They basically had to redo all of our crown molding, in terms of taking out all of the old caulking and putting in new caulking and painting it. They did the same with our baseboards and chair rails. They painted all our walls with 2 coats of paint. They were very conscientious. We were not able to find any noticeable flaws in any work they did. They also offered to come back in a weeks time if we did find any flaws over the next few days. They were very responsive and responsible. They worked very hard and very extremely respectful of our house and ourselves. If you are going to have work men in your house, these are the guys you would want. Their prep work was the most thorough that I have ever seen. They taped and laid down protective covers for just about anything you could think of (floors, carpet, railings, furniture). They just did a fine, fine job. There was nothing that we had, that wasn't protecting when they were painting. The estimate that they provided for how much paint we would need to buy was extremely accurate. Adam was the boss we dealt with and Walter was crew chief. They were wonderful. The entire crew was just great. The reason we went with these guys was because they had painted the exterior of our home in the past and they did such a wonderful job that we wanted to give them a shot on the interior. We could not be more pleased with the results.

The job was divided into 2 parts. 1. Kitchen and sitting room: Stripped wallpaper in kitchen and then painted both rooms. Each room was a different color. Trim and wainscoting were the same color. Stripping the wallpaper was a difficult job (apparently it had been VERY WELL APPLIED many years ago.) There were some minor issues with a few details of this portion of the job BUT here is where Blue Sky really showed themselves to be a quality firm. Adam came out as soon as we emailed him with our issues. He did not try to underestimate or down play the issues. They were issues to us and therefore Blue Sky took them seriously. They wanted us to be happy with the job. 2. Dinning Room: Painted a navy blue with white chair and crown molding. I mention the colors and trim only to point out that this was not an easy job. Dark colors can be a mess. Because we had a few issues with the first part of our job, they sent out a different crew for the second part. They were PERFECT. My husband and I both feel that part of the real measure of a company is how they handle mistakes or issues that arise during a job. Blue Sky was spot on in the manner in which they handled any issues. We just had a large gathering at our home and everyone was impressed with the job.

Adam came to our home for our estimate in a timely manner. He was very thorough, knowledgable, helpful, and answered all of our concerns and questions. Ultimately, however, the cost of the project was a bit higher than we had hoped and we selected another company. I would recommend Blue Sky Painting and may use their services should a need arise in the future.

I found Blue Sky painting online and read great things about them. They certainly lived up to their great reviews! From the first contact, they were responsive and professional. My job was a small job--installing wallpaper and painting a small powder room. However, they never treated it like it was a small job. And, most importantly, they could actually install the wallpaper. I had called a few other contractors before contacting Blue Sky, but none of them could handle wallpaper installation. I was only having two small walls papered as an accent with a wallpaper with a complex design. The installation went beautifully and the paper pattern is matched perfectly! The remaining walls were painted and look great. They arrived on-time, put down coverings to protect the surrounding area and flooring, and cleaned up everything when they were done. Great company! In fact, I am going to be using them in the next month to pain my much larger living room, dining room, stair/hallway project!

I am preparing to sell my 3 floor townhouse and the entire interior needed painting. Tom came and gave me an estimate. I wanted it done after I had moved everything out of the house so we scheduled it the week after I moved. I gave Tom a key and they completed the job in the time he estimated. I didn't see it until 2 weeks after it was finished. Other than a few paint drips that weren't cleaned up, I was satisfied with the job they did. The only person I dealt with was Tom and he was friendly and professional.

Adam came over to give us an estimate. He was very friendly and professional. Since this is not a busy time of year, they were able to do the job just one week after we signed the contract. It took five guys 2-½ days to do the job. Adam returned to inspect with us, then Abel (the crew chief) returned with one other guy for half a day to touch up. As per our agreement, we bought the paint using their contractor's discount. The amount we paid Blue Sky was $3866. This included a 5% discount, which is listed on the Angie's List page as a senior discount, but is in fact applied to any customer referred by Angie's List. A change order, totally fair but still a bit of a shock, almost doubled the cost of the project. Extra coats of paint were required in several places, and knocking out the wall exposed a wall frame that had to be patched with dry wall and painted. The quote for the window seat was an estimate based on time and materials that came out near the high end, but the result was beautiful. In fact, all of the work was of higher quality than the A-rated company that did our major renovation a year ago.

After closing on my new condo, I walked through to assess what would fit from my large home as I downsized. I was very upset by how drab and dark it was. I immediately called an Angie's List recommended painter. Tom Chervek was VERY reasponsive and set everything up on the phone for the following Monday. I purchased the paint so it could be ready for the painters. They completed the job in 2 days and even asked if there was anything else they could do while there. I added two extra requests to the job and it looks great! Much brighter, beautifully done and very efficient. I highly recommend them!

Work was done very well and in an extremely timely fashion. There was little communication between the contractor and the painter, as I needed to re-explain what was desired to the painter upon arrival. I initially thought this was verifcation, but the painter literally had no idea what to do upon seeing my house. Price was nowhere near competitor's but they offered quick service and a speedy finish time, which I needed. If you're in a pinch and need something done quickly, I'd recommend Blue Sky; otherwise shop around.

We hired Blue Sky to paint the trim on the front and back of our townhome. They matched the shade perfectly and did a wonderful job. They also powerwashed our front steps for us at no extra charge.

We had a contract for 1 guy to come out for 8 hours and paint an accent wall and then to paint the other walls. It was an additional $40.00 per hour after that. They ended up having two guys come out for a little more than 4 hours. I asked them to come back because I didn't like the seams on the accent wall. He said it would cost extra to have them come out. He was a very nice guy but I just didn't like all the extra costs. I ended up not having them come back out.

The work from Blue Sky Painting was outstanding. The estimate for the work we needed was done quickly. I appreciated that they were able to make recommendations during the estimate for different ways to approach the work -- long term vs short term. Estimate was received very quickly and was a very fair and competitive price. A professional team came at 8am every morning. They prepped each space and took great care to protect our furnishings and carpet. They worked quickly and impeccably -- it was amazing the amount of work that they accomplished over three days. The repair work to our plaster walls and wood trim was very good, with great attention to detail. The team worked independently and made suggestions that were very helpful (like replacing the vent covers vs repainting them for better air flow). Price matched the estimate and the work was completed on time with high quality. The team at Blue Sky Painting from the management to the office to the field teams likes to work together and likes the work that they do -- it is apparent in the service that they deliver. I have used Blue Sky for both interior and outdoor work and I would not hesitate to contact them again. Actually, I wouldn't work with any other company for painting, they are experts.

We were pleased with the estimate. They did an excellent painting job, showed a commitment to detail, quality work, and completed the project to our full satisfaction. You will not be disappointed with this company. My Project Coordinator, Adam Almony was just great! I cannot say enough about him. Very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. His professionalism when he came to do the estimate is the main reason that I decided to go with this company over the other two who gave me quotes. Their pricing was in line with others. The job began as scheduled and was completed in about 2-3 days. After the work was completed we walked through and created a small punch list. Adam sent the crew out right away to address the items on my list. When we did a second walk through and still had some concerns, I called Adam and he promised to address them. I was so confident that he was a man of his word, that when he asked if I didn't mind paying my balance before the issues were addressed, I said ok - and I never say that. As promised, soon after, Adam drove down from Baltimore to a look at the work and agreed that some items still needed to be addressed. A crew member (Saul) was sent out a few days later. I am a very happy customer who will not hesitate to hire them again and recommend them to others.

Our estimator Adam was insightful and a fountain of great advice. Abel and his crew were amazing. They brought in extra employees and finished the really big job 2 days early and under budget. They communicated all problems or issues to us promptly & worked to problem solve. I love this company.

Work was performed as promised in a timely fashion

Excellent customer service and performance of work from start to finish. Adam came out and provided a fair estimate, and was readily available throughout the job for questions. Saul and his crew paid attention to detail while doing the work, and left our house as clean (or cleaner) than when they found it. They didn't have a problem with our (very specific) paint type/brand/color selection or with our trickier requests (20 ft ceilings, tray ceilings). All in all, highly recommended.

The two man crew arrived on time and quickly got to work. I provided the wall and trim paint, and primer, Blue Sky provided the expertise. As they were waiting for the drywall patch to dry they found a bubbling above several of the drywall nails, and brought this to my attention. We agreed to have them fix the bubbles while they were here. I had both a time and dollar quote from them before they started, and even with that they came in below their anticipated budget. They painted an entire 30' by 20' wall and the paint looks flawless. Their work was fast, professional, and thorough. I highly recommend them to any one needing paint or minor carpentry.

There was a little bit of confusion between the meeting time and the contractors getting here and getting started. I was away, but my fiancé communicated to me that when they did get here, they had to leave to actually go get the paint. I guess I had assumed they'd come with the paint ready to roll. Other than the actual meet up, it went well. The paint was of high quality, the painters did a nice job and I am pleased with the outcome. The price IMO could be just a tad lower as I honestly had two and a half walls painted.....but you go with what's comfortable for you. I would recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I bought our first home and we had a tight window of time before we moved in. We were looking to have some interior painting and wall paper removal done with only 4 days to do it. We had a couple estimates and Adam was very helpful and professional with communication with us. Adam helped us with paint selection and catered to our requests to make us happy. He kept us in the loop about the job and crew were effecient in completing the job to our satisfaction. Blue Sky painting really came through for us and I will certainly use them in the future when the need arises.

Everything was amazing. I have never had an experience like this with a company before. They came out and evaluated everything, gave a quote for the work, explained the quality of paint they recommended. They were very, very timely. The cleaning they did was thorough and the repairs as well as painting came out great. They were very good at color recommendations and matching the paint colors for us perfectly. We were just thrilled. We were very impressed with the attention to detail and they just nailed it. Efficient, timely, clean, I cant say enough about them. They were very easy to work with from the paint crew to the man that came out and gave the quote. It was all excellently done. As far as the trim goes, we have a pergola, a number of columns, patio, a lot of trim work they had to do. It was a perfect match up as far as the carpentry work. It was an involved process.
