Aaron Ricks and his team gave us service above and beyond what anyone could expect from a team of painters. They painted more than 2/3 of the interior of my house. Their work and cleanup was impeccable. Aaron spent a lot of time considering the solution for one major problem area that was peeling due to moisture from an adjacent bathroom. I have complete confidence in Aaron's recommendations and his team's work. They even repaired a piece of furniture with two broken legs when I warned them that my husband and I had to be very careful when moving it. I cannot sing this company's praises loud enough. . I wholeheartedly recommend them. A very professional team in every way.

Was most pleased with the entire process from the estimate to the painting to the final payment. Mark provided the initial walkthrough and noted what needed to be done. He was most thorough to make sure everything was covered and all of our concerns addressed. He was professional and sociable. We didn't feel pressured. Scheduling was easy. Was contacted by Nia to select the paint colors and set up dates (she was great). We planned for 3 days but was able to completed the work in 2 days. Herman and Pedro arrived promptly on the 1st day of painting, walked through what needed to be done and immediately started working. Both gentlemen were professional and courteous. The repair work they did on the ceiling repatch, drywall dents, and hairline cracks were amazing. You can't tell there were ever problems with those areas (thanks!). At the end of the day, Herman walked me through what they completed and what was left to be done. They arrived promptly the next morning and worked nonstop. By midday everything that needed to be done was complete. We did a final walkthrough, they cleaned up all the areas, and were on their way. I am having new carpet and new handrails installed in a few weeks, so they said they would be back, if needed, to touchup any areas scuffed up during the installations (just need to contact Mark again). Worked with Nia to make final payment by credit card (again another pleasant step in the process). Overall, I highly recommend CertaPro Painters of Maryland and will definitely consider them again in future painting projects. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much.

They did a good job and the house is looking fine. They were quick and efficient and didn’t leave a mess. There was no coming back and we didn’t need anybody to repaint since it was done well.

My husband and I. and everyone who has walked through our "new home" loves the beautiful transformation! We chose a couple shades gray with white trim. CeraPro (Meta Cadigan) ensured that every detail was covered. I never knew my walls and ceiling could look so beautiful! We are very satisfied, and would highly recommend this company. The workers were friendly, and Meta was always available for any questions we had. It only took 2 1/2 days, and we are in love with our new home!!

It went very well. Meta, the owner, is very conscientious and friendly. We wanted the rooms painted before six out-of-town guests arrived, and Meta was very sensitive to what we needed done and very accommodating. The painters were friendly and cooperative.

Discovered after 3/4 of painting was done that interior paint was being used instead of exterior. Sloppy work on trim and old loose paint not removed, it was painted over and some areas of trim were missed completely. This was fixed when it was brought to their attention, but overall did not seem to be experienced professional painters.

Estimator was prompt with initial information. But tardy and a bit lacking with follow through on revisions. However, he was completely apologetic and professional. The estimator voluntarily and at no extra cost met with my interior decorator at the paint store to review finishes and make recommendations. That was very appreciated. When the actual estimate came in at 30% of a separate estimate from a different company, I was a bit skeptical but this company came recommended by my interior decorator. I am pleased to say the painters were very prompt, courteous, careful with our furniture, and they accomplished an amazing amount of work in just 1 1/2 days. I consider the quality to be excellent. There were virtually no drips or smudges after they were complete.

It took me a long time to contact the person for him to come out. We went back and forth and it took forever for him to respond. He gave me a wrong quote so I have him resend the quote and that took a long time but he finally did it. Once he finished, it was a good job. I saw on one of the reviews that he gives senior discount but he did not give a senior discount because he claimed he couldn’t give it. He did good work. The 2 guys who came out were good and fast.

They're very good. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They came out and they did the job quickly. We are putting our house in the market and we needed to get someone out quickly and they're willing to come out within our time frame and got it done.

We initially hired this company after the owner, Meta, came and did an estimate. She was very nice and was professional. Her estimate seemed reasonable compared with others we had gotten, so we selected her company. We were told that it would take five days for the work to be completed (Tues-Sat), which was fine with us. Due to work schedules, my husband, mother and I had to take turns being at the house each day to let the painters in when they arrived. On the second day of their work, I received a call from my mother explaining what she had been told about the work in one of the bathrooms. It had a faux paint finish, which should have been taken into account when the estimate was done. The foreman of the crew told my mother that the way the bathroom would be done is that the lower half of the wall would be smooth, but becuase of the faux finish on the upper half of the wall, it was going to be all bumpy. I immediately called and spoke with him and told him that was unacceptable. If I was just looking for someone to put a coat of paint over the walls, I would have saved the $3400 and done it myself. We hired a professional company so they would do the work of sanding and smoothing surfaces that needed it and filling any small nail holes, etc. I was called on Friday and told that they would be finished that evening and that I needed to come and sign off on the job. When I arrived around 4 pm, the workers were already packing up their equipment and getting ready to leave. I looked at the first room which had nail pops, drips and brush strokes all over it. I went into a second room and found the same issues, as well as areas that you could see had not been fully covered. I tried to explain to the foreman that the work was not acceptable and he immediately became defensive. He tried to tell me that the house was in terrible shape to start so I shouldn't have expected too much. First off, the house was not in terrible shape. The previous owners had taken very good care of the house. Secondly, the point of having an estimate done is to get the cost of the work for your specific home. There was no mention made during the estimate that the house was going to need extra work (which would have then been built into the estimate), nor were we told that the work would not be top notch for any reason. I decided that there was too much that needed to be done to deal with the foreman and called the owner. She was very resonsive and scheduled a tie to come out the next morning and see what the issues were. She then called and spoke with the foreman about the issues. The painters decided to stay that night and redo the work. When I left, they were fixing nail pops and holes in the walls. There were over 15 fixes on one wall alone when only an hour before, they had said that they were done. When Meta came the next morning, the house did look much better, but there were still areas where I was able to show her that they had not completely covered with paint, etc.. We have now moved into the house and have found many more areas that have drips, one door that was painted shut and there is even paint that has peeled off. I don't know if this is because they used too much paint on some areas or what, but it certainly was not the result we hoped for or expected. Overall, I think the owner was very responsive to the issues and made a bad situation much better. However, the specific contractors used for our home left us less than satisfied.

Responded quickly with a quote. Scheduled work within a week of first contact. Did all work in single day as promised. Workmanship was excellent. Site was left clean and undisturbed.

They are the best painters I’ve ever had. I really like the owner of the company, Meta, a lot. She estimated the square footage of my rooms using laser technology, and she was always responsive to my needs. The crew who actually performed the work was very professional, efficient, and quiet. I would definitely recommend CertaPro Painters of Columbia!

Meta, the owner, came out to give us a quote. Seemed kind of high, but we were paying for "professionals." The work was scheduled for a week and a half later. The subcontractor showed up on the first day with only one additional worker for an almost whole-house job. I had to print him directions to get to the local Duron. Little or no prep was done on the walls before painting. No primer over the spackle. Many holes weren't even spackled, just painted over. The paint job itself was terrible. Uneven lines, huge spots where the walls need another coat, paint drips, painting over paint drips, paint on the floor and carpet, little or no touching up. Wrong finish paint used in the bathroom. Both bathrooms desperately need another coat of paint. Didn't tape off the bathtubs, so huge swaths of paint are on the top edge of the tubs. Trim paint all along the carpet. Didn't protect the bathroom floors, so paint splatters are everywhere. Used two different grades of paint for the hallway/living room so that the cutting in paint is a totally different color than what was applied with the roller. (CertaPro bought the cheap paint; the first painter bought the good stuff. CertaPro didn't bother to check that the two cans of paint matched) After two days of work (where they did the hall bath, master bath, master bedroom, and living room), we opted not to have these subcontractors finish the job. We were in touch with the owner who came to have a look at what they had done. She seemed rather defensive of her subcontractors' work, as opposed to making us feel reassured that the job would get fixed to our satisfaction. She said that she would have another crew out to fix the mistakes, but upon seeing additional flaws in the paint job, we lost confidence that her subcontractors could do the work to our satisfaction, and we decided not to have CertaPro enter our house again. We have paid a partial amount for having these rooms painted, since there was work done, but now we have to pay thousands to fix CertaPro's mistakes. It all goes back to the fundamentals of painting - preparation is 75% of the job. CertaPro puts forth about 10%. Nothing that CertaPro did was fixable without completely redoing the whole painting job.
