Great experience overall...had a touch of a communication issue to start with but Joel quickly resolved that with me. They were on time and worked long and hard to complete the job within the tight deadline I had for them. All I can say is that I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

Joel, the owner, could not have been more professional or nicer when he came to initially meet me. The deal I bought on Angie's List was 3 rooms for $450 (up to 500 sq ft.) I had also asked for an estimate for another room as well. He offered a small discount for doing that room if I scheduled it for the same day as the other rooms were being done. Joel gave me the names of 2 companies that he bought his paint from and told me to show his business card in order to get his contractor rate. This was helpful, as I needed to buy 6-7 gallons of paint and some of it was originally $70/gallon! His crew arrived as scheduled and worked steadily throughout the day.They were very neat and put drapes down on the floors leading from the front door to the stairs. They cleaned up the rooms afterwards. Joel had estimated that they would be there until 4:30 or so but they finished up around 2:30. They did an excellent job! Have since given this company's name/number to 2 other friends who are looking to have painting done.

The services were done, I bought it for my daughter and they were extremely pleased with the work that was done, however that ended up costing them more than they anticipated because it was for a very small service area, I think it was double that, plus they had to provide the paint. They are coming to give me an estimate on Wednesday. I saw the work that they did, it was lovely. My daughter said that they were extremely respectful. They did a very nice job. They were nice to work with and their work was immaculate really, the lines along the ceiling, for the ceiling and the wall was perfectly straight, they did a nice job and I think they cleaned up the mess and it was all good.

I purchased a big deal from them but they don't service my area.

I worked the night before, was overtired as the paint job was being done, and fell asleep on the couch. The painter finished the job and left in the afternoon while I was slept. He was very professional, and I was very satisfied with the job.

It was fine. They were quick, efficient and on time.

Joel Alvarado never showed up for our scheduled appointment. As of 10:40 this morning, Mr. Alvarado had not arrived for our 10:30 appointment. He had not called either. I then called his cell phone. He did not answer and his voicemail box was full. I was unable to leave him a message. We waited for him until 11:05 and still no call, no show. At that point, I sent an email to Mr. Alvarado requesting a refund of our $450.00 and advised him that I do not do business with a company that is not dependable and does not honor their commitments. If he was unable to make our appointment or needed to reschedule, he could have easily called or emailed. There is no excuse for this type of unprofessional behavior.

Everything went well. The painter was on time, did the work as promised, and did a quality job. He was also courteous and professional as well as very careful to avoid getting paint on my belongings. I really appreciated that he didn't count the time that he took to fetch a ladder as part of the 8 hours that we purchased.

The painter who came to our home is an employee of the the company even though the appointment was set by the owner. The guy was very professional, prompt, and courteous. He painted our entire bedroom with two colors. He had an amazingly still hand because he cut a serious edge on the contrast of colors. He took great care of our carpet and cleaned up everything when finished.

They were really friendly and did a really nice job. There were here on time and did exactly what they were supposed to.

Provider made an appointment to perform services on August 10. Emailed provider on 8/9 to confirm appointment but never received an response. Provider never came to the house. Called provider cell but mailbox was full and couldn't leave message. I still have not heard from the provider and would like a refund.

They came out after I purchased the "Big Deal and they were absolutely excellent. It was not a big job but they were very prompt, they came when they said they would come and did a wonderful job. We were very pleased with the service.

3 painters worked for about 9.5 hrs to finish the work. They put two coats of paint on the walls and did all the doors and trim work. They were able to do the job on a very tight schedule- I called on July 18th and they were able to do the job on the 27th. I thought the price was a little high, but they did an excellent job. The place looks great.

I was extremely satisfied with the superior work that was performed and the few little things that needed tweaking were done on a timely matter. I would definitely recommend this business to all my friends.

It went fine. They did a nice job. I paid additional amount as it was lot larger job than what we prepaid for it was about twice as high and I was fine with it. The only thing that did take me back little bit was I paid for the paint, the paint was not included in the offer. On the Angie's list offer the offer said however much it was for so many square feet of painting that was fine and that was just for labor only that didn't include the pain. The paint by itself was another $200 or so. They were little bit high on price compared to other bids that I have got and the other bids did include the paint. The quality was very good. The owner apparently was having trouble either he is receiving email or telephone calls,which he got resolved, but it took a while to get a hold off him. Once he got his problem resolved it was okay. They were nice guys. I would not use them again.

The initial deal was 3 painted rooms for $450. Although the fine print didn't say, the painter told be the ceiling was not included. Hence, more money. Ok I can live with that. Since they were there and doing a good job I asked for more painting which they stated a price and we agreed. One challenge was since they allotted a certain amount of time for the job and it took longer they had to come back. Unfortunate for me they were tightly booked so getting them back with someone in the house was a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, good paint job, sharp lines, consistent color throughout the walls. I'm happy with the work.

Everything was fine. We were very pleased with him. We will use him again.

It went well. The only small glitch I had is the gentleman that was supposed to show up was an hour late and so the owner had apologized and he actually came out himself. But I guess there was some kind of misunderstanding on their end. And then the day that was actually scheduled they didn't show up because somebody in the office transcribed the four for a nine. But when they did actually do the work, they did do a great job. I paid another $100. The job they did was really good. I was frustrated when I took the day off from work to have them come on the Friday and they thought it was Monday.

He was very nice and professional. The deal is bad. It’s not a good deal.

Worked very hard all day. Were very neat and careful with their painting. Did a second coat for all and touch up as necessary. When they were cleaning up they noticed an area of the moulding that didn't look as good as they wanted, so got out the paint again to retouch that. We couldn't be more pleased.

They don't service my area and this deal is being refunded. They were very professional and responsive.

Excellent price, excellent work, very nice job. The work crew were punctual, very considerate and polite, efficient and thorough. Job took a day longer than expected and required a third coat of paint on ceiling (at extra cost) in two rooms. the crew cleaned up every day. Overall a very good experience. We will definitely call Definition painting again the next time we need any interior work. The contract could have been more detailed, but Joel and the painting crews did everything they said they'd do and more.

It went ok. I felt like he did a good job. I felt bad because it was only 1 guy doing all the work.

Excellent. Joel came to our house to view the job site and anwer questions as well as give us a quote (we had work outside the parameters of the Big Deal) that was fair and in line with the Big Deal pricing. His crew was prompt, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Accept for the smell of fresh paint and an entirely new look for our main entryway and adjoining rooms you would never have known that two painters and all their equipment had just been there!

When Joel arrived he was prompt and professional. He gave me the quote for the balance of the rooms. which was an additional $934 over the deal, but the information was in the fine print. He told me it would take two days depending on how the repairs went. What I wasn't expecting was to have to purchase the rollers, (considering they are painters) they only used 1 but asked me to buy 3. I purchased an extra can of paint as requested and they didn't use it, fortunately it was white so it can be used around the house. The appointment was 2 weeks after the estimate was given. Day 1 - (Wednesday) Two men arrived on time and prepped in the morning and started painting the rooms in the late afternoon. It tool 2 days to get the rooms prepped before painting began. Day 2 (Friday) one came back on time and continued painting. One of the rooms was not ready for painting so did what he could and tld me he would come back over the weekend but he needed to check with Joel .I didn't hear from them over the weekend but at 8:30 Monday morning he is back ready to paint but unfortunately I wasn't expecting them that day. After conversation with Joel about the unplanned arrival we compromised on a few hours in the morning and the finishing hours that evening. They finished the job and the results I loved. I just would have preferred to tighten the communication.
