list of materials we needed beforehand and we scheduled everything through e-mail. I would definitely recommend using this company to paint your home.

The work was done well overall and the painter actually did a terrific job. I was puzzled though that there were two painters to start with but there was only one painter there at the end and I thought if both had been there, they would have finished in one day instead of two. However, the job was well done.

Great work. The painter arrived on schedule and reviewed the work and materials. He made sure all the furniture was covered and put up plastic barriers across doors to the other rooms. He then worked non-stop except for a brief lunch break. The special deal worked well for me and I am very satisfied with with Definition Painters. I will use them again for interior painting jobs.

He came a 1/2 hour late but it didn't matter because he only used up 3 hours of the alloted 8 hr time slot. I had him paint two coats in my high ceiling family room and the downstairs hallway. He put drop clothes down on all the floors and was very neat. I purchased good rollers because I wanted his time to be as efficient as possible and the better the roller quality the more paint it will hold. He did not have a tall enough ladder but luckily I had one in the garage. I am very happy with the work done.

From the beginning they were on time and started working right away. The team was professional, they cleaned up every day even though there was no furniture and we were not living in the house yet. They went about their business and I had confidence that they would do a good job because we communicated all along. They did an excellent job and even prepped 2 bedrooms we would be painting ourselves for holes in the walls and nail pops. The final job is just beautiful, it's amazing what a difference paint can make in your home. I highly recommend Definition Painting Services for expertise and price. I had estimates from four painting companies and I selected Definition Painting because it is a family business and they care about their reputation.

Definition came right on time at 8 am the day they were supposed to arrive. Joel had come by about a week before and we discussed exactly what they would provide and what we needed to purchase. He also told us we could get a discount on the paint if we showed them his business card, and the discount was significant. They were there from 8AM to 4PM, two men, and managed to fix the batched job up our stairs, our downstairs landing, upstairs landing, living room and dining room. I could not believe what they accomplished in a short period of time and the job is near perfect. I am so happy I purchased the Big Deal and will be hiring them again for paint jobs in the future for sure.

They were very prompt when they came for the estimate. They were willing to do the work when I was unable to do it as soon as I had hoped. They came back and stayed with the original price of the estimate. They were very fast. They completed the work in 4 complete work days. They were able to schedule the work for a few days later and they didn't try to change the price even though it had technically expired.

I can not answer this question since the work has not even been started.

I bought a coupon from Angie's for two painters for 8 hours from Definition Painting Services, Inc. The coupon included supplies (except paint and caulk). You can imagine my shock when the painters arrived (one appeared to be an apprentice) and I was told I had to buy plastic covering, paper for floor, spackle and even roller brushes. I could hardly believe it - especially when the coupon indicated this material would be provided. I sent an e-mail in advance to the owner confirming I would provide the paint and caulk per the coupon but that the painter would provide the other materials. This was also discussed over the phone. Well that didn't happen so i had to leave the painters unattended at my house and rush to Home Depot to buy the supplies they needsed- for $92. I called the owner, Joel Alvarado, and he was very rude to me over the phone saying there is no way he should be expected to provide those supplies. I told him to check Angie's List and I even e-mailed him the fine print. He said he is not responsible for what is in the coupon as it is Anglie's List who puts the deals together. Can you believe that? The other issue I had is that the paint job was very unsatisfactory. The border was different throughout the area they were painting from the roller brush areas. It looked awful. I asked the painter about it and he said they were almost done as the paint was about to run out. Did it ever cross his mind that I should just go and buy more paint? I couldn't believe they had to put on a third coat. Afterall, they were covering white walls with a medium shade mustard color. When I asked why the need for a third coat the painter said the paint I bought was not of high standard. Well, I received many recommendations to go with Behr (Home Depot) Ultra Premium Plus paint and consumer reports ranks it as #1. I couldn't believe that he tried to blame it on the paint. I bought more paint and they finished the job on the second day. Somehow on the second day they managed to stretch out the painting for a full 8 hours. This included two hours of touching up the crown molding because they failed to tape it. The second painter had nothing to do towards the end because they were done painting but that did not stop them from billing me for 8 hours for two painters. I would not use them again - no way.

Overall we were very satisifed with the quality of the work. They arrived on time and finished in one day. They cleaned up very well, and we had minimal paint splatters. We felt that the estimate was very fair. The price exceeded the good buy from Angie's List because the square footage of the walls was greater than allowed, however the extra was pained at the same rate as the sale price. There was a mix-up in the date the work was to be done, but an accommodation was quickly made to meet our needs. We would recommend that the date of the work be written on the contgract, and that confirmation be sent by e-mail when it is scheduled.

They were really awesome. I would rate them at the highest rating. I like that they are local. Without knowing very much, they didn't try to sell me on stuff that I didn't need. They seemed to get a good understanding of what I needed and found the least expensive way I could go about getting it done, and they worked with me to accomplish exactly that. I didn't know you could take a sample of the paint to this particular store down the road that they knew the name of that I had never been to. You would be amazed, they did an absolutely perfect job matching that paint. They educated me on some things and they helped me to help myself, and they helped me save money. When I want to get my basement repainted or get more work done, I will definitely go with them. I'm not a construction worker, but I know enough about construction to know when I'm being ripped off or taken for more money. They didn't do that. I don't know if I should share this, because I don't want everyone else using them; they were that good.

I bought a $450 from AL , then got in touch with Definition. The were very responsive and we agreed on a time for the work. My painting needs were greater than the $450 deal provided so they honored the deal rate for the rest of my work. They showed up on time and did a great job! They have my highest recommendation. I will use them again.

The service was excellent. There were no issues at all, and they did a great job. I would recommend them.
